Well I’ve just tried a Lindahl protein thing and OMG it was disgusting! Lemon cheesecake flavour apparently but it just tastes of cardboard and fake lemon flavour. Won’t be bothering again.

Because my diet is so restricted (medically) and because a few things I am allowed I absolutely detest I’m finding tweaks to make it lower carb very challenging but I’m getting there slowly.

Oh god me too! I really need to stop looking. I’ve still got it in my head if I don’t like this first week then I’ll stop…..

I swear everything I read leading up to taking it was positive 😂

W3D1 total lost over the past 2 weeks = 12lb.

Last week was grim. I ran out of energy by Tuesday so when I wasn’t working I was huddled under a blanket feeling very sorry for myself. And then my period started, and was odd - heavy-ish is the morning tailing off to the evening, then back to the beginning. Weird!

Today, went for lunch with friends and had just a starter and even refused cake!

I am using a new needle every time with the pen. I meant when doing the golden/extra dose and extracting the dose by using a needle and syringe do you extract then inject or have to put another needle on the syringe?

Give some of the other flavours a chance, the lemon one I think is like perfume. The white chocolate/vanilla/stracciatella flavours are all just on the sweet side rather than too full on flavoured. Raspberry is quite nice too.

Good tip @RosaBaby2 but I’ll only be using them in an emergency if at all. I haven’t had a ‘thing in a pot’ for years, just tried this time because I’d had homemade shakshuka (without egg) and my protein intake today hasn’t been great No egg because it’s in the aforementioned things I’m allowed to eat but detest

Starting my first dose tomorrow! Any advice. Is there a best injection site?

Ahhh, sorry my misunderstanding! I thought you were talking about just leaving the same needle on the pen.

You've got me thinking now 🤔 I'd assumed it would be OK to use the same syringe and needle for the extraction and the administration.

On another topic, and I know it's a bit controversial but what are people's views on using a pen post 30 days if its been in the fridge?
I've been reading loads and I know it's against the guidance but I can't find anything concrete about the potential risk.
Not saying I'm going to do it but just mulling it over as my next pen is a 5mg one but I'm planning to start with a 3.75 dose from it so I reckon there will be one more week after the bonus dose left at the end as I'll using a quarter less each time.

@KrankySchwester I'm w2d4 and I'm really struggling with just wanting to, hide in bed. It's proper fatigue.

Oh and I had a period the day after my first jab and it was soooo heavy and crampy. I'm irregular so no idea if MJ brought it in or just coincidence but it was certainly more full in than normal and 4 days rather than 2!

I'm also feeling like this, I'm WK3 D5 and I'm so exhausted I just want to hibernate. I have a toddler though so it's not happening!

On the needle thing, my supplier advised me to take 5mg to start with and just take half doses...so I'll need more needles....where do I order them from?

Re 30 days, I don't know about MJ but when my DH was on Ozempic he went way over the allotted time and Dr said it was fine. It might lose a little of it's efficacy but not dangerous. I dont know if the same is true for MJ but as I am doing half doses mine will last up to 2 months and it didn't seem to be a problem for the prescriber 🤷‍♀️

I was hoping it might go by wk3 😬. Bit worried it might get worse with going up a level to5mg too.

I need to function for work.

If anyone knows anything that helps avoid nausea or fatigue I'd love to know!

Who is your prescriber, is there the option to but more needles from them?
I haven't bought any needles, I got 1ml insulin syringes to use for the bonus dose.

Week 2 day 2 and I feel like my appetite suppression has gone. Literally had to force myself to eat last week and this week I’m starving! Happen to anyone else?

First week weigh in this morning and I’ve lost 7lb.

I’m looking forward to taking the second jab tonight as I’ve been so hungry over the last couple of days! However, as it’s my birthday, I’ll have a slither of cake to be polite before taking the injection.

As long as they are ISO 11608-2 compliant, and check they fit the pen, there are quite a few brands available.

@fudge77 ideally change and prime the needle from extracting to administrating. The needle you use to extract may get a tiny amount of the red plastic in, so could block the needle, pushing it through the red part could also blunt it slightly. It's such a fine needle, but I'm sure many don't change it.

Does anyone not store their pens in the fridge? It says after first use can be 30 days at room temp, so if I would use all doses within 30 days does it need to be refrigerated when I get it home? As the pen won’t know it’s not been used 🙂.
