I put on .2 of a pound over Xmas, which I’m taking as a win as it could have been a lot worse. I was wanting to get right back to it, but I’ve still got some meals booked in for this week and I’m going away at the weekend. So I’m going to be good where I can around all that, and then properly be back on it next week. Will also be a new pen for me next week.

Edited

I’d definitely take that as a win!

Keep going! 18lbs off is wonderful!

I’m terrible on diets, very impatient. I eat well for a day and wonder why I’m not skinny yet. I’m pleasantly surprised I’ve not piled on many pounds this week. Appetite suppression is in full swing so I’ll make the most of that today.

I think I'm going to switch to the cheapest provider without discount codes for my next pen. There's a list at https://monj.co.uk/mounjaro-price-list-non-discounted/ . I can't be bothered with faffing around hoping people will take my referral code and price match. I prefer straightforward pricing.

Thanks will look into this later

No I swapped to MedExpress for my 2nd pen and it was approved 3 hours after uploading my photos. Very easy to do.

My code is on the referral thread if you would like £40 off your first order 😜

Fab thanks is that the thread just posted? Will look tonight once we’ve finished our third and final family Christmas!

Week 9 . Took 3.75 on Saturday. Eggy burps, bubbly tummy and zero appetite . As much as I love how this has helped me with getting 10kg off, I’m looking forward to this final month as the side effects proper kick my ass for 3 days a week

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 30/12/2024 13:57

Checking in - stayed the same for the last few days (well, went up a bit on Boxing Day and then dropped back). Hoping for a bit of movement before jabbing again on Friday. W7D4.

Ordering through Asda is extremely expensive is it awkward to change provider?

Oushk Pharmacy are doing a £99 offer for new customers, I'm with them and been paying 129 a month, It was easy, usual questions and evidence of prescription, they ask that they can call if they need to and notify your GP if you opt to let them. I find them super helpful if I have a query also which is nice.

It’s also really interesting when you think of the endocrine system as a whole…
I think mine personally doesn’t work without the aid of artificial hormones.

I have been on Thyroxine for 20 + years, HRT for a couple of years and now Tirzepatide which mimics the GLP-1 and GIP hormones.
Interesting! 🤔

I think I am exactly the same on the hormone front. Overweight as a child despite eating the same and being as active as my siblings, Lipodema on my legs which will not shift, Graves disease (Hyperthyroid, allthough I don't lose any weight when i have a flare up) and Adenemyosis. I'm all round wonky on the Hormone front which is why I'm convinced MJ isn't working for me results wise. I'm sticking with it for the rest of my pen though as having no food noise is worth it for me at least.

@Mounjaropen My doctors will not prescribe testosterone to compliment the HRT which is annoying.

I think we all forget everyone has their own insecurities. Unless you are planning on staying at Pikes in Ibiza no one is looking or judging. Life is short, wear all the bikinis ❤️

I stayed at Pikes in 2023 for the weekend of their closing party it was such a great weekend, and I doubt anyone actually gave two hoots about what I looked like, but I was super anxious and ashamed, I never was seen without a cover up by the pool 😊

You're right. I don't care what anyone else does but my body isn't one I want to do anything but hide... this time next year though I'm hitting the beach in a bikini!

lovealongbath · 30/12/2024 15:56

Bikini??? Come on, let’s go skinny dipping 😂

That is significantly cheaper I guess I’m concerned it will be awkward with already being on 7.5. I’m still morbidly obese so wouldn’t have an issue for the eligibility side

DarkForces · 30/12/2024 18:09

@PandasMum it should be easy to switch. You just need to send evidence of your previous dose

Is that's for new.customers starting on 2.5mg?

Any one switched a few times ? E.g. to go with cheapest provider ?

Clarabell77 · 30/12/2024 18:48

Has anyone stuck with 2.5 for the 3rd pen? I have good suppression, side effects only if I have a bigger meal/more than I should, so a bit of stomach discomfort and indigestion. If I am still losing on the 2.5 I’d rather just stick with it, has this been the case for anyone on here and is it still going okay?

Ralala · 30/12/2024 18:49

I have just stayed with med express. I did the £40 discount code on my first own, on my second pen (5mg) I paid full price but then got almost £50 credit back as they did the double price match at the time . So my third pen (5mg) I got the £50 off. Also I’m only injecting 3.75mg from the 5mg pen so I’m getting 5 weeks instead of 4 weeks. I have decided this is my last and final pen though. What will be will be after then next 5 weeks now!

How was the process of getting the price match ? Am I right in saying they're not doing the double now ?

How much weight have you lost.? I lost lots with my.first one, hardly anything on second but feel.rubbish. not a lot of suppression but did 2 weeks of 3.75 as worried about side effects of 5. Done first week of 5 and nothing . No suppression or anything. Part of me wants to stop, another part says I've not really given it a chance. Only on second pen.

I am still on 2.5 pen and not ordering third pen for another week or so but I am planning on getting 2.5 if things stay the way they currently are. I have lost in the past couple of days after Christmas so I am still losing. I am getting reasonable suppression but I am also aware that I am making conscious decisions about food choices.
I am on this for a good year, maybe longer , and I am using this time to retrain my brain. My mindset has always been to stay on 2.5 for as long as possible.

Also, because of the constipation I have suffered, it worries me going stronger when I am losing on 2.5.

I remembered to update my TDEE with new weight today and it’s dropped by approx 100 calories, made me think that for those who are calorie counting it might be helpful to reevaluate so you know what current targets are to achieve a loss.
I’m dreading the next few days, have legitimately dodged drinking with friends since started MJ as designated driver, however we are hosting tomorrow night so will be more tricky, 8 years ago I got through a NYE on half a glass as didn’t want to share my early pregnancy with DS3 so 🤞will manage again..
then we are off for a weekend away, 3meals a day out and not in a country known for its light salads! Will do what I can…

Oh yikes. I’ll need to look into that but 1200 already feels low some days! Maybe next week!

I have lost just over 10kg. I have 5kg to go. I did 4 weeks on 2.5 and then moved to 5. I did one week on 5 and was very unwell and since then have only been able to tolerate 3.75. With 3.75 I have 3 days of feeling rubbish then 4 days feeling great. I can’t do full suppression so I’m happy with it taking the edge off things and thinking long term it will help me adjust once I stop fully.
