Week 16 weigh in for me and I've lost 2.5 lbs, 30 lbs in total.
Hit a big goal today. I am now under 200 lbs!!!!!!!!

199!!!

So pleased with myself x x
Next goal is under 90 kgs and then in to the 13s ( I do a mix and match of stone, pounds and kilos so I get more mini goals to celebrate)

EVK · 01/02/2025 21:30

Weigh in for me today and I thought I was doing well this week but have only lost 1/2 lb. I just have to keep going. I’m about 7lbs off my GW and things are definitely slowing down. Hopefully I’ll have moved a bit more by next week.

Tohaveandtohold · 01/02/2025 23:16

It’s weigh day for me as well and even though I’ve not done anything differently, I’ve only lost 0.4lbs. I know it gets slower the less I have to lose and it’s honestly just been willpower all week because the 5mg does not seem to be working anymore but I don’t want to up my dose because I’ve only got 3 weeks left on MJ so I’m happy that I’m still losing, albeit slowly.
Glad everyone is fine and good to see @Fizzleaawayy back on the thread earlier as well.

KnewYearKnewMe · 02/02/2025 07:42

@NearlyNewHip

Brilliant - being under 200 feels great, doesn't it! I think I'm about 195 now - started at about 230.

I also do a mix of kilos, pounds and stones to get the buzz!

A slimming group I was in used to call getting under 200 'hitting One-derland' - I liked that!

Does everyone tend to weigh weekly?

I now weigh every day or every other day - I find it helps with the disappointment or euphoria I would feel from weighing weekly, it's really normalised the fluctuations for me.

TheChosenTwo · 02/02/2025 07:59

Officially hit the 3 stone lost mark yesterday and have just started my 4th pen. Stuck with 7.5mg for another month, suppression was quite strong for me this month although did tail right down halfway through this last week so will be interesting to see how this month goes.
I’m losing much smaller amounts now each week but losing is losing and I’m still 13 stone, will be happy with whatever else I lose as I still don’t really have a target in mind before maintenance.

Losingthetimber · 02/02/2025 08:13

Congrats everyone on the great losses and mini goal hitting, whoop!

@KnewYearKnewMe , I tend to do every day , but record once a week. I might take note if I hit a mini goal somewhere through. Like hitting the 11’s this week.

Was chatting to a friend yesterday, she’s been gaining and upset about her weight, she knows I’m on the meds, when I asked what she was doing she was telling me a Chinese takeaway and then a bottle of wine.

and it struck me, I used to do that, but don’t any more. I seldom drink now, only when socialising, and I think we have had one takeaway in the 4 months I’ve been on this and I ate minimally . Food and drink is no longer something to look forward to, it’s not a treat, and it doesn’t even cross my mind.

Part of me felt a pang for it,the other part said that’s what caused my weight gain, in part, clearly you can have a takeaway once a week with some wine, but need to be in control the rest of the time, which I wasn’t.

it struck me how much has changed, stressful day at work, reach for the wine, dull sat night or can’t be arsed during the week, order an Indian or a pizza.eat far too much, feel stuffed. none of that happens any more.

EVK · 02/02/2025 08:45

This is all so true. I feel the same - I still
look forward to food but it’s now nutritious and healthy food I’m looking forward to. Instead of wine I have a mug of maca powder and cacao! I am having a few, between 2-4 squares of dark chocolate (most evenings - which I’m trying to not feel guilty about - the guilt/shame feeling from binging!)) as I just desire that sweetness on the palette but before that would have been at least half a bar of dark Bourneville chocolate, if not a whole bar! Followed by crisps and other savoury things!!

om the weighing front - I always everyday as sometimes it fluctuates over the week and weigh day might not have been my lowest day ! It also keep
me
on track and as someone said lessons the low if I haven’t lost as much as I’d hoped for.

suns out this morning here so planning a good walk with a big hill!

Have a Sunday all xx

Morning all. Today is my weigh and jab day too and I'm beyond thrilled to report that at long last I have lost my first stone due to a 2lb loss this week.
SW 15st 7lbs
CW 14st 7lbs
Tonight I will jab before bed and am going up from 3.25mgs to 3.5mgs hoping that the side effects remain manageable for me. Will also order my 4th 5mg pen as I can't foresee ever getting to 5mgs let alone above that. We'll see what happens!

Was just looking at progress pics. Here they are, no sucking in, just letting it all hang out. Can see my tummy is still the issue , but visibly a big difference.

shocked at how big my stomach was when I started.

Weigh-in day and another two pounds off.

SW 20st 2lbs
CW 16st 4lbs

My losses have slowed right down to 1-2lbs a week, which I’m trying to be pleased about… I know it’s healthier and everything, but I LIKED seeing a 4-5lbs loss in the early days 😂
Hoping for a 2lbs next week to get me to a 4stone loss, which will make me happy.
Does anyone else feel like it’s become a bit routine - do the jab, don’t think much about food, get weighed, lose a couple of pounds?
It feels like this is just normal and I’ve forgotten what the food noise was like. And I don’t want to forget, because I want to continue to appreciate just how life-changing this drug is.

Great stuff, hope the all went well with your work colleagues this week!

HappyNewt · 02/02/2025 11:24

So, after having a plateau for my third pen (I stayed on 5mg as I had been losing nicely and I didn't want to risk any new side effects over Christmas) and also staying the same weight at the start of stepping up to 7.5mg, I have now started to drop again slowly! So, its looking like I may be back on track. If you are stuck then it does ''start working'' again! I am exercising consistently, which I am sure is helping now and also going to be key for maintaining once I do get down to a healthy weight.

Pleased today to have crept below 'obese' and into 'overweight' BMI, so chuffed to hit that marker, mind you, after the good start that had, I had hoped to/thought I might have done that about 6 weeks ago!!

Going to order up to 10mg for next pen.

Great offer of 30% off for new customers showing up today on monj.co.uk which makes them cheapest for all pens from 5mg upwards. I have been with them since my second jab and got slightly excited when I saw the price today, but I only qualify for their other offer.

Thanks again for everyone's posts. It is all very helpful.

Oh I was hoping everyone would post theirs too, maybe not!

and that’s in two weeks,,☺️

rockingbird · 02/02/2025 12:50

Morning all, week 14 complete! Still on 5mg.

SW: 11.13
CW: 9.3 (stayed the same)
GW: 8.10-9st

So onto week 15 and sticking with 5mg which is the last dose in this pen. The weight loss seems to have slowed down completely now and I’m going up to 7.5mg for my next pen due to arrive later this week..Might be tempting fate here but if it’s too much I can at least lower it down again I’m a bit baffled about not losing anything this week but feel thinner if that makes sense!

femininomenon · 02/02/2025 17:27

@Losingthetimber I wish I had taken some before pics from the side as my tummy was similar, I didn't realise just how swollen it was and had lost 3 inches from my waist within the first 2 weeks it was crazy. It's obviously slowed down now and I'm certainly a long way from being completely rid of it but it's remained the most noticeable part of my weight loss (and the puffy face).

femininomenon · 02/02/2025 17:31

Week 16 weigh in for me and another lb gone
SW: 17st 4
CW: 15st 7

So close to 2st and I hoped moving up to 10mg would get me there a bit quicker but I think I'm truly in the 1lb a week club! The suppression on 10 has been a welcome change though after barely feeling anything on 7.5, didn't feel hunger once until I woke up ravenous on Thursday but then Friday/saturday/today I've been barely hungry again. Fingers crossed I don't get the same nauseas and sickness after jabbing tonight as I did last week though. The trapped wind pain also ramped back up again later in the week, I'm not sure why that builds as the drug in my system reduces but the peppermint tablets have still be working well.

Me too, in hindsight I looked pregnant, and same with puffy face, my doctor thinks I have insulin resistance.

femininomenon · 02/02/2025 18:07

Yes I've only since learnt about insulin resistance and think I am probably the same.

letshavetea · 03/02/2025 06:23

Good to hear all the updates. @recklessgran - congratulations that’s fab news! @Losingthetimber - wow - you can really see the difference. I think I should take some pics too.
I took dose 19 (5mg) yesterday. Disappointed with weigh in today as I’ve gone up a pound to 11 stone 13.5 pounds. So disheartening and not quite sure what to do. I’ve stayed on 5mg as even with this dose I have nausea, heartburn and constipation on occasions. I still have suppression but can now finish a meal. Total loss since October is now only 10 pounds.
This is a very expensive way of losing not a lot!

lapuf · 03/02/2025 06:33

Ah that's annoying tea Sad 10lbs down is still significant but frustrating for you I'm sure

letshavetea · 03/02/2025 06:38

@lapuf thanks! I’ll just keep plodding along and hope things get going soon. I plan to up my exercise this week and really push the water.

lapuf · 03/02/2025 06:52

The why we eat too much book's section on exercise is really interesting (I'm a bit evangelical about the book!)
He says unless you're doing a tonne of exercise a day and burning more than 600kcal your body will just adapt and change your metabolism to reflect the change. My DH runs 10-12 miles a day and this is in that bracket (annoying for me).
Same for calorie restriction up to 600. I've not counted any calories at all and done ok. It's about leptin and insulin and your fat cells letting your brain know you have excess fat, which sugar/wheat/upfs interfere with. I find it so interesting, having been shit at biology at school!

lapuf · 03/02/2025 06:53

Ps obviously still need to exercise for health and appearance but not for weight loss was my take away!
