@YourMerryLemonWasp I've ordered 5 and I think my first dose will be 5, then I'll decide if I need to drop down.

I’m now thinking the same - it looks very easy to do half or three quarters of the amount and it’s the same price - so may go 3.5 then 5

So I'm due my 4th dose today.

Weighed this morning and I've lost just over 12lbs since Jan 1st. So on course for a stone in one month.

I can't get my head around it, I've had minimal side effects and the appetite suppression is so invisible that I don't know how much is will power and how much is the jab. I don't feel hungry and don't have those dips where I need sugar but I've learnt so much of my eating is not about hunger but boredom and wanting a 'treat'. I've ordered the next pen and just hope it continues.

This is exactly how I feel, too. I eat well/healthily, but I struggle with portion control and mindless snacking. Plus, I have a really sweet tooth! I never had that 'off' switch that tells you to stop eating when full, and if I like something, I can just keep eating forever. It is such a relief to finally be able to stop the food noise that makes me eat mindlessly, and I'm in awe how this works.

And I've also started feeling cold again for the first time in ages, almost a welcome side effect 😆

Therealmetherealme · 22/01/2025 16:00

@cloudjumper I have the cold feeling too. For snacking, I've taken a zero tolerance approach. I've stopped snacking completely, I know once I have something my brain will keep telling me it's okay. I know it's not right for everyone but it works for me. I don't know if this is my brain shifting or the jab or a mix of both.

notanothernamechange24 · 22/01/2025 16:00

Jab 3 done today.
Not had any negative side effects as such yet. Definitely eating less and less crap. Several days this week I have had one meal and a fruit/yoghurt smoothie and nothing else. Not craving chocolate like I used to. It's not been a dramatic off switch for me more a dulling down of the cravings. If I wake up hungry in the night I can now fall back to sleep without raiding the kitchen. 5 pounds down this week.

I'd like the think the dulling down is how we learn the new 'normal' eating patterns, for when we have to go it alone.

Sockmate123 · 22/01/2025 18:32

Fatigue for me in the worst. I've done bare minimum this week re kids, housework etc and no exercise. I can barely stay awake. Ate a little more today so I'm hoping that helps with fatigue. I've had some diarrhoea although I would suffer like that a little bit anyway so not sure if related. It's mild.

mince3point14159265 · 22/01/2025 18:43

@FatGirlDosing how are you doing? How was your holiday?

IdentityCrisis101 · 22/01/2025 18:46

I have used the bonus dose today! I used a drawing up needle and extracted 0.6mls, felt the same as the other doses. I can't see that the side effects will be any different, but I will post if they are.

This is my 4th dose, but 5th one extracted from this pen.

MissPobjoysPonies · 22/01/2025 19:13

So today I’ve had a bit of nausea and some faint feeling but am not sure if I’ve had one too many strong coffee (out of two coffees) or if I needed to go to the loo or if this is a side effect?
but the slightly faint feeling is irritating and the nausea to at this stage - Wk4 d5

KhakiCat · 22/01/2025 19:26

W2D1 (2.5mg)
-2.6kg (6.3lbs) total loss

I just took my second jab, yay! I felt it more than the first (which felt like nothing at all) - just a tiny prick but I think I noticed it more because I was more confident so just stabbed it in without readying myself lol

Suppression on the last day from jab 1 was still there but not as strong as day 1.

I know I can up my loss this week if I put more effort into my steps and add in a few weight training sessions. I'm going to put more effort into that and hope for another great week.

Good luck, everyone!

Laura7010 · 22/01/2025 20:06

W3D1 and I’ve lost 8lbs in the first two weeks and 2” from my waist which is amazing! I had mild nausea on W1D1 but no negative side effects since. I am finding myself quite tired which I didn’t think was a symptom but reading here now see that it could be the reason I was in bed by 9.30 last night.

Im hoping to reach a stone loss by mid February in time for half term. I’m not particularly counting calories but I’ve been on so many diets I know what to eat 😂 In all seriousness I’m focussing on intermittent fasting, no snacking and smaller portions/listening to when I’m full

How do you mean?
Did you take 2 lots of 2.5 today?
Was it easy enough with the syringe?
Sorry, that was a few questions 🤣

discoballv · 22/01/2025 20:36

Done my first dose today!

Does everyone here extract the left over dose? Would it be stupid of me not to?

I only administered 2.5mg today.I have shared a pen with my partner, so we have been extracting the doses (he's now ordered his own so no sharing moving forward). I know people will jump on me for that, which is why I was a little cautious about explaining it.

Full disclosure though I am a nurse, and have followed all precautions I would at work when using a vial of medication that is used by multiple patients (I.e Insulin), so i am happy I am able to do it with minimal risks. I think withdrawing the MJ is simple enough, I think most people would be able to do it even without any experience of dealing with medications.

This isn't me advocating for other people doing this, or medical advice, it's just what I have chosen to do. Sorry, that sounds a bit blunt, but I don't want anyone to take this as medical advice. I personally have found it a simple process, and I am sure there are videos that would explain it to make the process simpler. A dose of 2.5mg is 30-50 pounds depending on where you buy from, so it makes sense to me to try use the left over dose.

Usernamesarenoteasy · 22/01/2025 21:12

Ah no worries @IdentityCrisis101
Sorry, you didn't have to explain all that, what you do is completely your business!
I just got confused that you'd only had four. I appreciate the explanation though.
Yeah I've watched a couple videos, it does seem simple enough, but there's watching, and then actually doing!

No its fine, I guess I should have expected to be asked haha. I ordered a large box of needles/syringes, so if you did similar you could practice with one and have a fiddle about with it to get used to it. I find it easier to inject from than the pen.

I'm not sure why anyone would have a problem with it, obvs you are using a clean needle each!

May I ask, as you are a nurse - these insulin needles people are using - are they full size needles? (ie. not the tiny ones you get with the pens) and if so when injecting the bonus dose, do you only stick them a little bit in like the tiny needle would go in? I'm just imagining normal sized needles being used to get the bonus dose and wondering how you administer it?

They are bigger than the MJ needles, but they aren't the same size as what you would have an injection like your flu jab say. I just don't inject them fully, as deep as the MJ ones. I hope that makes sense.

Made the mistake of not taking my complete gut powder for 4 days while on holiday. Never again. The constipation side effect is real!! Solved the problem now, but not fun.

@IdentityCrisis101 where did you get the needles from? I am in two minds about the bonus dose. On the one hand, it would be such a waste not to use it, on the other it seems such a faff. All the needles I look at on Amazon explicitly say they are not for medical injections, so I'm hesitant to buy them. My 5mg pen should arrive by end of the week, so I will need to decide.

I have felt quite rough today with tiredness, scratchy throat and iffy stomach, but can't be sure it's due to mj, or if I am coming down with something. Or possibly both. 😖Maybe it's the post-jab lurgy, hoping I'll feel better tomorrow.

IdentityCrisis101 · 22/01/2025 23:22

@cloudjumper I ordered them from Amazon, I chose some sterile ones. You can also pick them up in pharmacies etc.

Grecianrainbow · 23/01/2025 00:12

So I’ve been working late and had a really lightheaded feeling this evening. I’ve eaten to hunger and was still quite low in calories, and being at work there wasn’t much of an option to choose from. I thought maybe my blood sugar might have been too low so I’ve had some Reece’s to try to mitigate it - still under my calorie allowance though. And I didn’t actually want them - which I think is a positive thing.

This is the first time I’ve felt like this, I think I need to plan to eat more on my late nights to try to prevent it happening again.

Hello all!

I haven't read the thread yet but will later this evening!

I gave myself my first jab of 2.5mg on Wednesday 15/1, no symptoms so far but not much suppression either! I'm sticking to 1,500 cals (there or thereabouts) and climbing the walls a little bit, looking forward to the food noise dying down!

I'm secretly doing this, no-one knows. I got my pen from Oushk as they let you pick a delivery day which works for me as I'm a shift worker and I can pick a date where I know I'll be in alone.

I'm massive and short and my weight affects everything, looking forward to changing my life.

So hello!

SW 127.5kg

Hello again!

Well done to all the losers on this thread, fantastic work!

I have had a mixed week - sometimes suppression/sometimes no suppression, but have stuck to 1,700 calories there or thereabouts and have bought a Nutracheck annual subscription so am committed!

I am pleased to report I have lost 3.5kgs/7.5lbs in week 1 and that jab 2 yesterday morning went well.

SW 127.5kg
CW 124kg
GW tbd - likely 60kg

Keep up the good work!
