Shemed Starters - Support thread.

Hello! Is anyone starting or recently started with Shemed? I think there's a few of us on the boards. I started posting on a different thread when I was looking into MJ but thought it would be nice for us to have somewhere to share our experiences of the journey!

I'm Fatsia. My bmi is huge (22 stone with 11 stone to lose ideally. I'd be happy with less!). I put on a lot of weight after having kids and have tried all the usual things to lose it each time gaining more. We don't have a high income so it's taken some thinking before getting to this place and I'm really hopeful reading others stories of where this can lead. I. Really do want to experience the world in a slimmer body again.

I did the blood test today - stressed out this morning at the app was overloaded with so many starting on 2nd of Jan but the actual experience was great. I'm a bit needle phobic so it was great to have the little device to do the test.

Love to hear from any others interested in sharing experiences.

(Anyone wanting to debate SheMed as a company there are other threads where that is happening)

On the box of the kit it says to only test mon-Thursday, to have fasted at least 6hrs water only allowed and to drink a pint of water 30mins before testing lovely. I hope this helps xx

I've had the same email asking to test sunday but going to do it Monday just incase. The emai said that they checked with the lab and fasting isn't actually required for the test so thats good!

Oh wow that's good that fasting isn't required after all!!!, That's a bit of a mistake to make though. And makes doing it 100 times easier. They could have realised this earlier...

Maybe they've got more lab time to clear the backlog? I think if they've emailed and said it it's okay...

Anyone having problems with the app today?
My blood results are back, I started to read them before getting son up but didn't have time....just tried again now and it won't load

Yes it's odd that there is the conflicting information about the fasting but if it isn't required then that's great!

My bloods have been delivered! Woohoo, and now we play the waiting game 🙈🙈

Some of my bloods are in the red zone so I'm hoping they will still accept me.

Just incase anyone else was wondering about doing the test on the weekend, messaged them on instagram this morning and they replied very quickly to say ypu can do the blood test on the weekend and then post first thing Monday! 😊

Good morning, just a quick question- does the blood test fit through the letterbox? I think I might be out during the delivery window! Typical!

I’m not sure! Depends on size of letterbox, I was saying yes then took my box to my letterbox and it wouldn’t have fit through mine 🫤
I had my porch unlocked for my delivery, hopefully they will deliver to a neighbour or safe space. 🤞

The obsessive checking of my Royal Mail tracking for my blood test has begun!
It was delivered back to the lab at 8.38am this morning 🤣

App still shows awaiting return of test but hopefully they will process it today 🤞

@KeenGreen mine too was delivered today very early at 7:59, fingers crossed to everyone who's waiting for blood results now 🤞🏽🥰

The app says it takes 3 days for processing so let’s see 😊

So far I have discovered I am not good with waiting lol

How did you find when your test was delivered back to the lab? Is it on the posting receipt?

I sent mine first thing Monday and it was received first thing Wednesday and there's no results yet I'm chasing it this morning

Yes there should be a tracking number on the receipt, just pop it onto RM track and it should tell you the status of the delivery xx

Yes I used the tracking number from the Royal Mail receipt 😊

Does your SheMed app still show awaiting return? Or processing the test or something?

Hiya, I got & did my test yesterday afternoon, then dropped it off at the post office.

I also had a treat lunch of a coop meal deal as my fasting reward, even though I'm reading that I didn't have to now 😂

Just checked my tracking too, it's already been delivered, that's like 16 hours! Amazing

'We are waiting for your kit return' it says on the main page

Ahh thanks, mine has reached their sorting office I think, but hasn't been delivered yet.
