This is a thread for all those who have started or are about to start the Shemed programme in January.

Those waiting for blood tests /first pens hope you hear soon!
Those on their first/second jab hope it's going well - do come and tell us how it's going.

This is designed as a supportive space to share with each other how it's going, worries, side effects as well celebrating wins and results :)

Oooh I saw they have a Facebook group, definitely don't want to join it. It's a small world and I don't want to share personal stuff with anyone who might know me! I like mumsnet for that reason, I can tell you all I just spent an hour having explosive diarrhoea and I won't have to make eye contact with you on the school run afterwards 🤣

A silly question...can you choose a weekend day to do your weigh ins and take your jab? Is there someone available to do the live check ins at a weekend? I've always weighed on a Saturday morning through the years of SW so I'd like to keep the same day if possible x

Yes 24/7. I think it's call centres. Mine sounded American.

I’ve had a brief catch up of how you’re all doing everyone is doing so well 🎉

today was day 4 post first jab.
Woke up not feeling hungry at all, ate breakfast nearly forgot lunch, I was WFH today and looked up and it was 2pm lol

But by dinner was more hungry and managed an almost normal size portion of pasta bake. I wondered if my hunger is starting to come back.
I did read it will wane towards when the next one is due.

I’ve also been full of cold last few days so not sure if that’s why my hungry is less 🤣

I’m looking forward to Friday and weigh in day, I’ve avoided the scales so far 🤞

Just did my blood test tonight , as a nurse thought I would be fine but I didn't bleed managed a dribble and have sent it in but did message them via the app.
Has anyone else had problems .I am bad bleeder , was hydrated

Those of you have have already received jabs- did you get tracking details for it?

Who was it delivered by?

Mine arrived the day before it was supposed to while I was out, so I don't know who delivered it. It was the day after I got my results and was approved.

I haven't had any tracking details either but still says estimated delivery today.

Blood test done for me. That little device is brilliant

I am also a slow bleeder and I was worried that there would not be enough blood - but there was. 🤞

I was worried about this because my blood took ages to come out and there wasn't much in the pot. I expected to be asked to do it again but I got results yesterday. You should be OK.

Hi all hope you're having a good week.
Just had my first jab - was too impatient to wait until Friday!

Ime tracking for everything at the moment is super unreliable, whatever I've ordered and whoever the courier! Fingers crossed the jabs arrive today for everyone.

I'm headed away for a couple of nights so will have to take it and the scales with me as it's second jab day tomorrow. Hoping very much the second week is as smooth as the first.

Did you get one of these emails? If you click the link there is a tracking number there once it has been dispatched. Mine is being sent through Royal Mail.

@FollyDear I don't think it's been shipped yet. It said "will get an email once dispatched" but just says the prescription has been issued

@FollyDear it's me being a moron, I do have that email, it's been dispensed but not dispatched yet :( hopefully will get dispatched today so I receive it tomorrow

Just had an email saying my LFT results are outside the norm so my prescription is on hold until I've spoken to my NHS GP. Really didn't want to have to go to my doctors about this. Feel like giving up tbh.

The main facebook group isnt very nice, i joined and left quite quickly. Im on another which isnt created by Shemed and the ladies are so lovely and supportive. Definitely recommend that one - Shemed Warriors

Did my first jab yesterday and cautiously optimistic so far. I know if might increase as I go but no real side effects so far apart from slightly thirsty. This morning I had a tiny portion of yogurt and granola and I'm still not hungry despite getting the kids up and to school, commuting into work and being here for a couple of hours now. I've got a wrap in my bag from pret so I might try and have half of it soon and then half later.

Same here. Jabbed last evening and was expecting the worst. But so far just a little burp here and there

If you want to have a nosy at the Facebook group you can set up an additional profile in Facebook and then use that profile for any groups you want to keep private. Just make sure you don't add any of your current friends to the new profile.

If you do it, just make sure Facebook is signed into the new profile before you click on any links to join the SheMed group

My blood test arrived this morning (via Royal Mail) and I've already completed it and sent it back this afternoon.

The test itself was a breeze - the guy on the call insisted he stay on to help but he didn't really need to. Didn't feel a thing. He was nice, although at one point I wondered if I was talking to an AI.

Anyway, nerves are over with as I've sent it off.
