Morning!
Hope evryone is okay. Great to read the posts and welcome to new people 😊. And we'll done for scraping in before they put the prices up! Hope first jabs go okay and you don't have too bad side effects. I felt quite unwell for a bit with the first one but it did pass for me.
Re side effects - someone asked if they do respond and if you report side effects they will ring you if they are concerned or sned a general email and ask you to contact them if you want them to ring. Much of shemeds customer service is slow but that side of things seems to be working in my experience!
@SeaStoat mine actively won't engage and sent me a text to say so. I think the GPS are pushing back on extra work the prescribing service should be doing. Similar with adhd meds in our area. So I had the same thought!
Yay for a fab loss and hope 5mg jab is okay. I'm jabbing Friday and half expecting to react a bit Saturday so don't have to be anywhere!
Oh @Mumof5cubs just seen your post and sorry its been horrible. And got worse 😔. Have you contacted shemed for advice? I hope today is better for you. I think I'll be in the same boat this weekend. I'm trying to tell myself it's the biggest leap (as in doubling the dose) and will be worth it but you do sound really ill. Hope you got some sleep x
@Mieliwood sorry you're suffering too 😔. I hope it adjusts soon for you.
@Reginaphalangeeeee I had my first period straight after my first jab and it was a couple of days longer, heavier and "clottier" than usual (actual might explain some of my side effects). I do wonder if there is a link. I wonder if it will happen to our next one too or if it's just the first one. It's bizarre they're nto collecting this data if they're interested in a woman's perspective. I still suspect it's a marketing ploy and they're just after data to show they work.... But I'm still very grateful for the reduced rate!
It does sound like they're really busy at the moment I hope it calms down a bit and they are more contactable/responsive in general.
I hope those with side effects improve and that everyone else is going okay with it all.
I risked fish and chips last night as the kids wanted it (forgot I'd need to take out a small mortgage to do so! So not a cheap meal anymore!!) and had a piece of battered fish. I only took a small handful of chips, added some veg and actually was satisfied. I really enjoyed the fish. I do think even if I was "full" in the past I'd have impulsively kept going till all the chips were gone... It really does do magic other than just making you feel full doesn't it.
I was diagnosed with adhd this week (not a surprise but a while waiting) and I do think my impulsivity around food is a factor in why I'm so big!
