Today I hit 2 stone down! I'm very pleased and feeling so much fitter and healthier than in September. I need a final push for the last stone now...

sylv165 · 05/02/2025 07:44

Another 2lbs down today, and my weight finally starts with a 9 again - single figures!!!

20bloodypounds · 05/02/2025 13:02

Had visitors and I've not read the thread for a few day, but so delighted to see such great progress @SpottyBumPony @Seldomseenkid and so many others. I think the difference with MJ is that we can keep on going with this. When some bad habit creeps in, and a pound or two goes on, we don't hit the fuck-it button, and find it not too hard to return to smaller portions, better food etc. I've never had that on any other diet, and I've never seen it amongst any other diet/weight-loss threads that I've been on. MJ really is a game changer and a life changer.

@sylv165 After going down to 2.5mg over Christmas/New Year I am edging up the clicks from a 5mg pen, another 5 clicks every week. It's the only way I can do it. Currently at 50 clicks which is 4.17mg.

sylv165 · 05/02/2025 17:33

@20bloodypounds yes I am going to try 4mg next week as this week hasn’t been fun! Glad to see I am not the only lightweight here!

EBoo80 · 06/02/2025 09:18

Am now technically in maintenance, as I’m in a healthy BMI finally, but (with help of the RENPHO scales that I’ve earned so much commission by recommending on here 😁) have also been looking at wider range of measurements, including waist-height and waist-hip ratio as I decide how and what I’ll track once I’m off MJ. (Two pens left to titrate down and will see how I get on.)
I didn’t measure everything when I started but my waist loss has really pleasantly surprised me, and I wish I had done more measurements at start. (Was basically a barrel shape before I started as I have fairly narrow hips).
The only measurement still sitting outside a healthy range is my % body fat, so I’m using that to nudge me to do more strength training and try to build up muscle.

Congratulations on reaching maintenance, i can't wait to get there 🎊 The comment about the scales made me chuckle, how will you spend your millions?!

MandarinDentistTiger · 06/02/2025 19:21

Well done @EBoo80 I love my scales. I think weighing myself more often, seeing teh smaller increments and the level of detail are all very motivating.

SpiderMother · 06/02/2025 23:08

Congratulations @EBoo80

I’ve just done my 23rd injection, which feels crazy. It feels quick but it’s almost 6 months.

this week - 1 pound loss
Total loss - 3 stone 3 pounds
4.7 pounds to goal of 22.5 bmi

l managed ok with the difficult weekend. And my NSV is that I ordered jeans in a size 8 and 10 and the 8s are perfect. My exercise has dropped off in the last 2 weeks for life reasons though so need to get back to that.

20bloodypounds · 07/02/2025 16:55

That is great @SpiderMother What are you plans from there?

mimosa1 · 07/02/2025 17:53

Wow @SpiderMother that's incredible!

I ate a whole pint of Hagen daaz yesterday. I have any of that sort of binging behaviour since pre MJ and even then it wasn't usual for me. I'm not sure why - I really fancied it as had slightly burned my mouth earlier, was eating from the tub and in front of tv and then it was gone! Makes me think - do I need to increase from 2.5ml? Or just be a bit more mindful? I'm going away for half term so won't increase till I get back. Lovely to read all the successes on here

SpiderMother · 07/02/2025 18:43

@20bloodypounds I moved to Ouskh so I could use their maintenance plan. I’m considering moving down to 2.5 (currently 7.5) and staying for a while to get the hang of maintenance eating.

ILoveLeopard245 · 08/02/2025 08:34

Half a pound this wk which I felt a bit scunnered about. But it’s still a loss and takes my loss to 4 stone so it all adds up.
last week of 7.5 bonus dose and I’ve a 10 in the fridge for next week.
still got about 2.5 stone to go so will be here for a while yet

jupiterhigh · 08/02/2025 08:55

Morning all, week 21 for me. Lost 2lb this week, taking me up to 4st 5lb. I am close to getting into the 12 stone bracket now!
I have switched providers this week to Oushk, thinking ahead for maintenance.

FOUR STONE! That is incredible, come on..! You're going to have weeks where you only lose a small amount, it's amazing to lose consistently every week full stop.

Well done - you must feel hugely different with a four stone loss!

I lost 1/4 pounds the week before, I didn't count it. I was disappointed, which I knew was unreasonable but still Grin

ILoveLeopard245 · 08/02/2025 10:03

@85reasons yeah you are right, I’m really happy overall- I feel so much better in myself and feel I can actually get around without feeling like a geriatric! I’d a few weeks plateau which was annoying but it is steadily going down and that’s the main thing!

InfoSecInTheCity · 08/02/2025 10:33

I think k like a few of you I'm starting to feel like weight loss is slowwwwwwwww. It's actually not, and logically I know I'm still consistently losing at the same kind of rate but it just feels slow at the moment.

I am very very close to being in the 11s on the scale. I am very very close to being in the healthy BMI range, I am very very close to being properly in size 12 clothes. I think being so close but not actually at theses things make the journey to get there feel longer, it's like when you can't sleep and morning feels elusive, like the longest night to ever exist.

Anyway that's my deep thinking done for the day, I have been manically busy at work for weeks and I need a weekend of not thinking to give my brain time to recover.

mimosa1 · 08/02/2025 14:28

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone who used a syringe to get a bonus dose can help me?

I tried for the first time yesterday and had lots of air bubbles in the syringe under the medication. I was worried about giving myself some sort of air embolism (is that even possible??) so ended up chucking it and I'm annoyed at the waste.

I have another 19 syringes and the hard twist doesn't seem to be working so I'd be grateful for any tips. Thanks and have a lovely weekend.

@mimosa1 I find when that happens if you give it a tap with your fingers the bubbles rise to the top and you can then easily push them out before you squirt too much of the actual dose along with it.

Seldomseenkid · 09/02/2025 08:06

Farewell Mounjaro! I did my last injection last week and so here is my final weigh in. 2 pounds off, which takes me to a very even 3 stone loss in total!

I feel pretty good! Excited to see how this goes and feeling confident. I’ve worked out my calories for further weight loss, which will be just a 1 pound loss a month for 4 months and then I’ll be in a healthy BMI. I’ve created some test days on Nutracheck with meals for the day added in, so I know what my meals should look like. I’m also just about to mark where I am in my cycle on my calendar for the next few months as I’ve always been ravenous before my period. If I know when to expect that feeling I can make a plan for it and not throw the towel in!

I’m always going to figure out how I can get to the gym and do more walking. Starting small on those so I don’t feel I’ve failed if I set myself a target I can’t achieve.

I’ll still be reading the thread, and I’ll pop in and let you know how it’s going!

20bloodypounds · 09/02/2025 13:38

Fantastic @Seldomseenkid I know that some people might be on WLI for ever, but also interesting to see how others are planning to use it to achieve their goal, then put their effort into maintaining and living a better lifestyle than they may have done before.

If you ever did find your weight creeping up would you consider using MJ again? Or go hard with another weight loss approach? Or do you think that your 3 stone loss is enough of a motivator to keep you within an acceptable range?

These are questions that are at the forefront of my own mind as the end of my current journey gets closer. I admit to feeling a bit anxious about going it alone so I might keep a pen or two as spares, just in case. But that's an expensive insurance policy!

Morning all, delighted to see so many of you approaching maintenance (and leaving us behind - don't be strangers!!)

I have a standard 2lb loss this week (I do love how predictable it is), taking me to 51lbs and I begin with a 13 😊

SW 245
CW 194 (21% weight loss)
GW 148

I'm lighter than I've ever been on MFP, and I've been on that app for ever!

lespameo · 10/02/2025 11:10

I took shot 21 yesterday and seem to have hit a plato this past week or two. Definitely haven't been drinking enough water so suspect this might have something to do with it, but also I don't have much left to lose now! Currently 10st 13, bmi 24.7 and my initial target was 11 stone (but then revised it to 10st 7 to allow for some wriggle room). It's not a bad position to be in at all and I'm delighted to be back to what I weighed 6 years ago! But considering calling it quits now.

I have 2 x 5mg pens left unopened in the fridge and not sure what to do with them. Save them for if I put some weight back on? (They don't expire until nov 25) or use them now as maintenance doses... conscious that option 1 would be naughty as thats not the prescribed method!

decisions decisions.
