Has anyone used shemed for mounjaro? It seems a good price but you are locked in for 12 months if approved.
Thanks

In the video calinda says it’s so easy to contact shemed. Well, it would be as she works in their office..

I would say though to anyone reading here that my weight loss has been more than I anticipated and not necessarily typical. I think having a pretty high starting BMI (50) is part of it, and I seem to be particular responsive to the medication. I had noticeable effects from day 1, which definitely isn't typical.

So just almost exactly 6 months, I started at the beginning of July. I've lost 6st 3lbs ish, some fairly large losses each week at the start which has settled down to a more consistent but regular loss each week. I still have another 5stone at least to lose but I'm on the downward slope now.

Had some side effects on week 6 to 7 on 5mg and went slower up to 7.5mg than the usual steps. I counted clicks on my first 7.5mg pen to move up to the full 7.5 in increments. Since then I've stuck with 7.5mg and will do until I feel it's no longer working. I've had one other instance of gastric issues, but easily sorted with OTC treatment and delaying my next injection for a couple of days until I felt better.

Wow thank you that's great to hear and amazing losses! I've officially got a similar amount to be normal bmi but I'd be "happy" on overweight. My first goal of not morbidly obese is some way away.

I'm in awe of your first 6stone loss!!!!

BabaGanouch · 02/01/2025 19:03

Yes Mounjaro is great. She med, not so much.

Thanks yes I'm similar Bmi - I am not expecting it to be as fast for me but any loss will be great. You must be so pleased 😊

Yes. My BMI last January was 50.

A year later, I've lost 6st 4lb and my BMI is 34.

I started losing weight right from the start, and had minimal side-effects.

I've been on 15mg MJ for a while, and I'll stay on it until I reach a healthy weight.

Never heard of them but I would not use a pharmacy that charges for a 'testing kit' and then locked you in for a year.

When attempting to warn users about other aspects of shemed , I have been bullied on here

SilenceInside · 02/01/2025 19:06

Thanks @FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden it seems a bit like a dream tbh, so glad I decided to take the plunge. I haven't been "just" overweight for at least 15 years I think, so it will be a very meaningful milestone when I get there.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 02/01/2025 19:08

Oh I can so imagine! My first goal is to ditch the "morbid" but I think even that's over 5 stone away and I'm aware that could take a year.

I'm just so hopeful that finally something will work!

I was very pleased with my losses. However I did my due diligence so no wonder. I also read warnings without attacking others.I also didn’t try to shut them down.

You'll get there. MJ really works.
It's changed my life.
I've still got 4st to lose, but I'll get there.

I think if we just ignore the harassing poster/posts and stop engaging at least the thread can continue as a support thread. I don't think they have insight into -how they are coming across.

Maybe you could start a new support thread something like January Shemed starters or something?

Lotusbug · 02/01/2025 19:13

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne @SilenceInside your losses are amazing! I hope I can be in a similar position in a years time.

@FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden I’m also a similar BMI- hopefully we’ll be starting around the same time blood test results pending 😊

I noticed more chat about this on reddit in case anyone is interested

Ah yes I've seen that. A separate Shemed starting thread might be redundant quickly but I have just started it! Thankyou :)

That's an interesting sub.
They don't seem very keen on SheMed.

It is irrelevant how I come across . The only relevance is the factual content of the fake reviews etc

By George you’ve got it.

LilacMoose · 02/01/2025 19:28

I was interested in shemed but worried about the 12 month subscription so went elsewhere, as I'm hoping to reach a healthy BMI before then. Definitely interested in hearing other's experiences and what the trial results look like in the future. Good luck all!

It's not irrelevant when you're now accusing people of bullying lol

SilenceInside · 02/01/2025 19:29

I'll be interested to read how it goes for people on that thread @FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden. It's always really interesting to me to read about different people's experiences with WLI and different pharmacies.
