Shemed Starters - Support thread.

Hello! Is anyone starting or recently started with Shemed? I think there's a few of us on the boards. I started posting on a different thread when I was looking into MJ but thought it would be nice for us to have somewhere to share our experiences of the journey!

I'm Fatsia. My bmi is huge (22 stone with 11 stone to lose ideally. I'd be happy with less!). I put on a lot of weight after having kids and have tried all the usual things to lose it each time gaining more. We don't have a high income so it's taken some thinking before getting to this place and I'm really hopeful reading others stories of where this can lead. I. Really do want to experience the world in a slimmer body again.

I did the blood test today - stressed out this morning at the app was overloaded with so many starting on 2nd of Jan but the actual experience was great. I'm a bit needle phobic so it was great to have the little device to do the test.

Love to hear from any others interested in sharing experiences.

(Anyone wanting to debate SheMed as a company there are other threads where that is happening)

So, how are those who have already taken a dose doing?
Any side effects or difficulties?

I've had a very dry mouth and have been quite dizzy, I don't feel nauseous particularly, just 'not right', but still feeling hungry and appetite not much different.

@OneAzureMaker I’ve had spells of heartburn and a headache the first night I jabbed (but that could have been dehydration)

So happy and relived!
looks like my injection will arrive on Tuesday, but I do think I’m going to hold off injecting until Friday, or maybe Thursday evening if I can help it and don’t get too impatient 😬

Welcome @ArmyMedic2024 @themumformerlyknownas, no experience with GD but I believe mounjaro does help you can always msg SheMed on ig or their website to be sure xx

I also have a very dry mouth during the night.
Had my first jab Thursday afternoon - noticed a change in appetite (not needing to finish my plate and not wanting to snack as much) by Friday👍 Still not sure how much of this is a placebo effect though 🤔
Sat evening and today have had upset stomach and wierd eggy burps 😬 but nothing too worrying and no return of appetite. Trying to make sure I eat a balanced diet and drinking plenty of water.
Wondering if the stories I’ve read about early massive losses is due to fluid loss/dehydration.

I’ve just had approval and payment taken! I’m so relieved, especially after seeing those test results! Definitely time for change!
Hoping my pen doesn’t arrive while I’m in the office on Tues. Planning on jabbing Friday or possibly Thurs! So pleased right now!

We've been in sync up until now, I'm still waiting 😂

I have just been approved! Planning to inject Thursdays as I have Fridays and the weekends off work. Hopefully the pen will be here in time!

I think you're probably right re water loss/dehydration.

It definitely feels like a long time coming! But I think that once all the on boarding is done it will hopefully be ok!

Blood test done this morning and in the post. I was a bit worried about it as its always a struggle to get blood out of me but it was very simple and straightforward. Now just to wait for results and hoping I'm approved and pen arrives before the end of the week.

@Shmallow does yours still say 'we are waiting for your kit return' I'm losing the will here it's been 3 weeks since I signed up haha

@CleverKhakiBear I am so bloomin untrusting though my brain is just consistently telling me it's lost and I'll have to start again haha! Good job I've got a busy day at work hopefully take my mind off it
