Crazy we have come this far

Heading to 5mths - that's almost half a year

We have all done so well.

Be proud of ourselves

Yes we have Christmas Day to come but remember that eating a meal and some yummy stuff isn't going to make us all gain the weight back

We have to have some treats or else what is the point in life

Saying we are never going to eat ...... again isn't sustainable

But having one /small portion of something we want is a good thing

We have learnt restraint !!!

To 2025 one and all

@NippyCrab go for the weigh in. I'm sure it won't be too bad!! And if you have had a gain hopefully that will guarantee a nice loss next week!

This

This is why I wi every Friday regardless

OP posts:
NippyCrab · 02/01/2025 21:05

I'll weigh definitely, xx
@owlyboo keep writing it all down here or even a wee journal, even speaking into a voice note will maybe give you relief. Dont hold it all in!. He's a twunt, wants easy parenting or none at all while you carry the heavy load, you're doing amazing! I don't have children (not by choice) so can't talk from experience but you are an amazing wee Mum, fuck Twunty twunt face and the OW. xxx

owlyboo · 02/01/2025 21:11

Ah @NippyCrab that's made me a bit teary. Thank you! He is very good at doing his bit 'financially' so I think that therefore gives him the comfort blanket that he does 'more' than enough. And if that helps him sleep at night (at his no doubt 5* hotel) then so be it. I'd rather be with my kids so more fool him!

Sorry you didn't get the chance for children Flowers

And yes go for that weigh in! Whatever happened with it it's been Christmas so gain, loss or sts they're all more than valid! And I'm sure we all made better choices than Christmas' gone by!

SilverSprings510 · 02/01/2025 21:23

@Blondeshavemorefun yes defo measure tomorrow, I think sometimes you lose inches even if sts so can be quite motivational!
@wohmum defo agree with others will be water retention, lots of xmas food is very salty! Sure by next weigh it it’ll be off and hopefully more 😌

I think I am going to treat myself to a new Apple Watch, going to start couch to 5k Monday (we have a gym in work so will do it mon/weds/fri and maybe a swim on the other days)

weaseleyes · 02/01/2025 21:43

Having gained a pound last week, I’m hoping not to have gained any more tomorrow - though I wouldn’t be that surprised if I did! Hopefully it won’t be any worse than staying the same. I definitely feel out of the easy non-eating zone and will have to get myself back in it. Have just gone up to an actual 5mg for the first time!!! Yes, no more lightweight status for me 😀😵‍💫 Hoping not to die of side effects at such a reckless dose.

I’ve decided to bribe myself for each half stone marker from now on (10.7, 10, 9.7, 9 and goal of possible 8.10) with either some new hedging plants or a sapling. Am more motivated by nature than by clothing, so if I’m going to get something I can’t really afford - which is pretty much anything at the moment! - it’d better be something meaningful.

owlyboo · 02/01/2025 21:52

🤞 for you @weaseleyes

And that sounds like a fab idea. Whatever motivates you!

As soon as the kids go back to school I'm digging in getting back into my walking and also want to start more exercises as well to try to start some sort of toning!

9lbs to goal, a healthy bmi (although would like a few more for a buffer zone and also want to be a comfortable 12 in all clothing so whatever that weight is.)

But can't on the app

But second this @owlyboo

@weaseleyes go you on 5 !!!

Sure won't be another gain Tom

Ah thanks @Blondeshavemorefun ! Ranting to you (and others yesterday) has made me feel so much better! I always try to be the 'bigger' person so even when friends or family talk about it I shut it down as don't see the point as it just fuels hatred and doesn't feel helpful IRL but saying my piece yesterday helped so much! ThanK you Flowers

I also can't like posts as only use the app!

wohmum · 02/01/2025 22:10

Thank you @owlyboo @Blondeshavemorefun @SilverSprings510

I’m going to be quite relaxed tomorrow night - not go overboard but will eat and drink fairly sensibly , with a view to getting back on track from Saturday … back to work and normal routine on Monday !

FlappingMadly · 02/01/2025 22:16

I second or third that @owlyboo write and rant if it makes you feel better for voicing it. Shame on your ex. It must be hard to shoulder the whole parenting load, espec a neuro diverse dc. Chapeau 💪👏👏

owlyboo · 02/01/2025 22:19

Yes @wohmum enjoy but don't go mad sounds like a very sensible idea!

@FlappingMadly thank you 😊 I try to remember that even when we were married and living together I was pretty much a single mum so the main (and positive thing) that's changed is at least I don't have a moaning, miserable man child to also look after 😂

FlappingMadly · 02/01/2025 22:23

Weigh and jab day tomorrow. I will be happy if I'm sts as dh and I have been enjoying in the evenings cheese and port and pudding for NY was a speculoos cheesecake. Plus we've worked our way through a box of chocs. Talking of speculoos we're off to NL tomorrow for a wedding which I don't suppose will support the weightless cause.

weaseleyes · 02/01/2025 22:37

Good luck to us Friday weighers tomorrow! Whatever the number on the scale, I’m sure we’ll cope.

owlyboo · 02/01/2025 22:38

I'm the same @FlappingMadly my diet has been fine, same as usual, the MJ really does stop me overeating as I just get to full quickly but wine on the other hand 😳 but I figured it's Christmas. I've lost 4 stone last year. I managed to STS last week and hoping for the same this week but if I gain, I gain, this is real life. We will have holidays/special occasions and we have to be able to relax a little. And the most important thing is then to be accountable and make changes the following weeks to lose whatever we've gained. To be able to maintain the balance just like 'normal' people do!

Life is for living after all!! Have a lovely time tomorrow!

FlappingMadly · 02/01/2025 23:16

You're so right@owlyboo . Are we not doing this so we can relax at times, knowing we will get back on track.

owlyboo · 02/01/2025 23:19

Yep @FlappingMadly exactly we're all heading towards that healthy bmi and when we get there we then need to manage normal life. And we will! We've all proved that this Christmas. We haven't 'gone mad' we've enjoyed the holidays and will now get back on with normality!

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/01/2025 23:41

@FlappingMadly cheese and port with dh sound fab

OP posts:
wohmum · 03/01/2025 00:10

That’s exactly it @owlyboo and @FlappingMadly …. We have be able to enjoy meals out and special occasions … but know how to get back on track and not lose sight of the long term aim

SilverSprings510 · 03/01/2025 00:12

I ended up doing some measurements and I’ve lost around 18 inches altogether - 10 inches of that is off my hips and waist so definitely losing some belly and arse fat!

WorriedRelative · 03/01/2025 08:32

Phew my stall seems to have ended. After being 88.2kg for over two weeks, I have dropped a whole kilo over night 🤷‍♀️

BMI down to 29.5 even at the shorter height they used at my medical check last year.

So that's good as I thoroughly depressed myself last night looking at health implications for a family history that was recently diagnosed. More important than ever to get to a healthy BMI and weight measurement.

4pink1blue · 03/01/2025 09:05

Weigh day! Didn't weigh last week but very happy with today's weight!
3.5lbs off, total of 5st 1/2 lbs in 20 weeks!

SW 19st
CW 13st 13.3lbs.

Bye bye 14s!!! New pen day and I'm sticking with 7.5 mg for a 3rd time.

Cannot believe how far I've come!!

Morning, weigh in and I'm 11st 12.6lbs so just a wee 1.5 on which I'm delighted at. I've not done much in the way of physical exercise and have eaten whatever DH has wanted for dinners (high cal dinners) I'm going to stick at 3.75 😂 order my pen Monday and I've got my maintenance call on Wednesday with Oushk.

@SilverSprings510 wow that's some loss of inches, cracking results. I think it's important to measure too, when I had my 4 week stall I lost inches. Xx

@FlappingMadly have a fab time at the wedding, I had said to DH i wish we had gotten some chocolate boxes because I have managed to indulge but have little ones and I know when it's enough. I'm tasting and enjoying food and I can leave it. Good luck with weigh in.

@owlyboo you've lost more than 4st, the exh was another dead weight holding you back!

I've not replied to everyone that I want to, cos I need to move my arse and get ready lol, at the coos tail again 😅 xxx

Will re read and reply later xxx
