I am in two minds about the bonus dose. On the one hand, it would be such a waste not to use it, on the other it seems such a faff.

It's not a faff at all. For me it was easier than all the other doses. I bought a pack of needles for £6 and saved myself £40 (as I am on a stupidly expensive subscription that I didn't get round to changing to a cheaper supplier).

Snoopibird · 23/01/2025 07:41

W1 d3. Woke up feeling quite nauseous. Last night had an awful stomach ache. All day all I could eat was a rin of tuna at lunch and some mushroom and spinach at dinner. The idea of eating makes me feel 🤢 when does this bit wear off because you can't starve yourself!

myladyjane · 23/01/2025 07:41

So it's jab night tonight and weigh in tomorrow morning so I want to do a summary of how I've found week if no one minds as it's useful to me to write it down.

I feel like I've lost nothing but seem to have had quite a lot of suppression as I've turned down loads of food, stuck to my meal plans and (amazingly for me) only picked once which was licking the top of the yoghurt pot as I was portioning it out.

That was yesterday so I'm not sure if it was effects wearing off or because I was tired and hungry and did it without thinking. Obviously not the crime of the century but was a reminder to me to keep an eye out because it's the mindless consumption which gets me.

Side effects wise not dreadful. Cold and tired. A bit burpy (I tend to be anyway). Nausea especially if I've eaten a largish meal. Dizzy once or twice. On the plus side Improvement on things like heart burn and very easy to say no to crappy food.

I have increased my steps quite a bit as am normally very sedentary and have a very beginner weights routine in place. My calories have possibly been a bit low as I've eaten to hunger.

So it's doing something but only tomorrow will tell the actual weight loss.

sociallydistained · 23/01/2025 07:50

I've had two days of mindless eating and it's really bought up a lot of feelings of why am I like this etc. I am due on today and just pray it comes with my suppression back 😂
It is injection time tonight so hoping with the combo I'll be back to feeling better tomorrow. I think it's made me worried as usually on a diet id manage 2 weeks too before back to my old ways and that's how this feels whereas I am hoping this is my miracle drug 😭

BreezyPeer · 23/01/2025 07:53

Hi everyone, I'm loving keeping up with everyone's journey on this thread. Some brilliant losses!
I have bought some needles for the 5th dose, I followed advice on another thread and didn't buy from amazon but from an online pharmacy instead. I am waiting for them to arrive.
Third jab today. Nothing to report except that yesterday was the first day since I started I felt hunger (missed lunch.) It was wierd but I still didn't want chocolate or crisps etc so all good.

Morning everyone!

Some amazing losses again this week, I really love reading about how everyone’s getting on. It’s such a good support network, thank you all!

w3d1 here, I did my third jab last night and think I got a bit overconfident as a fair bit of liquid was on my skin rather than in it- oh dear!

SW 16 stone 3 1/2
CW 15 stone 4 1/2 ( I did do a week before starting MJ due delay in pen arriving!)
GW 12 stone ( I think!)

I'm delighted, almost a stone in 3 weeks ( when I got weighed on Tuesday it was a stone!!)
it was my birthday this week and I avoided cake! I did have homemade sourdough pizza for dinner, but I counted the calories and was within my limit for the day.

I’ve swum, done Pilates and a couple of long walks and I’m consciously looking at increasing steps eg getting off the tube a station before I needed and walking.

Ive been really lucky with no side effects other than disturbed sleeping and a bit of nausea from time to time but nothing major.

I’ve ordered a 5mg pen which arrives today. Im not using the bonus dose, I just don’t feel confident extracting it!

Need to get measured later too.

Have a good day all and do those of you experiencing side effects, hope they disappear soon.

Usernamesarenoteasy · 23/01/2025 08:21

So today is jab day 4!
No side effects at all over the last week, although I did wake up very hungry at 2am for some reason.
Not taking my jab until later tonight as at a work conference all day today.
But I did weigh and measure.
So far I've lost half an inch off my hips, and 3.5 inches off my waist!
I'm a weird person that loses weight from the top down, so it always goes from my face first, then slowly down the rest of me.
Weight has been very up and down this week, but ended the week on a loss so all good.

STATS TIME
SW 214.3lbs
CW 196.2lbs
GW 168lbs

discoballv · 23/01/2025 08:58

Did my first dose last night after my tea, and fully expected to either be up in the night feeling unwell or waking up feeling horrendous but I feel completely normal!

I woke up feeling slightly bloated like I ate a big meal last night (I didn't!), but I don't know if that's the MJ as it's quite normal for me to wake up not hungry. I don't usually eat breakfast at all.

I forgot to weigh myself yesterday morning so I did it this morning. I've been watching what I've been eating this week in preparation for my MJ arriving and I've lost 3.2lbs since the weekend which is nice!

IBloodyLoveMyBlanket · 23/01/2025 09:06

Can I join please? Jabbed for the first time last night. V impressed and hopeful reading about these losses.

Reginaphalangeeeee · 23/01/2025 09:23

Great to read about the amazing losses on here.
I am W1D4 and so happy with the ease of eating healthy.
Dislike the fatigue.

So tempted to weigh myself as I feel lighter, but trying to be strict and stick to one a week weigh in.

I started at a significant 136KG but did loose 1Kg while in the decision stage to sign up and shock of my weight.
Prior to this I had t weighed myself in 2 years, aware I had put on/putting on weight I couldn't t face it. I was 121last I looked... those 15kg crept on slow but hope will be gone by 1-2 months. Is that realistic?

Jins · 23/01/2025 09:27

Third jab due tomorrow afternoon and I’ve woken up feeling hungrier than yesterday and that will power is going to be needed today.

Apart from a slight headache the day after my first jab I’ve had no side effects at all but my weight loss so far of 2lbs in two weeks is hardly dramatic so I’ll definitely be moving up to 5mg for my next order. have lost an inch off the area that I hopefully call my waist though which is great and confirms that what I’ve lost is probably fat.

As long as you are sticking to your calorie deficit there's no reason why you should'nt lose that in two months - I've noticed on these threads (and tbh with any weightloss plan) that the bigger you are the faster you initially seem to lose. Have you done your tdee?

I think we have to just decide "right, I'm doing this no matter how long it takes" and try not to put too much pressure to have a deadline as this is maybe setting yourself up for disappointment and failure.

Im going away end of March and would love to have lost 20lbs by then but I'll be perfectly happy with less, as long as I'm losing.

Il get there eventually and enjoy the NSV's and overall improved health along the way.

AmythestBangle · 23/01/2025 09:32

Weigh in this morning, 2.8kg in 2 weeks! Third jab of 2.5 tonight.

But you're losing Jins well done! You'll probably find you'll have a whoosh at some point. When I'm losing weight Il only lose a pound or two for a few weeks and then have a bigger loss.

Im due to jab tomorrow and definitely feeling hungrier today - think Il have a virtuous bowl of bran flakes in a min!

One thing I'm noticing this week is that the hunger very much comes and goes.
Before MJ if I felt hungry it would just grow and grow until I ate or I else I couldn't concentrate or felt ill. Now Il think "oh, I feel a bit peckish" but then 5 minutes later I feel ok again. I'm also wanting healthy stuff when I do eat - the thought of eating biscuits and crisps doesn't appeal at all, it's so weird.

I had two hard boiled eggs last night after completely going off them for ages - and when I ate them they tasted so delicious I moaned! 😂

Jins · 23/01/2025 09:40

@JoanCollinsDiva oh I’m definitely happy with any loss at all!

I’ve used an app called monitor your weight for ages and it’s telling me I should reach target in early June, just before my holiday. I’ll reward myself with a new holiday wardrobe 😆

That's my plan too. I have no desire to buy clothes whilst I hate the size I'm at, I live in leggings and T-shirts when I'm overweight which is another huge motivator for me to change. I enjoy fashion and shopping for clothes and want to be able to do that again without feeling like crying in the changing room!

The last thing I bought was a pair of jeans several months ago which I needed as I had none that fit. I bought a slightly stretchy pair from tk maxx in a size 14 - ok fine I knew I'd gone up a couple of sizes.

When I got home I realised they were actually an American brand and the size 14 was American sizing - they're a U.K. size 18. I could've wept!

That is no way a judgement or bitch about anyone who is an 18 btw - I've just bever been this size before and it shocked me.

Indeed. Should we ask for our money back?

Daytime snacking is my downfall, and at the moment I would KILL for a muffin. I definitely feel like I still need willpower, sadly no miracle immediate suppression for me. Obviously I shall be svelte by teatime. Grin

Overthemoun · 23/01/2025 10:45

4th injection today. Despite a very busy January with holidays and birthdays, I’m now down 9lbs and 2” on my waist.

im sticking at 2.5 for the next pen.

cloudjumper · 23/01/2025 12:15

Great losses y'all!

I've just ordered some syringes to get the bonus dose... I'll see how the suppression lasts this weekend, if it's wearing off like it did last weekend, then I might just bite the bullet and go to 5 mg.

Feeling distinctly bleurgh today, but it turns out that I am coming down/have come down with a cold. Might just go back to bed for a few hours this afternoon...

Grecianrainbow · 23/01/2025 12:36

I’m pushing my dose day to tomorrow so ignoring the fact that I’ve weighed and not lost anything this week (and TMI I’m waiting to go to the loo) so this may also be affecting it.
i’ve had a small scrambled egg on rye toast for brunch and am feeling full so still have some effects in my system.

I have one more 2.5 dose and am collecting my 5mg for next week.

I was really hoping to keep a 2lb /week trend to hit my target weight by the summer but may have to adjust my expectations and be in it for the long haul.

Finallydoingit24 · 23/01/2025 13:11

I only started yesterday but one thing I have noticed is that although I am not hungry, I don’t feel full or stuffed and I can eat - I just don’t have a really strong urge to and it’s taking me longer to get through food.

Also another funny thing. Normally when I’m on a diet I’m obsessed with watching weight loss shows like secret eaters and watch them to keep myself on track. Now they seem boring an irrelevant to me because I’m not feeling obsessed with food and overeating. Really weird.

I only took a half dose but so far I have no food noise. A bit of burping but nothing too bad. Also earlier I felt like I had mild indigestion. I had porridge for breakfast (although doing IF so not til 11) and now having chicken breast, veg and a bagel. Previously I would have wolfed that down and still been starving but now it’s taking me ages to get through it.

royal Mail delivered my parcel early and therefore I wasn’t in, they’ve taken it away! 😭 How will this affect it when I finally get it? I’ve contacted zava med.

RockyisMYRhino · 23/01/2025 13:27

Week 3 jab done this morning. Weighed in with another 1lb off which while not an amazing loss, still equates to an average of 2.5lbs a week so I'm still happy with the result. DH has been doing the jabs too and has lost 7lbs in the two full weeks we've done! Now to decide if we need to move up to the 5mg jabs when we reorder - I think yes as I've found the suppression didn't feel quite as strong last week but we'll see how this week goes (also need to get him to agree as he's paying for it for both of us!)

SW: 15st 1lb
CW: 14st 10lb
GW: 11st
Total lost: 5lb

My last jab was in transit for nearly a week as we had bad snow. I contacted my provider as I was worried and they got back in touch to say it would be perfecty fine.
