Has anyone used shemed for mounjaro? It seems a good price but you are locked in for 12 months if approved.
Thanks

They've acknowledged the problem and said try later.

Thing is you have to have not eaten for 6 hours for the blood test.

So not sure whether to eat now and try again at 4 or hang on a bit longer.

This was supposed to be a quick thing done at 8am and get on with my day 😬

LightsAndBaubles · 02/01/2025 10:03

I think I'm going to leave it until next week when things calm down!

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 02/01/2025 12:52

So the app is still not working. This is so frustrating as I'm all out of sorts now after waiting for so long for them to be open. I wanted to do this before Xmas!

Also I can not eat until 4 but I do like a cup of tea and I just want to know...

Whkle writing this I did get a call back. It was a young lady who didn't know why it wasn't working and thought it should be fixed and "maybe try Monday".... So not super well informed. Very friendly though.

kittykarate · 02/01/2025 13:01

I managed to get my blood test done this morning, but it was at 6am. I still had a 20 minute wait for an operator. I imagine they are struggling to meet the demand caused by them not really doing any blood tests since Christmas.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 02/01/2025 13:06

Yes I imagine that's it. Well done getting it done early.

I really ought to leave it til Monday now but after waiting all this time I just want it done now!

xxCatCrazyxx · 02/01/2025 13:09

Oh dear, hopefully just teething problems as it’s all new?! I would expect the staff to have an idea of what’s going on though. Don’t think I’ll get the blood test until next week now. I really want to get it done before I change my mind… keep us updated!

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 02/01/2025 13:11

I don't think it's new as it's an extension of eMed. But where they didn't let you test between 20th and the 2nd it's probably back logged. It would be helpful if they could say that though.

I'm now imagining one person doing all the 20min calls themselves...

kittykarate · 02/01/2025 13:15

I was so anxious about doing the blood test (not great with needles etc) that I woke up ridiculously early and had chance to chug my pint of water and wait 30 minutes before the morning rush.

The blood test process did take approximately 30 minutes connected to the call center (taking photographs of passport, weigh in, then unpacking/verifying the kit, then doing the actual test). My blood was reluctant to leave, so it took the full 5 minutes to get enough. Then it was how to package it up.

All I can say is once you do get through to them, they were very friendly, very good at giving instructions, and the actual process of getting the blood was pretty painless.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 02/01/2025 15:19

Thanks Kitty that's really reassuring and helpful to know. Frustratingly I was awake early but had planned to have my husband help and he was asleep!!

The actual app seems to be opening now finally on my phone so hoping to do it at 4 and post before 5!

I am so not used to not eating. Or more importantly not drinking tea.

I've "lost" much of today as I haven't been able to get on with other things easily. Oops.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 02/01/2025 16:33

Wahooo. I can eat and drink a cup of tea now.

I wanted my husband with me as I'm not always good with blood tests but actually the person on the app talks you through and is brilliant really. Literally a script and no faffing but it works really well. It took about 30mins.

I did get an email from them apologising about their app and also they did return my phone call so I'm less hangry than I was.

I'm keeping fingers and toes crossed now there's now problems with the blood sample or some reason not to do the trial after all this!

The blood test itself is very clever. I didn't feel. It and it took a couple of minutes to start dripping, so much so I thought maybe I'd done it wrong!

The kit has everything in it. So it's a good product. Warming up the arm first is genius. I struggled a bit clicking the heat thing and with the tube but I'm generally quite week!

Good luck to the rest of you doing this!

Lotusbug · 02/01/2025 16:46

I did my blood test today too- surprisingly painless process! Enjoyed the heat pack once I managed to actually bend the flipping metal thing inside 😂 I waited about 8 minutes to be connected to a person so wasn’t too bad. The biggest shock was my post Christmas weigh in 🤣😳

I did give you all the evidence to warn you about this company but you chose to not look a it.
Caveat Emptor

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 02/01/2025 17:10

I'm okay with it. I was anxious this morning as I've built it up so much in my head and do get anxious but it was fixed within the day and they've put on extra staff for tomorrow.

From reading others experience I've not read anyone else with a problem with it before today and I am in contact now with a few people a few weeks ahead. I think today overloaded their system. The actual experience once connected was very good.

Yes a real life pharmacy where I could literally pick it up would be easier but I am also broke so the discount is (currently) still worth it!

You said this » There is support like with some of the higher charging apps and they are happy to help with side effects and discuss side effects. There's clinicians you can talk to if you want to.«

You couldn’t possibly know if this was true.
You believed their hype and the shills they use.

Mounjaro is great however , when used properly, and I wish you luck

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 02/01/2025 17:21

I have had several emails and a phone call from them as well as a reply to my Facebook message! So they are available it's just their app went down which yes they should have predicted.

Thankyou for your good wishes. I'm looking forwards to hopefully starting next week!

SilenceInside · 02/01/2025 17:26

I don't think "warnings" are necessary about this company. There is nothing dodgy about what they are doing, and having frequented this discussion board for many months, nearly all pharmacies seem to have had their poor customer service moments.

It's a deal that people have entered into knowingly, and certainly @FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden has done plenty of communication and checking of Ts&Cs before signing up. You get the medication at a decent permanent discount, regardless of dose. In return, you need to jump through their minor hoops regarding blood tests and video calls. If it had been around 6 months ago I might have considered it for the consistent price, and because the results of the blood tests would be interesting to see.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 02/01/2025 17:58

Thankyou.

Yes I'm also keen on the blood test result. I'm often worried my m. Obesity is harming me and it will be hopefully reassuring to see the numbers improve.

It feels v much like Zoe seemed when they got going.

xxCatCrazyxx · 02/01/2025 18:07

@FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden glad you managed to get the test done today in the end. From what I’ve read people seem to be able to do the test without any problem. Fingers crossed for you. Hoping my test kit will be here next week!

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 02/01/2025 18:09

Apart from today the reviews of doing the test seem fine. And once I got through it was v good. They are on call for about 30mins talking you through it and I get anxious around blood tests and hardly felt it. It's well designed.

Good luck when you do yours!

I'm really hoping I can start Friday week but I guess that depends on their turnaround time and lots tested today!

Warnings aren’t necessary?
Fake reviews.
Videos of women’s progress not mentioning they are employees.
Would you like to explain why you DONT find that dodgy( to use your own word)

What a VERY odd response.

Would you like me to provide, yet again, the evidence of this.Im more than happy to provide this.
Could you expl

Or do you have some other explanation please?

SilenceInside · 02/01/2025 18:16

No you're alright.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 02/01/2025 18:22

Yes it would be nice if those of us who have signed up (there's a few of us on mn) can share our experiences without being constantly criticised.

SilenceInside · 02/01/2025 18:16

No you're alright.

So please reply to my questions.
Why you think their fake reviews are ok
why you think making videos about the average woman’s progrès , but failing to mention they aren’t unbiased as they are staff.
Not once, but twice.

I agree. I should be able to post a warning without being criticized.

SilenceInside · 02/01/2025 18:32

No, you aren't above criticism. You could start your own thread about this company if you want "warn" people.
