Crazy we have come this far

Heading to 5mths - that's almost half a year

We have all done so well.

Be proud of ourselves

Yes we have Christmas Day to come but remember that eating a meal and some yummy stuff isn't going to make us all gain the weight back

We have to have some treats or else what is the point in life

Saying we are never going to eat ...... again isn't sustainable

But having one /small portion of something we want is a good thing

We have learnt restraint !!!

To 2025 one and all

Good luck with WWJ, @Blondeshavemorefun 🙂

NippyCrab · 09/01/2025 08:31

@SilverSprings510 I'm loving your motivation, 🏃‍♀️👟

NippyCrab · 09/01/2025 08:36

@Motnight I was telling DH about your DH NHS pen prescription, its gone to the dogs!

I need to get organised, my wee head boxes are in order for walking, pharmacy, post office and home to gloss the kitchen. If it goes to plan my head is happy 😂

What disperses tummy fat? Apart from cardio, no cardio 😆. If I massage it will that help? I'm serious lol. Xx

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/01/2025 08:54

If uou find out @NippyCrab let me know

Mon day 4 I was queasy then sick on empty stomach - well had electrodes. Then was starving and ate and was ok

Been fine since

Often have

Porridge

@Blondeshavemorefun howling 😂😂😂

I have a story about a fanny tuck actually. A friend of a good friend had fat removal and a tummy tuck. Unfortunately she continued her bad eating habits and the fat started going to, yep, her fanny haha. I had no idea this was a thing until my friend was telling me. She went back to her surgeon who told her he wouldn't correct her fanny until she had undergone counselling and a healthy eating course again haha. Imagine walking about with this pouch of fat 😳. It has been rectified and she is on WLI and has been for a long time.

Azuresky68 · 09/01/2025 09:15

Morning all! Freezing in Yorkshire so the roads and paths are lethal. I haven't been out since Saturday but have enjoyed being very lazy and home alone. In the past I wouldn't have stopped thinking about food but none of that 'food noise'
Got my friend to take a photo and I can really see the difference so feeling super motivated.
I have got all the email replies about maintenance plans - no reply from IQ Doctor. It's between Cloud and Ousch and it's going to be down to price. I haven't added up how much I have spent on the jabs but if I feel guilty I tell myself that I don't have a flash car, posh house, jewellery or designer clothes and don't want any of that. Being a 'normal' weight is one of my biggest goals in life. Let's hope I can keep it off! Before and after photo shows what a difference it makes when you are a short arse like me 🤣

Azuresky68 · 09/01/2025 09:44

@Blondeshavemorefun oooh all of those breakfast ideas sound yum! I haven't decided yet either. Someone posted a pic of a protein coffee so I thought I might try one..guessing protein powder mixed up with cold water then add coffee - might be carnage! The cold weather makes everyone hungry doesn't it? I am going to make a nice soup today. My friend suggested vegetables, cooked chicken, black eyed beans, sweet potato and a bit of coconut milk with jerk spices. I have everything apart from black eyed beans but can substitute with other beans from the cupboard. Will make a bog batch and try not to eat it all today! Hope you get sorted on the dosage. 12.5 or 15? I am getting 12.5 delivered today but have 2 doses of 10 left.

Azuresky68 · 09/01/2025 09:49

I started tracking on MFP in 2012 with lots of breaks. Before 2012, I had gone up to 14 stone. The graph shows my progress from 2012 to the present day!

@Azuresky68 that is a huge difference in those photos!!!! Go you. You should be so pleased with yourself. 👏

MargoLivebetter · 09/01/2025 10:11

@NippyCrab is fanny fat the same as a FUPA? My mid-20s DC refer to this phenomenon, that I hadn't really ever heard of, but is something to do with fat on the pelvic area or similar. As you can tell, I don't really know what I'm on about 😬.

He has an appointment towards the end this month. He definitely needs to go up to 7.5 as he is hungry but has had nobody telling him this. So the last few weeks of 5 have been a waste IMO. I honestly think that his clinician has no idea the amount of pens he has been prescribed. He asked the pharmacist about this and they couldn't help which is fair enough but he's done his due diligence around letting the NHS know his surplus of pens. Why would he have 6 pens?! If he gets prescribed the 7.5 pens I am seriously nabbing the remaining 5 mg ones.

MargoLivebetter · 09/01/2025 10:47

That sounds about right for things in the NHS at the moment @Motnight ! Definitely better to use up excess pens, because if he returns them they will be destroyed. Obviously that is in my opinion and not official advice or whatever 😁.

Gosh that's brilliant well done. You look great!

Don't feel guilty, think about what this is doing for your health and wellbeing. It isn't about paying to look better, it is about reducing your risk of heart attack, stroke, dementia, T2 diabetes and reducing the wear on your joints.

FlappingMadly · 09/01/2025 11:44

It was my chubby (not even chubby yet - just looked a bit different) fupa that finally got my arse into gear. I googled it and OMG some of them images! I was terrified it would get worse and and become a thing and something I'd have to live with.

FlappingMadly · 09/01/2025 12:11

My furry boots had their annual outing today and massive NSV - they zip up easily. There has been at least a couple of years when they've been zipped half way.

FlappingMadly · 09/01/2025 12:17

@Blondeshavemorefun I know I'm way too late to be of any use, but I sometimes have soup for breakfast when it is cold.

NippyCrab · 09/01/2025 13:25

Wow @Azuresky68 what a difference, you look fabulous!

@MargoLivebetter I had no idea of fupa and I don't want to Google it in case I'm scarred for life 😂 when my friend told me that story it was the first i had heard of it.

@Motnight where do you live? 😂😂 you could make a fortune selling those 5mg, I'll have 2 please 😂😂

@FlappingMadly i love cockers and everything about them, we had 2 when I was young and would love one again. This pup we have will be our last puppy Dalmatian and we will think about a smaller breed, my vet friend has 10 dogs, and mix of cockers springers and collies, she does agility and shows. Crazy woman!
