Just had an email saying my LFT results are outside the norm so my prescription is on hold until I've spoken to my NHS GP. Really didn't want to have to go to my doctors about this. Feel like giving up tbh.

Sorry to hear that it's not been a fast process for you. I hope that once you've seen your doctors you can get that peace of mind.

I was worried about this too once I got my elevated liver results through I thought oh there's a risk here that I may not be eligible. Coming to terms with that made me believe that if there was a serious issue that had been identified I would be glad if that, as it would have meant that had I took the medication without knowing this then it could have made me really ill.

I can point to a reason why my liver results were high- I had been taking my medication incorrectly and was at risk of poisoning ! so now I have spotted this I've stopped my medication and spent the days flushing myself with water in preparedness for getting started next week now. If I hadn't have had the report I may not have known! Id been popping mefanamic acid all month like ibuprofen. ! Dangerous. X

JBJ · 22/01/2025 14:31

@Earthgirl3971 my liver results were absolutely fine 3 weeks ago on a blood test from my GP, as were my cholesterol and blood sugar levels, all of which are now apparently off the scale! Only thing that's happened in that 3 week period is a week in Spain, where I caught norovirus and spent 4 days with horrendous D&V and barely ate a thing. Can't imagine how that's affected my previously good blood results though!

I've managed to get an appointment later today to see the doctor so I'll see what they have to say. Fingers crossed!

You say popping them like ibuprofen my husband was prescribed 400mg ibuprofen and he was meant to take 1 three times a day. He didn't bother reading the script, he'd been taking 2 four times a day!! All I could think was his poor kidneys!!

My tracking has moved from issued to dispensed and I have a tracking number for royal mail now. Looking forward to getting started.

Does anyone that's already started know how strict they are with your check in day? I have times where I may not be able to do it on a set day but could be available the day before or the day after for the check in.

Huh that's interesting - I was expecting my cholesterol to be high-ish but not as high as it was in this recent blood test. My GP rang me wanting me to come in to talk about it. Might get it re-checked by them.

JBJ · 22/01/2025 15:19

@Bear2014 it's surprised me as I have my blood sugar and cholesterol tested every 3 months as part of a gym programme I'm on, and neither have ever been even slightly abnormal. I'm a little dubious how accurate this current blood test is if I'm honest!

BruhWhy · 22/01/2025 17:00

My prescription arrived earlier! Now the pen has to sit in my fridge until Friday.

Have to say I'm really impressed with how quickly this whole process has gone. I have applied, taken a blood test, had the results and the prescription posted to me within a week.

MelodicStarfall · 22/01/2025 17:00

Stressing out. Spoke to SheMed that said it was dispatched yesterday but tracking hasn't updated (says no record try again tomorrow) on the tracking it says "dispensed" but not dispatched.

Nothing arrived today 😓

Hoping my MJ arrives tomorrow. 🤞🏽

MelodicStarfall · 22/01/2025 17:01

Did anyone else who was dispensed yesterday have similar issues or receive theirs today?

I think I'm really anxious about the whole thing- this isn't helping

Mine is dispensed but not despatched yet.
Says delivery will be Thursday 23rd January.

No panics . Almost there now ☺️ X

Anxiouslady · 22/01/2025 18:26

Hello! I’ve been following the threads whilst I wait to be approved and just had my confirmation that my pen is on its way! Feeling a bit scared now!

I tried Saxander about 18 months ago but gave up as it really upset my stomach. Praying that this may be different as different ingredient!

It’s been good to read about everyone’s blood results and see they are all different- my cynical husband was wondering if everyone got the same!

not starting until the end of next week as I’m away with work and if I do get side effects I want to be at home!

Good luck everyone!

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 22/01/2025 18:56

Those waitng at any stage hope you hear soon!

@Newshoesnewname@Newshoesnewname @themumformerlyknownas yay for doing the blood test. You know it's so scripted I wonders about AI at one point...

@MummySharkDooDoo@MummySharkDooDoo @Bear2014 @PurpleClare50 Yay for first jab!

@JBJ on no that sounds a real. Pain. Is it soemthing you should get checked out anyway (I know nothing medical but also know my surgery didn't want to work with Shemed unless paid!). Hopefully it was just a weird post bug thing or soemthing.

Eeek if shemed aren't accurate though too.

@Bear2014 Hope you're okay. I guess long term hopefully all our cholesterol will improve with weight loss.

@Earthgirl3971 gosh!!! So glad you realised about the drugs. I think it's just shemed doing blood tests for their study but it would be such good practice to roll out wouldn't it.

@Anxiouslady welcome to our community! I left it til friday too so it wouldn't interfere with work which turned out to be a good choice!!

@Mieliwood I thought initially they were really strict with the day but in my app I have a button for " request to change injection date" which just goes through to an email form.

I didn't have side effects today aside form morning nausea. I had a full day at work which distracted me. I'm very weary now though

LillithMorning · 22/01/2025 19:03

Took my first jab yesterday.

So far so good, just been more tired today, i have been nauseous but i get nauseous quite frequently anyway and doesn't feel any different to how i normally feel. Have definitely been less hungry but still have food noise. Have also been much colder than usual today.

Has anyone had to add a check in manually? I got an email saying my first one isn't showing and they know i had it, but i could add it manually but the missed option isn't there.

TheGladLilacDuck · 22/01/2025 19:09

Anyone know if you have to do the jab on the check in? Or can I jab and then check in after?

TLMoo · 22/01/2025 19:13

@TheGladLilacDuck you don't need to do it on the call but the option is there if you want it x

ForPeachSake · 22/01/2025 19:23

Hope everyone is okay, W1 D3 and loving that the food noise has disappeared, no major side effects so far so fingers crossed it continues. Just a little note for those who don't know what day is best to jab after receiving their post, I jabbed on Sunday as that is when I got home after my jab being delivered the day before, I emailed them last night about asking if it was possible to change days and they came back to me today asking which day I would like to change to so I have now changed to Friday due to multiple things during the year so really easy process. Just wanted to let you know that was an option if you want to get started rather than waiting for the best day you could start then move your day.

OneAzureMaker · 22/01/2025 19:31

Welcome everyone who's just started.

I can report that today has been so much better, after 36 hours of endless trips to the loo, stomach cramps and generally feeling awful, things are now back to normal. Thank goodness!

PurpleClare50 · 22/01/2025 19:37

@LillithMorning yes I've had an email too saying I have to manually check in the first jab after my next dose. They had real trouble identifying the barcode on my box.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 22/01/2025 19:42

@OneAzureMaker yay!! Hope it stays like this!!

Me too! Mines arriving tomorrow. Our RM postie is normally here by 11am.

I think I'll start it tomorrow aswell, if I have a good healthy breakfast and start the day right I'll go for it. I'm thinking an apple, nuts and cheese.

Plenty of water ... Ooh it's nearly here 😁 X

When you say your surgery didn't want to work with shemed unless paid... do you mean your NHS doctor wanted paying to interact with them?! 😨

Shmallow · 22/01/2025 20:20

Pray for me lads, I'm with a friend I haven't told and I've just been given the most enormous dinner and glass of wine. Tummy now making a lot of noise and I feel l very full!! Here tomorrow night too and it'll be jab day. Need to find a new normal eh!

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 22/01/2025 20:26

Yes! I got an email saying they wouldn't provide a report for a private pharmacy without them. Paying for it.

The GPS in my area are really standing back on extra services...

Can I just double check with those who have had diarrhea....
Have you been taking the immodium / loperimide as directed?

2 capsules at the first bout then 1 capsule after every following bout until it stops?

I only ask this because I have known plenty of people who don't take the correct dosage and then say it doesn't work ( DH and D son in law I'm looking at you 🙈)

If you all have been it will help me to decide whether to risk it during the work week or not .
