Crazy we have come this far

Heading to 5mths - that's almost half a year

We have all done so well.

Be proud of ourselves

Yes we have Christmas Day to come but remember that eating a meal and some yummy stuff isn't going to make us all gain the weight back

We have to have some treats or else what is the point in life

Saying we are never going to eat ...... again isn't sustainable

But having one /small portion of something we want is a good thing

We have learnt restraint !!!

To 2025 one and all

I mostly eat 2 meals a day since being on MJ. Sometimes of a weekend I will have breakie but usually I don’t have time. Since being on 10mg, 2 meals is a struggle in the first few days so I tend to have two really small meals. Today for dinner I had one fajita, for example, whereas I used to have 3 🤷🏻‍♀️ from tomorrow/weds I’ll eat a bit more normally so I’ll have a protein shake, something like a chicken wrap or soup for lunch, and then curry or whatever for tea. For me, it’s always been about portion control as I’ve never been a particularly bad eater I would just eat too much and too many snacks

troppibambini6 · 30/12/2024 21:07

@20bloodypounds hmmm you've obviously met my dh 😆 I'm fully expecting a run down on his bowel movements and everything else!

I feel a bit down tonight. I feel like I've over eaten. For some reason today it's not worked as well. Maybe I've just been more hungry or maybe it's hormone related (god knows where my cycle is!)

B- fat free Greek yogurt, mango tiny bit of granola
L-bagel thin ham, tomato, cucumber, onion packet hula hoop puffs
D-whole meal pita grilled chicken breast, salad (ok it was a kebab from the takeaway but a healthy one 😆) no sauces or anything
3 chocolate biscuits
Yogurt with fruit
3 chocolate Brazil's

I can't remember the last time I ate 3 meals and so many snacks not even over Xmas.

On the plus side I actually went to the toilet properly for the first time in ages this morning (sorry tmi) maybe it made way for more food?!

morbidcuriosity · 30/12/2024 21:09

Thanks.. I'm glad I'm on this thread, you are all so friendly and post lots, I enjoy reading everyone's story..

My mounjaro journey is going so well and I feel I can keep it up and reach a normal weight, I've been overweight my whole life really and to now be in a place where I can see me being a healthy weight is amazing..

Onwards and downwards 👇 we all go..

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/12/2024 21:53

Sorry feeling down @troppibambini6 💐

Just ordered my next pen.. 15mg 😳 going up as I have felt fine on 12.5 and 12.5 and 15 are the same price so makes sense to get 15 as can always count down if needed...

I used a £20 off code that was emailed to me. Not sure if it'll work for others but it's WL20EMAIL in case it does (I don't get anything for it just putting it here in case it works and helps!)

With chemist4u you have to send a pic every time. I sent it in underwear this time as wanted to show every lump and bump as in leggings like usual I was worried they might question. I'm sure they won't. Poor person looking at my photo 😂😂 haven't brought for 3 months as last time I did a three pen bundle so look quite different to my last photo!

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/12/2024 22:35

That's a good point about 12.5 and 15 being the same price

Hark at you @owlyboo being on 15 !!!

That's almost 5 times what nympho I mean @NippyCrab is on

🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀

You know I'm joking 😘

Us higher pens are very jealous
And much poorer then you lower doses

I will do 12.5 when arrives and maybe order a 15 from cloud for feb and then I have a foot in the door for maintenance if needed for later

Worried if get under 27/28 and swap that no one will approve me

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 30/12/2024 22:36

And brave @owlyboo in underwear

No way I am doing that

Tho you are much slimmer then me

OP posts:
owlyboo · 30/12/2024 22:42

I still have a few weeks of 12.5 left. (2 left in pen +hopefully bonus dose, jab tomorrow)

Yeah seemed silly to buy 12.5 when it was the same as 15. I haven't been poorly on 12.5 so not worried to go up like I have every other pen. Plus only have 9lbs to healthy weight range.

I think once under 30 bmi it may be harder to move but not impossible. I've stuck the same each time as so far it's not been much more expensive. I like with chemist4u you can do bundles every time to make it cheaper. (I didn't this time as I'm closer to healthy bmi and don't know when I'll want to go down doses)

I'm currently 26.3 bmi so didn't want to mess around moving for 20 odd quid (my pen worked out at 180 with the discount)

Wore my new outfit today for Xmas money spending with the kids. All size 12, felt really nice 😊

owlyboo · 30/12/2024 22:44

@Blondeshavemorefun just wanted to show all my lumps and bumps!! No hiding behind high waisted leggings pulling it all in!!

I'm sure you look great in your undies! (Sounds weird 😂😂)

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/12/2024 22:45

Trust me I don't. I did take a pic in aug as thought needed to - but they allowed clothes on

The bulges of hips tum boobs thighs

Not good 😳😳😳

Sorry you're feeling down @troppibambini6
It was a day out of your life and doesn't matter at all. What you ate sounds yummy and I hope you enjoyed it. What you do next will stop it being a pattern.

20bloodypounds · 30/12/2024 23:56

@Blondeshavemorefun I sometimes look at the 'what did I eat' thread - but only to get some ideas when I feel stuck. It doesn't help me to analyse what people are eating day-to-day. Some are a list of supplements (and I'd prefer to get most of what I need from real and healthy food). Sadly, some read like people with disordered eating - it doesn't help me to try and emulate that - so I only dip in and out, but never follow it.

@troppibambini6 why fat free yogurt? I know it sounds healthier but it has other stuff in it (to make it feel thick and creamy) and maybe full fat 10% greek yogurt would make you less hungry later? Full fat yog with chopped nuts (not sweet granola) and a few freeze dried raspberries... Soup for lunch (chicken and sweetcorn / tomato and lentil / broccoli and cheese). Then your kebab...

troppibambini6 · 31/12/2024 08:43

@20bloodypounds yes I know full fat would be loads better but I can't stand it!
I'm a bit weird with dairy don't eat cheese, cream, butter or any full fat milk or yogurt. I don't like the taste to creamy for me and it upsets my stomach. The granola is home made. Has loads of nuts in and oats and raspberries. But yes you're right it has maple syrup which isn't great plain nuts would be better.

I've no idea what happened yesterday I've never had a day like that!! Oh well onwards and downwards!

WitchDancer · 31/12/2024 09:05

Morning all and a Happy New Year to you all!

I weighed in yesterday and had lost 1lb, which I'm very happy with. My only concern is I seem to be reacting to either the wipes or the injections and have a red spot where I injected myself. Has anyone else had this?

Glittermoonlight · 31/12/2024 09:22

@WitchDancer yes, a few weeks ago I had really red, itchy reaction after jabs, I took antihistamine, put eurax cream on the area. Took a couple of days then cleared up, & weirdly been ok since then when i inject. I changed the location I jabbed slightly, still in my tummy, but I thought I may have done it too close to my belly button, so now I jab a bit further away. Have you gone up a dose?

WitchDancer · 31/12/2024 09:25

@Glittermoonlight interesting it was a one off for you. I'm two doses in on 10, so I don't think it's that and I was a couple of inches away from my belly button. 🤷‍♀️
It's very odd!

Glittermoonlight · 31/12/2024 09:56

@WitchDancer i had it for the 2nd,3rd, & 4th dose of 10mg, now on my 7th dose of 10mg & don’t have it anymore. Yes- I also was a couple of inches away from the belly button, now I just am a bit further away. The tissue by the belly button is denser & with the slightly higher dose it might cause it. Have you tried an antihistamine/eurax cream? I’ve heard of someone else also who had the same on 10mg.

troppibambini6 · 31/12/2024 10:02

@WitchDancer not had a red spot but quite often end up with a bruise. I used to jab in my thigh and the bruising was really bad. Not so bad in stomach but every so often I end yo with bruise.

I have no idea what's going on with my body. Despite my dodgy day yesterday I've lost another 2 lbs so that's 5 this week. Although 2 of that was what I put on over Xmas. Very strange but I will take it!!

WitchDancer · 31/12/2024 10:10

@Glittermoonlight I was jabbing in my thigh but thought I'd change it up a bit and go for my belly, so maybe it's that. I'll have to go back to my thigh and see if that makes a difference. Yes, I've put antihistamine cream on, which is helping.

@troppibambini6 I've had bruising too, which doesn't concern me at all, particularly from the bonus dose insulin needles. Nice one on your loss!

weaseleyes · 31/12/2024 11:58

@Blondeshavemorefun I think your new year's resolution should be to stop comparing yourself with other people and think about how amazingly you've done! You're always saying that you wish you were like other people who have more suppression/don't want chocolate/have a lower starting weight/eat fewer meals/go down more dress sizes/take a lower dose/lose more each week.

Even leaving aside the fact that this is just a few people and lots more people are just like you, I worry that you're always seeing yourself as doing worse somehow. Everyone has their own individual struggles, and you've lost a massive amount of weight, look completely different, and have done so in the face of a really challenging year and as a single parent. You also offer lots of support to everyone else. You've done brilliantly - celebrate your successes! Flowers

Totally agree @weaseleyes! Especially since, @Blondeshavemorefun, you are always so supportive of other posters🙂

lookathatbookcase · 31/12/2024 15:52

@weaseleyes Hear hear - @Blondeshavemorefun you are absolutely the (increasingly slender) backbone to the August starters community, our constant cheerleader. We wouldn't have got to 10 threads without you! I hope you can be proud of what you've given us all, and yourself, and mini-blondes this year.

HellofromJohnCraven · 31/12/2024 16:39

Just checking in! I'm down to 10st 7lb, from 12st 11 when I started. Got a stone to go to reach my target of 9st 7. I've stuck at 7.5mg dose as I get enough dampening of appetite on that. Might ramp up to 10mg if needed to get down to the end weight.
Then I'm going to focus on staying that weight. I have just thrown out all my size 16 trousers and jeans. Got a couple of pairs of 14s but holding back in case I make it to a size 12.

NippyCrab · 31/12/2024 19:24

Hello, I just popped on to wish everyone of you a wonderful New Year and I hope all your wishes and dreams come true in 2025. Health, wealth and happiness to all, thank you for being so supportive and funny the second half on 2024, I couldn't have done this journey without you all.

@Blondeshavemorefun i reiterate everyone's posts above, you go into 2025 a new woman with little Blondes beside you. Xxxx

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/12/2024 21:43

@WitchDancer well done on loss

@weaseleyes I do wish I had more suppression 😛

Just so weird how it works diff for everyone

Mj says it blocks wanting bad food - I don't find that - wish I did 😛

And lower dose would be nice for the cost. 12.5 is costly !!!

But I take you message with knowledge

And @lookathatbookcase and @Motnight

@HellofromJohnCraven well done on loss and that last stone will hopefully be soon

@NippyCrab alas she isn't with me but I'm enjoying the sofa and tv
