How fabulous! W9D2 here and I’m far too frightened to get on the scales. Spent most of yesterday drinking Rose wine and playing with my neighbour’s new litter of puppies. Was absolute heaven. Lord knows how I managed to jab myself safely when walking in a straight line was an effort 😂

A day of puppies and rose wine sounds like bliss! 🍷🥰

This month is by far the most difficult to navigate food/drink/ social events wise for everyone. If we can make it through this month then any other month will be a breeze! In some ways I’m glad December happened during my MJ journey as MJ has kept me on track and made me indulge less. I have enjoyed Xmas just as much and I feel better for eating and drinking less for sure . I’m going into January not upset about my weight and genuinely annoyed the gym is closed tomorrow as the weather is currently high winds and torrential rain which makes getting my run in tomorrow tricky! Who am I haha

Talking of swimming costumes, bikinis and skinny dipping I have just had a swim in a hotel where we spent the night. My tankini top was nowhere near as hugging as it used to be 😂. Think I need a smaller one. Another Christmas miracle 🥂

Mounjaropen · 31/12/2024 11:04

Well friends in my phone.. a Christmas miracle has occurred. I am, despite having done zero exercise since the 23rd Dec and having existed on a diet almost exclusively of champagne, wine and Cadbury’s at 12st6.2lbs. 🥳

Obviously I know I have lost muscle mass but I’ll tackle that next week!

Oooh I did an end of the year weigh in and I'm 18st 3lbs and a BMI of 40.1. That's 4 pounds off since Christmas and puts me a pound away from 1.5 stone lost in total, plus I think that pound will see me down to 'just obese'.
Big thanks for my gorgeous, germy niece for giving me her cold, which has put me off food even more than MJ does!

TeenLifeMum · 31/12/2024 11:06

I’ve dropped the 1lb Christmas gain… yesterday’s diet was a chicken sandwich, a Terry’s chocolate orange and a gin and lemonade 😬 next step is to work on nutrients.

4lbs off over Xmas is awesome!

Love this title! Thanks. Makes me feel so positive about the new year's with MJ

Pumpkinforever · 31/12/2024 12:03

So right @Ralala if we can survive the past couple of weeks with little to no gain, and some loses, it will make January an absolute breeze.

Big shout out for all the November starters for all the weight loss and non-scale victories! Keep jabbing into 2025 🍾🥂🎉

End of year check in!

W10 D4
SW: 108.9kg (113.35kg on 30/09 when starting cal counting)
CW: 94.25kg
GW: 73kg

Oh my gosh!!

So before Xmas I realised my ambition to have lost 3st by today wasn’t going to happen (started calorie counting 30/09 and MJ on 25/10). A bit ambitious to begin with and with the holidays I thought I needed to be more realistic.

I did eat a lot more than usual (since MJ) on Xmas day and Boxing Day, but I’ve been back consistent since AND I’ve been upping my steps by about 5000 a day with taking the dog out for longer hikes.

However I have been feeling a bit sore in my lower abdomen so ate some prune purée last night and took senna.

I got on the scales this morning resigned to missing my target….

Guess who hit her target ON THE NOSE!
Exactly 19.05kg (3 stone) lost in total. And I’m in the next stone down bracket too!

I’m actually chuffed. The extra calories and steps must have given my metabolism that extra kick it needed!

Roll on 2025! I rejoined the weightlifting gym I used to go to yesterday and have committed to the 75 Medium challenge. My next goal is to be at my pre-covid weight by the end of the challenge - another 11kg to go to that one!

Happy New Year everyone!

Two citrus fruits there. Lots of vitamin c AND two of your five a day 😂

No regrets 😂 probably not ideal as a sustainable diet plan though.

@TeenLifeMum well done

IHateMozzies · 31/12/2024 20:00

Loving reading about all these losses! I’ve put on nearly 4lb! I’ve had very little suppression the last 2 weeks and I can’t resist Quality Street!

I got my FitBit stats email through today and I’ve done 30k less steps than last week!

Ordered my next pen with IQ doc today for another 5mg pen. I’m hoping to get the 50 days since ordering discount with MedExpress after the 14th for my 7.5 pen.

Chewii · 01/01/2025 22:38

Started at the begining of November so have just done first dose of 7.5. feeling very giddy when I stand up. Had this a bit before but not so badly. Do other people get this?
