@JoanCollinsDiva
Exactly the same procedure as before with the priming, and tuen it to number 1.
There is no number 2.
Number 1 means 1 whole dose 😊

Dohhhhh 🙈

I thought it went 1,2,3,4! Thank you Usernamesarenoteasy!

@keeponplodding7 I don’t know if I’ll use past the 30 days. I’ll certainly get a 5th dose out (as this is within 30 days) but I’ll need to look in to it.

That's a good idea, mixing hot and cold water... I use water bottle with markings that tell me how much I should have drunk every hour, which really helps me keeping track (can't be bothered logging my water intake on MyFitnessPal).

Out of curiousity, has anyone switched providers when going up a dose? Is it easy? How would you prove that you've had the previous dose?

Hi
i have changed providers. I used Med Express for first dose because of the discount but they took ages and I wasn’t impressed with their service. I ordered 5mg from Zava yesterday with another discount code, had to upload 3 photos and normal weight, height etc, didn’t have to send a copy of my med express prescription. They confirmed it within 2 hours and said expected delivery between 21-24 Jan. v impressed so far!

LAgeDeRaisin · 20/01/2025 16:48

@keeponplodding7 I'm 30 mins post first dose - are you feeling any side effects yet?

No not yet. I think maybe just that I’m quite thirsty even though I’ve drunk loads. Stupidly felt a bit regretful about an hour ago but I’ve thought about this for 6 months so have pulled myself together.

Ivorymoon · 20/01/2025 18:19

Hi, can I join? I took my first dose last night (I used to be needle phobic, so this in itself was a big deal!) and started my new job today which was probably quite risky. I felt fine but developed a stomach ache this afternoon which has been very annoying, I definitely haven’t drank enough water today though.

I gained weight during the pandemic, I then got pregnant in 2023. I had a very healthy pregnancy and weighed less at the end than I did at the beginning! However the past year I’ve had health issues and been more sedentary as a result, so I’ve gained more weight. I’m stuck in a vicious cycle of having joint pain so struggling to move around as much, so gaining more weight, having more joint pain etc so I’m really hoping the MJ will help. I saw pictures of myself over Christmas and I don’t really look (or feel) like myself anymore, there’s a weird incongruence, so I really want to take control back this year.

Hoping my stomach stops hurting soon though!

PrimalLass · 20/01/2025 18:43

I extracted my first bonus dose today. So easy. In fact, I'm tempted to do them all like that as I find the the Mounjaro pen really hard to use compared to Wegogy.

PrimalLass · 20/01/2025 18:44

*Wegovy

Does anyone else find it tricky to use the pen? It seems really hard to keep pressing it all the way.

Mine is ok

GorgeousLadyofWrestling · 20/01/2025 18:46

This is a TMI post warning - read at your peril!!

I just did my third does yesterday and my second weigh in. Very happy with the progress - 5kg down in 2 weeks. First loss was a high 4kg and then this week was 1kg. If I can lose 1kg a week, I’ll be so happy!

So far I’ve not had much in the way of side effects. Bit of constipation and fleeting nausea. But now some random diarrhoea has started. But it’s not what I expected - no stomach cramps or anything, or burning or painful like you’d have with a bug. It just sort of dribbles out. But no stomachs ache or anything at all. WTH?

Yes, I have small hands and wondered if that was why? It definitely could be easier.

PrimalLass · 20/01/2025 18:48

Thanks @katem98 - I have emailed the manufacturers about my pen as I ended up with two bent needles and found it so hard to do the dose.

katem98 · 20/01/2025 18:49

@PrimalLass Ah that's not good! Hopefully they can help.

PrimalLass I am planning on extracting the bonus dose in 2 weeks time. I’ve got needle syringes and extra alcohol wipes. Stupid question but after you’ve extracted the dose from the pen do you change needle? Or is it ok to clean with alcohol wipe then inject with the same needle?

Sockmate123 · 20/01/2025 19:21

I didn't think you had to change the needle each time 🙈 are you supposed to?

Sockmate123 · 20/01/2025 19:26

Does anyone feel cold & tired, very low energy?
Otherwise I'm feeling fine, WK 1 D2

Gintime74 · 20/01/2025 19:55

I did my 1st jab yesterday eve followed by a normal dinner. Today i feel fine have had 3 sensible healthy meals , worked as usual and went to a yoga class. I definitely dont feel hungry and have had to force myself to eat lunch and dinner. I am very thirsty and have drunk lots of water.

I was yesterday (had first jab Friday) but feel fine today. I slept for about 10 hours last night and also had a two hour nap in the day. I was under a furry blanket with a hot water bottle!

Randomusernameforcode · 20/01/2025 20:01

Omg @fudge77 and @Sockmate123 yes! You need to change the needle every single time! 😲😂

Yes, it's so strange isn't it? I keep stopping to ask myself "am I hungry?" But I'm definitely not as yet. I'm forcing myself to eat but I could decide to not eat without much bother.

Ive always fasted to lose weight but it was always a struggle at first and I'd still get cravings and end up bingeing. I almost can't dare to believe this might actually solve my tendency for greediness once and for all 🤞 I've always eaten relatively healthily - my problem has always been knowing when to stop, wanting starter, main and dessert plus copious amounts of alcohol!

Id go out for a curry and then come home and eat chocolate, ice cream etc. I don't feel like I'd be able to do that on MJ.

As others keep on saying: is this how naturally thin people feel? Like they can just go without quite easily? I'm feeling really excited actually today, I'm looking at clothes online planning what il buy for my birthday in the summer if I'm at goal weight!

Congrats on your weight loss 🤩

I'm on W1 D4 and had exactly the same yesterday morning and after lunch today. Didn't feel sick at all, no cramps, just dribbling out as you say!

I've been lucky so far with minimal side effects so I'm hoping this just goes away, I'm a Teacher and could really do without diarrhoea as it's hard enough to leave the classroom 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ did you take anything to help? X

Finallydoingit24 · 20/01/2025 20:10

Where do you guys inject? I’ve heard that you get worse side effects from the stomach as opposed to the thigh

Cold.. oh my the coldness! I'm freezing, I've got the fire on, hot water bottle foot warmer thing, heating on, and pj's and still cold!

I did it in my stomach, first dose yesterday. Could maybe explain why I feel rough now!

Therealmetherealme · 20/01/2025 20:21

@cloudjumper I've treated myself to some 1.5l bottles of Evian. I don't like water too cold so I leave these out and it's okay. I leave the bottle on the worktop so I can see how much I've drunk. It weirdly does taste different to other waters. Even my daughter has started drinking it.

YourMerryLemonWasp · 20/01/2025 20:25

Ugh The Daily Mail after months of positive stories now keep printing horror articles about the jab. Need to stop reading them really!
