I have gained 0.5kg since my last official weigh in the week before Christmas, I am very happy with that as it would have been far more in the past and I have had treats and nice meals.

I have gone up to 7.5 today, using the last of my second 5mg pen (didn’t want to move up before Christmas) and 2.5mg in a syringe from the bonus dose. I am moving to 7.5mg anyway and my new 7.5mg pen is waiting to be collected. Hoping the suppression will be improved as I have found it quite hard the last couple of weeks.

Good luck to all as we continue our journey, just imagine where we will all be in 2026, even those of us who lose slowly!

Tohaveandtohold · 11/01/2025 15:58

Weigh and Jab day for me today. 2.4lb loss this week which was totally unexpected. I’d been comfortable with losing 1lb a week for the last 2 weeks and didn’t do anything differently.
I’m now in the 10s.
SW: 87.1kg (192lbs)(13st 7)
CW: 69.3kg ( 153lbs)(10st 9)
14 week total is 17.8kg (39lbs)
I’ll be using the bonus dose of my 2nd 5mg pen this evening.

TwinklesToes · 11/01/2025 16:03

Week 14
lost 1.5 lbs this week, down 2st 7.5lbs.
still taking 5.0 mg

Bluenose1966 · 11/01/2025 16:23

Lovely to read everyone's weight loss updates. I am 58.5 years My metabolic age has reduced from 60 56 according to my scales since mid October so pleased about that.

I went sale shopping in M&S yesterday and normally the size 16s would be sold out and plenty of size 12s available. Well yesterday it was the other way around.
Think the weight loss injections are definitely having an impact.

lickycat · 11/01/2025 17:21

igivein · 11/01/2025 11:41

I’d try and get as much as possible out of the bonus dose - treat it as a ‘bridging’ dose. There probably won’t be enough in the pen to get 7.5, but you might get 6 or a bit more.
I can’t think of any reason not to, if your new pen had arrived in time you would have been taking 7.5 this morning anyway.

Thanks. That’s what I’m thinking. I’d be going to 7.5 today if I had the pen, so I could use the bonus dose to make 7.5 (so the official 5 dose, plus another half a dose). I’m considering doing that after 3 days, just to be on the safe side, because I know you can have doses 3 days apart safely if you forget a dose.

So have you done what I’m considering? Made a 7.5 dose out of a 5 pen?

I ‘should’ be going up to 7.5 today, but a) I don’t want to waste my bonus from 5 pen and b) I haven’t got my 7.5 pen yet as I switched providers at the last minute to save money.

Evenstar · 11/01/2025 17:37

@lickycat yes I did, like you I am going up anyway for the next pen and that has been approved by my prescriber. So a full dose from the pen and half dose with an insulin syringe.

coastergirl · 11/01/2025 19:54

My brain won't work, can anybody help pls? I've just done my bonus dose from my 7.5mg pen using an insulin needle. I got 0.78ml. What dose did I get?

@lapuf thank you

No worries Smile hope the dosage increase goes well for you!
This has been my first week on 5mg and the suppression has been very good, still able to eat healthy, moderate portions though.
My loose New Year's resolution was to eat more than 30 fruit/veg/nuts/seeds per week and I've done 32+ this week, hopefully it's a sustainable new habit as it's adding rather than depriving and also the more veg and salad I have in me, the less space there is for sandwiches!

NearlyNewHip · 12/01/2025 08:02

Was fiddling around with the BMI calculator last night and worked out that I need to lose a stone to drop in to overweight. So that will be my next goal and would love to hit it by the end of March, so 11 more weigh-ins. My average is 1.75 lbs a week so should be doable

KolaKoalaKan · 12/01/2025 08:36

Congrats to everyone on some amazing losses and for those heading towards maintenance- I'm impressed! I've still got just over 5 stone to go so maintenance is a loooong way off!

I've just lost 1lb this week but since Xmas I'm suffering with constipation. Reckon I've got about 4lb sat in there just waiting to be downloaded 🤣💩

I've just done 4.5mg after many weeks on 4.25mg. I want to push up gradually. I'm struggling like others to get back on track post Xmas. Too easy to push past the suppression to snaffle biscuits and chocolate. I'm getting a bit down on myself about it. My husband's birthday is today so will allow a few more days of the treats being in the house and then I'm going to have to banish temptation I think.

I'm having an exercise issue! I haven't been doing anything yet except the odd walk. Then I started a chair exercise routine (I have chronic pain) and wanted to do some weights to help with muscle mass. But just before Xmas I got a hernia in a surgery wound from last March. GP says 6 month waiting list for op. And now I don't think the chair exercises and weights are a good idea? So do I just go to walking? I feel quite worried about making the hernia worse, especially as it's not being helped by the mounjaro induced constipation!

igivein · 12/01/2025 08:56

Weigh in day here.

SW 20st 2lb
CW 16st 11lb

loss this week - 1lb. Had hoped for a bit more this week as I’ve been back on track after Christmas. Oh well, onwards and downwards. A loss is a loss I suppose.

ApolloandDaphne · 12/01/2025 08:57

I lost 2.5lb this week but that includes the 2lb I put on over the holidays. I'm just happy I am reducing again. I'm staying on 5mg for the next month and then I will decide whether to move up or not. I'm actually happy going quite slowly and having a some appetite rather than full suppression.

Losingthetimber · 12/01/2025 09:04

@KolaKoalaKan I think for a hernia it’s swimming walking cycling etc. but your doctor would be best placed to advise. I’d not do weights.

@NearlyNewHip , I’m also a stone off a healthy weight. Well 15 lbs. But two away from goal. It’s a nice feeling that the healthy weight is in sight, and closer than obese.

on a separate note, I’ve been having a histamine reaction in my injection site, red, swollen, itchy, and have been taking anti histamines, and using antihistamine cream and hydrocortisone cream, it calmed it down, but it was still hugely irritating for 3 days.

yesterday I did my second 10mg, and normally day after jabbing I’d wake up with a reaction, today there is nothing. I even wondered if I’d injected, I was so expecting it.

I think I read somewhere that it stops and your body adjusts, so fingers crossed, will keep an eye on it anyway.

EVK · 12/01/2025 09:05

@KolaKoalaKan is the hernia abdominal? Sounds like you need to avoid weights. But you could do something like Pilates (find an online video for people doing Pilates in their chairs/with a hernia? There might be something out there?) Simple things like doing press ups against a wall (using your body weight, start really small and work up over the weeks) just go really careful and listen to your body. Maybe try using exercise resistance bands for some simple arm and leg resistance. Walking is definitely the best but you may have to be careful with hills - you just need to listen to yourself but don’t stop doing any kind of exercise - even simple step ups on your stairs - anything !! Could your GP put you in touch with a physio therapist ? They would be able to advise on safe exercises xxx

Had a cheeky mid-week weigh in this morning 9stone 6lbs!! Bizarrely I have felt ok this week on 5mg and far less suppression but 2lbs down already from Saturday 🤷🏼‍♀️. I'm nearing my GW of 9stone (ideally 8.10-9) so starting to also think about maintenance. I can't actually believe I'm still managing to lose weight. I'm trying to incorporate some weight training into my daily routine, I suspect I'll build muscle weight quickly from previous experience but need my mind to catch up - what I see in the mirror is still the overweight person with bulging bits!! Anyone else have that mindset?

This is fabulous 🙌🏻 the weight loss and almost reaching GW. The mind catching up with the body is definitely a thing. Create a new story or internal dialogue (new neural pathways) about yourself and begin to identify as a healthy, fit and strong person! Everyone has bulging bits I feel, even when you are really thin you can find them so also just be kind to yourself and look at the overall picture. You’ve done brilliantly.
I’m 9.7 but plateauing (over last 3 weeks) - went up to 4mgs this week so hope that helps (I’m on week 19 I think ) I really hope I have t over done it!! - yesterday I didn’t want to eat all day! Had a good sized evening meal though and a few squares of dark chocolate! My goal is the same as yours - just under 9 stone (give myself some wiggle room) I’m 5.1and a bit so it’s a good healthy weight for my height. I too am now thinking a lot about maintenance (which is the next big step) This last 9lbs seems really hard to move!!! Body holding into to it desperately!!
I'm hoping someone might have a code for Ousk ? (Not sure that’s how you spell it?) I’m with ASDA and they’re so expensive!
Happy Sunday all xxx

UtterlyQuackers · 12/01/2025 10:52

I've just ordered with pharmacy 2 u. £60 off for new customers.Best price I found for 12.5mg though delivery is steep.

I'll let you know how they rate. IQ doctor were pretty slow but I was not in a hurry, so didn't mind.

Given up with MedExpress, they are not competitive!

Bluenose1966 · 12/01/2025 11:16

@EVK. Oushk currently have NEWYEAR for £30 off.
They reduced their prices particularly for the bigger doses so they seem to be more competitive.
Although I could get cheaper, I always check monj.co.uk for best prices I am sticking with Oushk as going to do maintenance with them. They do seem to have good systems and support in place.
I have a consultation with them next month for maintenance and hoping they will let me do 5mg month on /month off as my long term plan. With the bonus dose it would only be 3 weeks without. Doing this would also give me the option to reduce my dose to maybe 3.75mg if suppression too high and eke out a week or so longer.
Resigned to having to take something for life but this way may reduce monthly cost by approx 50%.
I was also considering Flex plan where I pay £15 per month then get the MJ every couple of months if weight starts to come back.
Difficult to know best approach unless try it I suppose.

TheChosenTwo · 12/01/2025 12:07

@Bluenose1966 is that code for new customers or existing ones? I’ve never bothered with codes as they usually come about just after I’ve ordered and I doubted they’d approve it as it was always too close to my previous order and I just figured it would be for new customers only to lure people in!
I’ve been with Oushuk from the beginning due to being able to choose a delivery date for when I’m home.

Bluenose1966 · 12/01/2025 12:24

@TheChosenTwo That code is only for newbies however there is a £15 off code for existing customers WINTER. I find Oushk have offer codes most of the time. If you are in their FB group they normally show them under “Featured” or the right hand column of the monj.co.uk discount table shows the codes in last column.
I like that when on maintenance you get codes for 15% off and free postage so even shopping around doubt will get much cheaper.

I'm finding the same as you WRT the histamine reaction. I think maybe injections 6-12 had quite strong reactions, but 13 didn't last very long and number 14 is barely visible! Thank goodness, kinda embarrassing if it got to swimwear season and I've red marks on my thighs!

Mysticmaiden2024 · 12/01/2025 13:28

Last 3 jabs I've waited for pen to warm up before injecting and no more big red itchy rash that I've had on previous 12 or so!

Ah that’s interesting as sat was my 14th, still no reaction.6-13 wasn’t good, escalated a lot, and last two weeks the same, but tailed off after third day, rather than lasting all week, and now nothing at all this week. Fingers crossed that’s it and it doesn’t happen again.

ive no side effects other than suppression. Except one. I’m freezing, heating on full bung, layers and big socks and a fan heater blowing hot air straight at me and I’m still freezing! Husband is due home in a couple of hours, at this rate he will be sitting here in his boxers sweating 😂
