Thank for posting @StanleyCup Do you think you need more time to 'reset' your habits, or do you think you might be on a low dose for a long time? (Personally, I am open to either option).

I think your post is a good example of why it's important to use a supplier who will be flexible.

Yes definitely, using a supplies who is flexible has given me the opportunity get back on it when i felt i needed it again.

In terms on long term maintenance - i don’t really want to be on it forever so my plan is to give my body time to being at a lower weight and getting used to eating less. I also need to work on my binge eating habits. I think being Mounjaro can make you feel like you have conquered them but really it’s just the medication. Ive lost a few stones before without it so know i can keep it up and before that i was the same weight for years. But i think that loss of control going cold turkey just made me feel rubbish and i really could not just go back down that hill so quickly.

InfoSecInTheCity · 05/05/2025 06:26

1lb loss this week

Starting weight - 217.5 lbs (BMI - 33)
Current weight - 152.8 lbs (BMI - 23.2)
Total loss - 64.7 lbs

Have now lost 30% of my starting bodyweight and only 12lb to go to hit the ‘ideal’ weight for my height according to the online calculators.

MandarinDentistTiger · 06/05/2025 22:40

@InfoSecInTheCity that's amazing.

I'm up 2lbs on the week. I am bouncing around 3lbs up and down.

I'm injecting today. Keeping a log of everything this week.

sylv165 · 07/05/2025 08:13

Well done @InfoSecInTheCity, your losses are always satisfyingly consistent!

I’m similar @MandarinDentistTiger, I’m a little stuck at the moment. Frustratingly, at 1lb above a normal BMI!! I have ordered a 7.5 pen which I’ll start next week - although I’m a wimp so I’ll probably just jab 6 rather than the full dose - and am hoping that will give me what I need to get the last half stone off. Tbh if I stopped here I’d be happy enough, I’m a comfortable size 10, occasional 8, exercise feels so much easier and I’m generally just happier in my skin. But would rather have more of a buffer for when I eventually stop taking MJ

Ilovegoodison · 07/05/2025 09:38

Just catching up with everyone's progress, as I haven't posted on this thread in ages. It's amazing to see everyone doing so well and the fantastic losses that people are having. I weighed in this morning at 66.6 kg , SW mid Sept was 94.6 kg , so a 28 kg loss. My BMI is now 23 exactly . Looking to lose another 7lbs or so before I start maintaining, which I am finding the most scary part of the whole thing!!! Terrified of coming off MJ and going it alone so I'm fine with the last half a stone going off very slowly ( and losses are very slow now , about 1lb a week on average). . I think I'm going to stay on a maintenance dose for a long time if I can (potentially forever) .
It's also probably only in the last month or so that people have started noticing my weight loss- hardly anything before then even though I had lost nearly 4 stone. Have had loads of comments in the past few weeks all of a sudden which is lovely but also strangely makes me feel quite self conscious. I've not told anyone apart from
one other person ( who recently started MJ) that I'm on WLI, so that may be why I feel a bit uncomfortable when people comment.
Congratulations to everyone on your losses - this drug really is life changing!

doodleschnoodle · 07/05/2025 10:53

I’ve been on maintenance for about six-eight weeks. I’m 6lbs under my original goal weight, 129lbs now, 22BMI. I’m off MJ now so going it alone for time being, but still losing some weight and I don’t really want to go down much further, so I think I need to try work out what a maintenance amount of food looks like. Never thought I’d be saying I don’t want to lose weight! What a strange and wonderful time it has been!

It’s interesting as I have felt hungrier since the MJ left my system, what I imagine normal levels of hunger are, but it’s absolutely manageable and it feels like the fear of being hungry has gone. I notice it, register it and think ‘Oh I’ll get some lunch in an hour’ and then just carry on and don’t really think about it again.

SW: 203lbs
CW: 129lbs

74lbs gone Shock

MandarinDentistTiger · 07/05/2025 11:44

I've only lost 1lb per week at best. Stalling is frustrating so I have ordered 10mg for next time.

I've basically lost 7lbs net since Jan 2025 , that's not a lot for 15 weeks. Hopefully the increase will boost.

I would like to lose 2.5 stone more.

Well done everyone.

sylv165 · 07/05/2025 13:53

I just looked at my stats and my app tells me that my average weekly weight loss is 0.28lbs per week 😂. Oh well, it all adds up eventually!!

20bloodypounds · 07/05/2025 15:17

@sylv165 it's interesting - I'm just into the very top end of BMI, but I'm wearing size 12. I think years of being overweight have resulted in me hating the feeling of tight waitbands, collars, cuffs... I describe it as having a claustrophobic body! It doesn't like being too enclosed. Today I bought a strappy maxi dress for a holiday. It felt so good to wear something loose, but also knowing that I wasn't buying it to hide in.

20bloodypounds · 07/05/2025 15:23

@doodleschnoodle well done - that is incredible. You are where I am aiming to be (weight and BMI). It's a scary thought doing this without MJ but I was on recent holiday without MJ for almost 3 weeks and I also found it OK to notice that I was hungry, but to not have the automatic compusion to overeat. Hopefully that bodes well for the future.

sylv165 · 07/05/2025 18:34

Well done @doodleschnoodleit is nice to hear a positive maintenance story! Long may it continue. I realised that I have a maintenance call with Oushk booked for tomorrow so will be interested to hear more about the options available and what they recommend. Not there yet, but will be good to be prepared

Bumblebeehum · 08/05/2025 09:20

Morning! I’ve been avoiding weighing and avoiding this thread AND the binge-eating has crept back in. I blame the Easter Eggs - they started me on the road to insulin spikes and I’ve really struggled to get my eating under control since. I still haven’t taken a full 5mg dose so I think it’s time to try that.

I got to Overweight but this blip has taken me back into Obese by 3lbs - it’s like I don’t want to be normal/thin 🤷‍♀️

sylv165 · 08/05/2025 10:32

Ah @Bumblebeehum hopefully you can get back on track. Increasing the dose slightly is probably a good call. I know when I start avoiding the scales that I’m in denial about something so I totally understand that feeling!

EBoo80 · 08/05/2025 14:32

@InfoSecInTheCity what are you using to calculate an ‘ideal weight’? I haven’t come across anything convincing and would welcome a recommendation.

@InfoSecInTheCity what are you using to calculate an ‘ideal weight’? I haven’t come across anything convincing and would welcome a recommendation.

A couple of places came up with a similar number, I use this one to calculate TDEE so just went with it, it works out as about BMI 22 so seemed a reasonable target with a bit of wiggle room either side.

sylv165 · 09/05/2025 12:01

Interesting @InfoSecInTheCity . I just tried this and my ideal weight came out as a lot lower than I thought. It is saying that for my height I should be between 7st and 8st 3lbs. I’m currently 9st 3lbs and 1lb away from a normal BMI, and have been aiming for maybe 8st 10lbs or thereabouts. I wonder if when I get there I will find I need to go lower

InfoSecInTheCity · 09/05/2025 12:11

From what I can see the calculators seem to put your ideal as the middle of the health range, I guess that will be to allow for a bit of gain or a bit of loss with holidays, periods of stress etc just natural fluctuations.

I’m now in the healthy range, just over 23 BMI and definitely still have lots of fat on belly and upper arms. I’m focusing on good nutrition and exercise to tone and build the muscles, also trying to do glute exercises because my ass has gone flat as a pancake.

EBoo80 · 09/05/2025 13:28

Yes it does seem to be the middle of the healthy BMI range that they recommend. I think I’m going to stick with healthy BMI and trying to build muscle %: at moment I am a size 10-12 and BMI 24, but without much loose skin. Plus buying a whole new wardrobe again would be a pain!

sylv165 · 09/05/2025 15:01

I am also trying to focus on muscle @EBoo80 . I'm not naturally very muscular and really struggle with that, but in the past it has always been really important for keeping my weight steady.

SybillaB · 10/05/2025 11:22

Hang out the bunting my scales read 13 stone 12lb today! I have been stuck on 14 stone for nearly 6 weeks. My weight loss is so slow but Mounjaro keeps me on track with my food intake so I have faith I will get there eventually.

Itisallgoingtobeok · 10/05/2025 17:11

@SybillaB - Congratulations! Amazing work. I have it another plateau, so am trying to stick with it and be patient.

On a different note a friend took a photo of me today, and it's awful. I am about halfway to goal and I have gone down 2 dress sizes and 3 stone, but I still look, let's be blunt, fat and middle-aged. I am so sad just now. I won't let it hold me back, but that photo really does feel like a kick in the guts.

InfoSecInTheCity · 12/05/2025 06:30

Monday weigh in and 1.5lb loss this week.

Starting weight - 217.5 lbs (BMI 33)
Current weight - 151.3 lbs (BMi 23)
Total loss - 66.2 lbs (30% bodyweight)

GW - 141 lb
10lb left to lose

sylv165 · 12/05/2025 10:03

Well done @SybillaB! And yet another consistent loss for you @InfoSecInTheCity- what is your secret? Do you calorie count religiously?

I am in the same boat as @Itisallgoingtobeok. I seem to have stalled and even going up from 5mg to 6.2 doesn’t seem to be working for me. I have struggled to eat enough on the higher dose so don’t want to go any higher, so I guess it is just a case of being patient. I haven’t really calorie counted since I’ve been on MJ as I haven’t really needed to, but I wonder if I need to start doing that for a few weeks to make sure I am eating what I think I’m eating. I think I’m having around 1000cals per day (doesn’t sound like very much but I am short and anything over 1200 is weight gain territory) but without tracking I guess that is just an estimate. I definitely don’t want to eat any less as I am exercising as much as I can and need to fuel, but maybe a sense check is needed

InfoSecInTheCity · 12/05/2025 10:46

@sylv165
I do calorie count, I log everything food and drink into MyFitnessPal and try to stay within my limit except on rare high days and holidays. I am also very very routine/habit driven so tend to stick to really similar meals and routines day in day out which makes it easier. Ive been at this for 7 months now so have got a decent idea of the trends and patterns, for example I tend to have a bigger loss every 3/4 weeks when my period starts, I have 3 days before that when I want to eat everything in sight, and I can help that a lot by eating boiled eggs or beef jerky which give a big protein boost and are dense so feel filling, I also lose very little or gain during that week before my period.

if I don’t drink 2lts water a day then I won’t lose weight, doesn’t matter how little I eat or how much exercise I do if I don’t have the water the scales go up or stay the same, if I’m having an unexpected stall then it’s generally related to either water intake or lack of sleep/increased stress.

I’ve been going through some sleep issues recently, waking up at 4am every bloody day no matter what time I went to bed or how tired I was. I started having a teaspoon of peanut butter before bed and added Magnesium to my supplements, about a week after starting that routine and I’m back to 6am wakeups.

sylv165 · 12/05/2025 11:25

Thanks @InfoSecInTheCity. I’m exactly the same with my pattern across the month and drinking water. I do drink quite a bit but I wonder if the warmer weather and more exercise means I need to drink even more than usual 🤔. Interestingly my sleep is also terrible at the moment and I am generally exhausted so maybe that plays a part too.
