Has anyone used shemed for mounjaro? It seems a good price but you are locked in for 12 months if approved.
Thanks

Yes if you're currently on MJ stay with who you're with. That's a fab price! How have you got credits. Do you post online?

You used to get a free pen with 3 referral credits, now it is 60% off so at the higher doses that makes quite a difference. Yes, I just share it on here, in the correct section

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 29/12/2024 19:24

Yay great to know that works. I may be there in a years time!

Orangesandlemons77 · 29/12/2024 19:26

No problem, or there are other discounts here, (I think the one for joining Voy with a referral code is 45% off)

@FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden
Did you go for it?
I'm concerned as my friend stated on mounjaro and after two months it made her sick so she had to stop... What happens if this is the case and you are still in the contract? Be interested to know if they discussed this potential issue with you?

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 30/12/2024 09:53

Yep I've got the blood test but can't do it til the 2nd due to post.

I was told if you need to stop due to it not working for you you'd have a discussion with a clinician (they offer support for side effects) but it would be fine.

It will work out so much cheaper expecially on the higher doses though so I'm really hoping to battle through if I can.

I've since seen on Facebook they are saying you can stop at any point with 28 days notice so I wonder if they've changed their mind about tying you in for a year. (attached photos) I get they need people with a years data for the trial.

I am pretty sure they weren't publically saying this originally.

I have signed up and waiting for my blood test to arrive. I would be interested in keeping up with your progress and experience!

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 31/12/2024 14:28

Oh fab I'd love to have others going through the same time as me! I'm doing the blood test on the 2nd :)

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 31/12/2024 14:46

I think that all the online pharmacies are lowering their prices gradually, and thinking about setting up maintenance plans.

I really hope this happens as only a few are offering maintenance- I'm a long way off needing it but hopefully the time will come.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 31/12/2024 15:53

That would be fab. If I could do a year at 99 and not have to hike up suddenly at the end that would be great!

Most places charge quite a lot for 10/15 it seems and I'd struggle to maintain that 😬.

I've asked Alessandro (the pharmacist at Medino) and he said that they're currently discussing maintenance plans.
I really do think that most of the pharmacies are going to offer them.

Im hoping mine will arrive on the 2nd, fingers crossed! Good luck with your journey!

Hi all, I’ve also just joined Shemed. I’ve been indecisive for the last two weeks. I’ve just bitten the bullet. It’s a whole new scary world of weight loss out there and I like that this is structured. I have massive reservations but I need to do something for myself. Would love to see how others are getting on. Fingers crossed 🤞 I pass the blood test and can start a positive journey.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 31/12/2024 19:20

Yay it's nice there will be a few of us. And good to share experiences :)

Kebabo · 31/12/2024 22:52

I am waiting for my blood test to arrive. Hopefully SheMed will work as they describe it. I will feel more confident in the company once I have done the bloods and have my first pen.

TheGladLilacDuck · 01/01/2025 11:46

I've just signed up too, I've been considering starting mounjaro for a while now but always been concerned about the price!

I like the idea of the check ins and I'm.not concerned about being 'locked in' for 12 months as I need to loose a lot of weight.

Please keep us updated on your experience! Hopefully we can help people trying to decide going forward by sharing our experience, positive or negative!

xxCatCrazyxx · 01/01/2025 16:11

Looking forward to seeing how everyone is doing. I think the weekly check- in will keep me accountable. Looks like they’ve just extended the programme for new joiners to 31st Jan, so maybe they’re not quite up to the 1k women needed just yet.

BabaGanouch · 01/01/2025 18:37

I mean your private prescription/ order from your other supplier

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 01/01/2025 18:40

I'm doing the blood test in the morning finally!!! ( They weren't running over xmas/new year)

I've been so keen to get going!

Will feedback how it goes. You scan the pack and get a live call I think - it looks quite clever.

Shmallow · 01/01/2025 18:41

I'm waiting for the blood test too. The company are part of emed who run our health insurance online GP etc, so I'm confident in that. A year suits me as it means I'm giving it a really good go, but I also know I can cancel or switch if the side effects are too much.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 02/01/2025 08:02

So not a good start.

The app won't log in this morning....

You have to be fasted for the blood test so I'm in limbo. And phones don't answer til 9( I thought they were 24/7/)

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 02/01/2025 09:16

Hmm not answering phone either. On hold for 10mins so far....

I wish I'd had money for a better one now! Hopefully it's just because it's after NY

LightsAndBaubles · 02/01/2025 09:39

Let me know how it goes. I'm planning to test today too. I expect a lot of people are!!!
