hello to everyone. Just wanted to report my journey so far as it's feeling quite incredible to me.
I'm going through week 1 jab 1 (MJ 2.5) & started on Friday 10th Jan
SW 86.7 kgs BMI 29 (this was after a couple of months of pre and during Xmas overeating!) ... thats 191 pounds for those who think in lb
CW (quite incredibly, as it's only a couple of days in) 84.3 kgs (that's 186 lb)
GW 68 kgs (approx 149 pounds)
I realise this initial weight loss is just water weight and things will stabilise ... but still!
I have had quite intense suppression since friday & it's incredibly noticeable to me as this is following from a couple of months of overeating & my appetite / urges being depressingly high.
Yesterday sunday was a good example, we had a meal with friends at home, with lots of tapas like snacks & a couple of desserts. Normally this would be a situation where I would have 1) overeaten and being tempted by everything continuously and 2) been exhausted after the meal, hungry afterwards etc.
Instead, I had a few things - half a plate, I would say - ate slowly, found it very very easy to leave food behind, made sure I included lots of veg & protein, and then had a tiny slice of lemon tart which felt quite sweet to me but it was VERY easy to just have that.
In the afternoon had no post-meal slump, lots of energy. In the evening I felt hungry around 7.30 pm, in a very normal way - not that 'urges / carb driven hunger' kind of way. I had some broccoli, bit of hummus, some fruit, some nuts. Was all fine.
So far in terms of side effects I've had only some very mild constipation that is totally manageable & that's it. So far so good but I'm incredibly shocked by how the food noise / urges have come to a complete stop so so quickly.
