week 1 / month 1 on MJ 2.5 done! Tonight I'll do my second jab
SW: 86.7 kgs BMI 29 (Friday 10th Jan)
CW: 83.4 kgs BMI 27.9 (today)
GW: 68 kgs (BMI 22-23)
Additional bonuses this week:
no desire for alcohol, tea & coffee in afternoon whatsover
no afternoon slump, can work through appointments without feeling exhausted / sleepy
Side effects: minimal but do exist. But that's fine, it's a new medication, body is adjusting.
I have to say I'm astounded by these results though I appreciate this may be the first 'whoosh' of water etc and unbloating after holiday overeating. But still. Even under those circumstances I've never in my whole life had such a dramatic weight loss in one week.
I've been eating well: I always ate well nutrition-wise, for years I've made each morning a small meal plan for the day for me, and have aimed to stop at enough & eat when hungry. I always drink a lot of water so that's not an issue and walk quite a lot. What MJ has done is made it possible to actually follow my meal plans to the letter - they include lots of good food so I definitely didn't go starving, just ate the right things for me and some treats. It also allowed me to stop at enough & eat when hungry. My hunger was there, very low but didn't completely disappear and I don't want it to.
Next challenge: exercise. Ideas? As we go through the first weeks does anyone want to join me in starting an exercise plan? I have been doing Stepbet for years (do you know it? it's a good app to encourage walking) and that's fine for walking, but for strength training & stamina I'm thinking of going back to Body Coach (Joe Wicks) that I used to love and/or to be courageous and do the couch to 5K running plan.
Anyway. Step by step. Very pleased with my results so far.
