Crazy we have come this far

Heading to 5mths - that's almost half a year

We have all done so well.

Be proud of ourselves

Yes we have Christmas Day to come but remember that eating a meal and some yummy stuff isn't going to make us all gain the weight back

We have to have some treats or else what is the point in life

Saying we are never going to eat ...... again isn't sustainable

But having one /small portion of something we want is a good thing

We have learnt restraint !!!

To 2025 one and all

@Azuresky68 @Blondeshavemorefun i love edamane beans in stir fry or just eating them, they are high protein.

That's scary flooding 😳

I've always had 3 dogs, we had 4 for a year but one was temporary for a year to help someone. Before the latest pup I had two bitches and knob dog 😂. My old girl died last June, she was an angel and definitely my soul dog, got me through some horrible times. We said we would stick to 2 and the wee chap popped up on my friends page (breeder) because someone cancelled him. He was always my favourite out of that particular litter and I knew his Dad, he stayed with us for a week of socialising and it was his aunt we had for 12 months so I knew he would be lovely natured. So that was that, we are 3 again, flipping nuts i know.

I had a text message from Hira at Oushk and my maintenance appointment has been moved from tomorrow until Friday. So I can go a longer walk tomorrow again.

Azuresky68 · 07/01/2025 19:02

Still snowed in! Paths and roads are lethal. Edamame beans are great and you can get frozen ones too. Look forward to hearing about your maintenance consultation Nippy

Lol that wasn't my road..it was a photo someone sent me nearby but that's what the weather is like where I live in Yorkshire!

owlyboo · 07/01/2025 19:32

@NippyCrab I'm not on meds. My anxiety comes in waves and usually I'm fine for weeks at a time then have a week or so of horrible anxiety and then it leaves again for a while so I've kind of 'coped' without. I'm not against meds at all my son is on meds for his adhd I just haven't felt I needed them as 80% of the time or more I'm usually fine. I always say if it hangs around for any longer I'll go in.

Yeah I know it wasn't ideal. Was miserable all day (like he had been for the last few years) then when the kids went to bed I asked him why he's so
Miserable and he said 'I want to end it' I said why on earth didn't you do it three months ago (we almost split then but he 'changed his mind' he said he wanted to give the kids one last Christmas. No
YOU wanted one last Christmas and you ruined it again! Like I say my sadness isn't through losing him 😂

Beautiful pics!!!!!!

Oh gosh @Blondeshavemorefun that is a lot of water!!

Rain rain rain here too. Folks living further down hill including shops and restaurants were badly flooded a couple years ago and every time I walk the dog there's a few inspecting the river level.

PoemsForTea · 07/01/2025 22:24

No snow here but got stuck on the A303 around Salisbury Plain this morning on way to Southampton & it was very pwetty!!

Morning all. Took myself for a walk before the rain sets in to get some steps in but more importantly for the mental health benefits. It felt lovely being out, on my own with a podcast. It's been weeks.

Hope everyone is doing good!

HellofromJohnCraven · 08/01/2025 12:02

So I'm just over half way through my week without a jab ( had terrible stomach upset for a week). So far, I have not felt hungry. Have stuck to 1000 cals by eating one small meal and one larger one in an 8 hour window (12.30 to 8.30).
Not weighing again til my digestive system is back to normal, expect to have a small gain as I weights when I thought I was over the stomach bug but then cleared out more bodily substances than I ever thought I had. So need it all to settle down a bit.
Wfh today which I find a challenge. But I have put together a 3 week menu to take me up to the end of the month so should be easier to stick to.
If I can do a week without the jab, that will give me more confidence to that I can maintain once the weight has gone. I think I will be OK because I just have to make peace with the truth that is my maintenance cals are prob around 1400 and need to work with that ( and accept that life isn't fair!)

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/01/2025 15:40

Afternoon. Awful nights sleep so went to bed once dd at school

Woke starving again. Day 7 Tom and going to be ravenous !!!

@owlyboo sounds a nice walk

@HellofromJohnCraven sorry been poorly. I would still weigh. Doesn't matter if gain as following week you will lose it

Not sure how many calories extra you get for maintenance but surely 200/400

OP posts:
NippyCrab · 08/01/2025 17:13

Hope you managed a sleep @Blondeshavemorefun maybe being tired also makes you more hungry?

@owlyboo there's nothing better than a walk in nature to reset your head. X

@HellofromJohnCraven sorry you've also been unwell, hope you feel better today.

I had a good walk this afternoon, I did my cleaning this morning, don't have the cleaners anymore 🙃 then headed out. It was fab, no other walkers and at the end of the walk it started to snow which was lovely in the woods.

It's so good to be eating clean again, even though I was eating good over Christmas, the nann breads and other things I wouldn't normally eat really made me sluggish.

DH is in Skye, they got snowed in and stuck so they had to get the boat today and he had a paper bag ready, he's such a wimp! Look at the scenery though, we live in such a beautiful country.

I watched S3 of pilgrimage, BBC iplayer, with 7 celebs in Wales and I thought it's really what we are on right now, a life change where we are finding so much out about ourselves and our lives and finding different ways to cope. I'm not religious at all but it did touch me emotionally, especially Christine McGuinnes. Worth a watch. The scenery was just stunning. Xx

Honestly @NippyCrab your photos are beautiful. I'm envious (in a nice way). It is grey and cold in central London today and doesn't look pretty at all. Glad you are feeling better for clean eating again too.

NippyCrab · 08/01/2025 17:18

@MargoLivebetter he won a competition at work for his photos, they send in pics of their location for the year and the winner at the end of the year gets £100 Amazon voucher. I'm so jealous of him being up North, I want to explore the whole of the UK in the next 10 years.
How are you feeling? Xx

MargoLivebetter · 08/01/2025 17:34

@NippyCrab I'm about 90% better. I did a full day in the office yesterday and was in bed with the lights out by 9.30pm!!! I think it is just post-viral tiredness now. I think it is going to be sunny tomorrow and I can get out at lunchtime, so I'm looking forward to that.

owlyboo · 08/01/2025 18:04

@Blondeshavemorefun I've also had two nights of bad sleep! Horrible! Hope you had a nice nap!

I agree with blondes @JohnCravensNewsround I would just weigh and see the damage. (Or you could be pleasantly suprised! Sorry you've been unwell!

@NippyCrab beautiful pics! And yes a walk does really help!

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/01/2025 18:29

@owlyboo

Yes had a nice nap thanks - glad you had a nice walk and blew out cobwebs

@Blondeshavemorefun it is strange how 12.5 is making you more hungry. I definitely haven't had that! But then my suppression has always been strong I suppose. Hopefully it's not a dodgy pen/got warm or something.

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/01/2025 18:33

Watching the shocking truth about diets and exercise and has a bit about jabs at 7m for a few mins

I know weird. But it's 2 pens

A 10 and the 5 I found under the carrots so taking .3 from the 5 to make 12.5

But the 5 runs out in feb so makes me wonder is it working as well - been in my fridge since aug/sept I'm guessing as that's when I was on 5. Not sure how have an extra one and why I didn't use it
