Good morning,

W1D7 weighed although I’m not officially due until tomorrow but I’ve just had my 2nd injection as wanted to bring forward by 12 hours. Aiming to give Monday evenings for future doses. I had a slight headache days 2-3, mild nausea and woke a couple of times in the night, but all manageable (touch wood). I’ve lost 5.5lbs. I feel really positive - good luck everyone.
I’m using Voy so will need to pop my code on the other thread in hope of a discount, very happy with them so I’ll pay full price if need to.

Also, it feels amazing to go shopping and not want loads of treats, to not crave chocolate. I’ve been walking a lot and started doing 20 minute arm weight sessions.
Hoping to lose 3lb this week.
I am struggling a bit with protein - is 60/80g enough??

keeponplodding7 · 21/01/2025 07:34

W1 D2 I slept really well but the skin is so sore at the top of my neck when my hairline is - wondering if it’s lymph nodes and seen on Reddit that can be a thing. Anyone else?

If anyone knows anything that helps avoid nausea or fatigue I'd love to know!

For the nausea I've had Nexium (just from Sainsbury's), Rennies, drink diarolyte. Gaviscon is also supposed to be good. Eat little and often, including toast and some salted nuts.

I did also have to reduce my dose though from 2.5mg as I just found the nausea too much. I did 2mg for dose 2 and 1.6mg for dose 3. Am going to do 1.6mg again for dose 4.

My fatigue was due to the nausea and not being able to eat much that was healthy, just protein drinks and bars etc and toast. It improved once I sorted the nausea and ate better.

Grecianrainbow · 21/01/2025 07:46

I’m hungry again this morning w3d6. Due to job on Thursday, but I’m thinking that I might push it forward to Friday instead as if I can adjust it to Sunday in a few weeks time I don’t have to take it away with me. Plus that means I do a new dose level for the weekend for any side affects.

Dunkou · 21/01/2025 07:47

@Randomusernameforcode I'm going to use my pen a few days over 30 days. I've kept it in the fridge throughout and wipe it down each time with an antiseptic wipe. I'll check the colour is still clear and then use it.

myladyjane · 21/01/2025 07:54

For me the nausea passed fairly quickly (am w1 d5) but I have a drawer fulll of stuff like Gaviscon and rennies. Agree something small to eat helped.

My weird win for the week is that my heartburn has improved - not what I was expecting! But a main trigger for me is bready carbs and I've not wanted them so I'll take it.

Interested by the period chat. Mine arrived yesterday early hours, on time with gods full fury. By lunchtime it was down to medium and has barely bothered me. I am peri so periods are a bit unknown these days and mine are often fairly short/light so probably that given how soon I started after the jab but I'll be watching.....

Ivorymoon · 21/01/2025 07:56

Well I had a horrible night with abdominal pain and diarrhoea throughout! Lovely. Shortly after my first dose I had spicy chicken (home made and healthy though) so I’m guessing it must be that, or just my body having a strong reaction to the meds.

Hope this eases off asap as it’ll be very difficult working and looking after a toddler on no sleep!

GorgeousLadyofWrestling · 21/01/2025 07:57

For those of you doing it, how far do you click to get 3.75mg?

Oh goodness, not considered impact on my period.
I am peri and have 1day of a flood (double up on everything) and then lighter and short day 2-3.

Not had a period yet as only week 1 but not sure I can take heavier flow 🫣
I'll wait and watch for that joy.

Week 3, Day 3.

SW 168.5
CW 158.7

Side effects last week were nausea and knackered - I put it down to not eating enough, so trying to avoid that this week with little and often. Bought a snack pot of smoked salmon and egg for the train last night when I started feeling it. Lots of burps in general but otherwise feel great.

Trousers and bras are all fitting much better. My belt is in two notches and this all with being on holiday for half of last week!

I am doing my bonus dose on Sunday, and then the following week I have a 5mg pen, but will see how I feel before deciding whether to go up at all or stick at 2.5mg. It's working for me at the moment.

I'm averaging between 1150- 1300 cals per week. I'm 5ft 1.

Sockmate123 · 20/01/2025 19:26

Does anyone feel cold & tired, very low energy?
Otherwise I'm feeling fine, WK 1 D2

I felt like that on day 1, I feel like it kicked in really quickly and I felt a bit flu like. Felt better next day though.

Cremeeggtime · 21/01/2025 08:13

Grecianrainbow · 21/01/2025 07:13

Does anyone not store their pens in the fridge? It says after first use can be 30 days at room temp, so if I would use all doses within 30 days does it need to be refrigerated when I get it home? As the pen won’t know it’s not been used 🙂.

Havent thought of that! My pen arrives a bit before I need it, so I'd rather not take the risk. But I don't keep it in the fridge after first use.
I find storing in the fridge behind some vegetables means no one ever sees it 😃

Edited

I’m 5”1 and starting at 168 too! I’m on day 2 and not liking the muscle aches but trying to do 1000-1100 ish a day too! Being short sucks! My aim is to get to 10 stone and see how I feel

I'm also feeling like this, I'm WK3 D5 and I'm so exhausted I just want to hibernate. I have a toddler though so it's not happening!

Do you think it's maybe because you're not eating enough?

Ireolu · 21/01/2025 09:18

Day 4 today. Feeling not too bad. A little bit of an upset stomach today but it's probably down to last night's spicy meal. I'm feeling a bit clearer headed and energetic randomly but I think it's because I finally made the decision to start after thinking on it for 18 months!

Week 2 day 2 and I feel like my appetite suppression has gone. Literally had to force myself to eat last week and this week I’m starving! Happen to anyone else?

I am on WK2 D2 and the suppression is not as strong. I can't say I am starving but my portion sizes are bigger than last week. Although, I am due on my period any day so I so usually eat more.

I am due to order my next dose this week but a bit scared of ordering 5mg in case of side effects. Although, I have had very little side effects with 2.5mg. Slight nausea on occasions and a bit of a runny tummy.

sociallydistained · 21/01/2025 09:34

I'm due on in a couple of days and I'm suddenly ravenous compared to before. I'm tracking and allowing more calories but hopefully within a deficit for the exercise I do.

I have to say though, I feel fine not proper low and irritable like I usually do. I think I suffer from pmdd so this could be amazing if it helps that! Keen to see if period arrives on time. The hunger etc would make sense.

DGonMJ · 21/01/2025 09:54

Woohoo - I’m officially just overweight and no longer obese! Because of my SE Asian heritage, NHS classifiers me as obese if I’m over 27.5 and I’m now 27.4.
Also, I’ve just confirmed with my prescriber I’m going to stay on 2.5mg for my next pen as it’s working so far.

Finallydoingit24 · 20/01/2025 20:10

Where do you guys inject? I’ve heard that you get worse side effects from the stomach as opposed to the thigh

I've only injected into my stomach so far, alternating sides, and I've had no issues so far. I'm planning to continue, as I'm so used to injecting there (I took bloodthinners in the past, always in the stomach, so it almost feels natural).

Congratulations! I bet that feels great, well done.

I took my first dose yesterday morning and there was no reaction, good or bad. I wasn't surprised as I know it takes different amounts of time for people. I ate within my calories but definitely could have happily carried on eating. Got up this morning thinking about cereal for breakfast but the weirdest thing is happening. I'm a bit hungry but I've been sitting at the table for the past 30 minutes and I just can't be bothered to get up and get the cereal. Not having breakfast is unheard of for me. Is this it or is it some kind of placebo effect? I don't feel different at all. Either way, I'll take it 😀

Boohoo76 · 21/01/2025 10:45

Week 1 day 5 for me. I haven’t had many side effects. A little belching and nausea but the latter is usual for me. I generally wake up feeling slightly nauseous!

I do feel more hungry today so I wonder if the suppression is starting to wear off. Tomorrow is going to be the killer as I am going into the office and the food in the canteen is very tempting (plus all the free choccie biscuits in the staff kitchen).

@joancollinsdiva quite possibly, I'm struggling to hit 1000 calories most days. The last few days I've eaten more as I think the jab is wearing off and food noise is coming back.

Congrats on your weight loss 🤩

I'm on W1 D4 and had exactly the same yesterday morning and after lunch today. Didn't feel sick at all, no cramps, just dribbling out as you say!

I've been lucky so far with minimal side effects so I'm hoping this just goes away, I'm a Teacher and could really do without diarrhoea as it's hard enough to leave the classroom 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ did you take anything to help? X

Well done on your weight loss, same here, I’m on w2 d4 and for the past 3 days I’ve been the same but with some urges! Also a teacher so adds to the drama 🤣 mine started after I’d had 2 sausages for dinner, I wondered at first if it was the high fat content but surely that’s passed now?

Someone further up advised reading through some of the older threads, I’ve looked through October starters and it seems to be a fairly regular side effects. The advice, which has helped me greatly, was to drink electrolytes and try to eat even if you feel a bit iffy. Still not sorted but I feel less ill iyswim.
