Has anyone used shemed for mounjaro? It seems a good price but you are locked in for 12 months if approved.
Thanks

I agree. I should be able to post a warning without being criticized.

You've posted more than "a warning". I've seen no evidence to support your very repetitive claims but you seem intent on harassing this poster who has done their due diligence and is happy with their choice.

I have no interest in Shemed; I use other suppliers.

Good luck to @FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden , after a wait to start and a technical hiccup, I hope this is the beginning of a positive journey on MJ!

SilenceInside · 02/01/2025 18:36

@FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden I'd be interested to know what detail they give you about the blood test results. I had a blood test via my GP a couple of months into taking Mounjaro, for a pre-existing medication review. It was useful to have that as an almost base line position, although fortunately for me all the results were well within the normal ranges. Good to know that I wasn't at all near being pre-diabetic. I do wonder if even 8 weeks of being on Mounjaro had already affected that though.

And yet again you try to shut me down and accuse me of harassment. I’ll add the proof and others who don’t have an agenda on social media can make up their own mind why you would want to shut me down.
btw I am well aware of the definition of harassment, if you think you are scaring me

Orangesandlemons77 · 02/01/2025 18:39

I had a routine blood test around 8 weeks in with the GP and noticed lower cholesterol, HB1AC and blood pressure.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 02/01/2025 18:39

Not trying to scare you just trying to get you to stop! Surely you've had your say - just leave us alone fgs.

Oh that's fab!
I'm hoping I've not slipped into diabetic and it will hopefully be good to see the numbers come down. I enrolled around the 20th December so I'm so keen to get started.

SilenceInside · 02/01/2025 18:41

My blood pressure has reduced from high to optimal, although I am on BP medication which was the reason for the review. If my BP goes any lower I think I will need to request another review and consider reducing the dosage. Low blood pressure is a new thing for me, never had such low BP since I've been treated for high BP!

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 02/01/2025 18:42

That's fantastic silence! I have a blood pressure machine as mine is hihh at the GP but just raised at home. I think having the extra wide cuff helps 😳. I'd like to come down into normal though.

I was addressing that to the poster who falsely accused me of harrassment.
Please follow the forum rules. It’s presumptions to think you own the thread. If you don’t want to hear the warnings, scroll on.

We have all read your points and I don't feel llike we need to respond. We heard you and we have still made our choice.
Instead of birating those that have made the choice to sign up go post on their insta or tiktok, they are the only ones who can address your 'concerns'

People suffer with health anxieties as it is, and clearly asking questions and researching has been important to those of us commenting. So please give it a rest, as @SilenceInside has stated it would be more important to make your own post addressing your concerns.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 02/01/2025 18:44

Fgs what do you get off on here? Do you plop all over mumsnet and enjoy winding people up?

You've done your warnings great now go harass someone else.

Hopefully your BP will respond too. When I started I could barely get the cuff round my arm on my home machine. Now it's super easy and I was actually wondering if/when I need to get a smaller cuff.

I'm the same, only on 4mg candesartan, might need to arrange a chat with the GP if it continues.

No need for anyone to be unpleasant.
I am making my own posts.
We all have anxiety, it doesn’t mean the truth shouldn’t be told.

I think if we just ignore the harassing poster/posts and stop engaging at least the thread can continue as a support thread. I don't think they have insight into -how they are coming across.

Even NHS blood tests are pretty quick, so hopefully a private pharmacy will have a decent turn around and you will be approved soon.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 02/01/2025 18:50

Thanks Silence. It says 2-3 working days so hopefully so! I'd really like to start next Friday.

It sounds like MJ is going really well fo you. How long have you been on it? Have you had many side effects?

I think that poster might have achieved the opposite of their aims, by givng a post about Shemed more traction! (Again, I'm not a customer, I have been using Pharmulous and Cloud and am happy with their service and stance on maintenance for when I get there.)

So just almost exactly 6 months, I started at the beginning of July. I've lost 6st 3lbs ish, some fairly large losses each week at the start which has settled down to a more consistent but regular loss each week. I still have another 5stone at least to lose but I'm on the downward slope now.

Had some side effects on week 6 to 7 on 5mg and went slower up to 7.5mg than the usual steps. I counted clicks on my first 7.5mg pen to move up to the full 7.5 in increments. Since then I've stuck with 7.5mg and will do until I feel it's no longer working. I've had one other instance of gastric issues, but easily sorted with OTC treatment and delaying my next injection for a couple of days until I felt better.
