Sorry if cross-posted, I've been making sure the DC were sorted for school!
@kmreeve , when do you plan to take your first dose? I think plan when to do that, and make sure you have some easy prep/balanced food in. I've been lucky (so far) with side effects, but I know some people have had them worse, so took the first dose when they knew they didn't have work for a couple of days afterwards.
Other than that:
-lots of water (like @Changingnameagain said)
-if possible, have plenty of whole foods: fruit, veg, seeds/nuts, grains in (or whatever you're able to eat). Prep the fruit and veg so you have good stuff to nibble on.
-I've been making a large salad and a couple of different soups each week. I stash them in the fridge for me and the DC - they can take some to school in their food flasks, I can take something healthy to work with me, and it means I'm getting something nutritious if I can't face a full meal. I can add protein (nuts, seeds, cheese or cooked meat) to the salad each day, depending on what I fancy.
-popcorn and rice cakes have been fab snacks for me :)
-chart your food, so you can have a good idea of calories per portion size, and ensure that you're getting enough in way of protein etc. It's been pretty eye opening for me.
I don't know about other PP, but I've found that if I don't have food ready prepped and available, it is very tempting to phone in for a takeaway or eat crap (and then feel the effects!). I've cooked up some brisket, and some chicken breasts and froze them into portions, so that I can easily add them to salad or have them with veg etc. Also made a frittata/crustless quiche thing that has also been frozen into portions and can be added to my salad...or eaten for breakfast/whatever.
