Hope it treats you well and doesn’t ruin tomorrow for you!
My W1D2 was fine. Occasional stomach cramp and maybe twenty minutes of mild nausea right before dinner (think I was hungry?). Fingers crossed it’ll be just as easy for you.

Thank you! Slept very well and so far, so good - no side effects whatsoever.

Well all, a little update!! It's just turned mignight and today i finally get my replacement pen for the one which broke. I phoned, I emailed, I posted on Shemed UK Facebook group, I used messenger. It's taken 5 days to get any response.
5 days without injection. Today is day 6.
The support is shocking.
It was Messenger that finally got them moving so if anyone else has issues, use that channel first. They don't phone back and their emails are stock.
Hopefully tomorrow I can finally take jab2

Oh no, that's shocking. What a nightmare.

I have just bought some syringes so that if I do get a faulty pen I can just draw off and inject anyway!

Seems like it might be an idea for everyone just to keep some in. I just bought 5 plus wipes plus delivery for under £10.

bertieallsort · 01/02/2025 12:11

Took me nearly 2 weeks to get up the nerve to do my blood test but finally did it! The Royal Mail tracking shows they received it yesterday morning so just waiting now. Has anyone received their blood results over a weekend or will it be from Monday that I’ll hear something?
A bit anxious about the results because I had bloods done at the gp a few months ago that showed my liver & cholesterol levels as higher than normal but they said that they thought losing weight would sort it out so fingers crossed I’ll get accepted 🤞

That sounds interesting. How would you get it out of the pen with the syringe though? Will have to research 😉

Sorry to hear about the poor service that @gillirhys Hope you get it soon.

@Reginaphalangeeeee from past experience it takes a lot more weight loss for others to notice and comment that you'd think. I was size 24/6, and reckon it will be 3 or 4 stone - and down to size 20 before anyone notices. I haven't told DH as he was ill so it'll be interesting to see when he comments!

Yes! I am another who has completely changed my behaviour without realising it. It's extraordinary to think that this is how many people live - including those who are so judgemental about people who are fat. I forget to eat or just don't fancy anything. I want less. And was that feeling this am not nausea but hunger as I hadn't broken my fast yet?

I have been more achey - so the initial reduction in arthritic pain hasn't sustained. I am hoping it will reduce again as I continue and titrate up.

Daily weighing - and down again this am. So feeling calm and happy about this new season in my life, and thinking about going to Vinted to watch out for my favourite high waisted Kim jeans in smaller sizes.

My bloods were received on a Thursday and results came in on Sunday.

Hello everyone! It's W1D6 for me, so I'm jabbing again tomorrow. No nasty side effects for me all week, and a cheeky weigh this morning shows I'm about 2kg down.
BUT last night I had a couple of glasses of wine, I think this was a big mistake! I had really awful diarrhoea this morning. Since then I've been okay, so I think it must have been the wine which upset my tummy. Anyone else had a reaction to anything like this? I've seen on tiktok people say they've gotten sick after eating certain foods so I guess for me the alcohol does the same thing. No more chicken wine for me :(

dreamingofsunshine44 · 01/02/2025 15:20

Room for one more? Wk1Day1 but been following this thread for a while and it really helped in my decision making to go with shemed so thanks all. I've found it all more straightforward than expected so far. No side effects this morning after jabbing last night except for a slightly funny head feeling which I can't quite put my finger on, almost like you do when you've not had enough sleep. Bit disappointed that I didn't wake up 3 stone lighter obviously 😂.

HappySonHappyMum · 01/02/2025 15:22

So they received my blood test on Friday and I got my results today. Cholesterol in the red but everything else green. I am so hoping that they prescribe on this basis - do you think they will?

They prescribed for me with cholesterol in there’s so I’d say you’re good to go 😄

I got mine last Sunday, pen arrived Wednesday, jabbed Thursday. Took a while to get the initial blood test but once I sent it back everything mixed very quickly.

Hello all, hope everyone is okay. I've taken my 3rd jab today morning and my gosh I am feeling so nauseous and a headache too. Never had this on 1st and 2nd jab 😭

Really sorry to read this and hope you feel better soon. I'll be taking my 3rd on Monday so hoping I don't start with symptoms too. 😳

BruhWhy · 01/02/2025 20:24

W2D3, I had my first bit of fried food since starting. It was a MISTAKE. Immediately felt queasy but haven't vomited, however have been back and forth to the toilet all evening.

Fucked around and found out 🥴

Needtomust96 · 01/02/2025 21:48

Completely over indulged today. No noticeable appetite suppressant so far. 3rd jab Monday, really hoping a big difference happens when I go up to 5mg

TaliaTalia · 01/02/2025 22:13

I chanced a couple of glasses of wine tonight. Despite very rarely drinking I’m well known in family circles for being able to drink regular drinking grown men under the table. No idea how I usually have such a tolerance for it.
A glass and a half in and my head was swimming in a way it would usually take two bottles to do so it looks like I’ve become a very cheap date. Hope the hangover doesn’t match it!

Good luck! I did the same last night and didn't fare well this morning 😂😂

Good lord, do not overeat oily food.

After a week and a half of minimal side-effects, one less-than-ideal meal leaving me a bit too full (fried gyozas) has had me up all night.

Feeling very sorry for myself and never want to eat another gyoza.

Steamed gyoza next time 🙂 or if they are traditionally fried (pan fried With little oil and left to steam) you’ll be fine

3 of my 5 kiddies are gyoza crazy

I'm glad you've said as I had the same on Friday night. Can no longer eat fried foods... It was a Chinese food. It gave me suplhur burps. We live and learn don't we. Just limiting uPF from now on and we'll be good hopefully.

Took a twister wrap and water at a restaurant yesterday over my usual. It's all swaps isn't it.

The herbal teas help massively! Aldi do some nice ones I've found.

Recommendation for an amazing breakfast though: sourdough toast with a slice ham and cheese, it's a real winner and no side effects.

X

YouWillFindMeUnderCats · 02/02/2025 09:08

Good morning everyone, it’s so good to read about everyone’s experiences. I hope those with side effects have a settled day.
i have just completed my first weigh-in. My scales eventually settled at a massive 7lb loss! To say I’m pleased would be an understatement. Mind you…I have a lot to lose!
I’ve not noticed any real side-effects but I have definitely reduced my food intake. It feels as though it’s boosting my will power. There were donuts in the office on Thursday and Friday that did not appeal at all, even though I was feeling hungry.
The pain in my knee returned over the week. I’m hoping as I take more jabs it will have a cumulative effect and stay pain free longer. (The weight loss will help as well!) The last 12 months in pain have been miserable and limiting.
I’ll do my jab tonight before bed. Is it a good idea to take the pen out of the fridge a bit before injecting? I’m not sure whether using it fridge cold will sting more? (I used it straight from the SheMed box last week so it wasn’t as cold.)

Yeah I won’t be drinking again in a loooooong time! I’ve had heavy nights out rolling in at 2am and up with the baby at 6 and felt better after them than I did getting up today.

Of course today is the day the smallest has a cold and my husband left the house at 6 and won’t be back till tonight. And I can’t even comfort myself with shitty fried food because the even thought makes me heave 😂

Lesson learned!

Thanks for the warning! Fried food hasn’t really appealed yet but I’m sure it will before long so will keep this in mind.

Hope you’re feeling better soon. Do you have any peppermint tea?
