Checking in. Thank you for new thread.
Week 5 day 3 for me. I'm losing and regaining the same 2lbs this last 7 days. No great loss so far but I'm happy enough with a 7lb loss in total.
Upped to 5mg. Couldn't eat yesterday but today I've had to consciously stop looking in the fridge.

I'm slightly worried about cooking over the Christmas period. I've lost all interest in cooking. Normally by this time of the year I'd be looking for recipes and meal planning but I've got zero interest. I'm cooking for 12 over Christmas. It might be a case of a plainer Christmas dinner with more bought in side dishes rather than doing it all from scrath as normal. If anyone has any tips for Christmas cooking I'd be very grateful.

What sort of things are you looking for? Veg side dishes? 7lb is a great achievement. 💪🏻

Is everyone changing their site injection each week and does it make a difference do you think? My first dose went in my thigh and second in my upper arm. I seemed to have less nausea in my arm but that's maybe just a coincidence and my body is getting used to the medication? I'm due my third dose tomorrow so trying to decide!

I’m alternating between left and right sides of the stomach. Not noticed any issues thus far.

W3 D2!

SW 93.1 (but really started at 100 back in June, on Metformin first, until I didn't tolerate it)

CW 89.3

My BMI is back under 30 for the first time in ages, so technically back to "only" overweight, not obese. That's really nice to know.

I feel like the appetite suppression isn't as strong this week as in the first two weeks. I have already ordered a 5 mg pen, but half wondering if I should try to count clicks to inch towards 3.75 next week in preparation for the move up... Has anyone done that?

On the other hand I'm slightly nervous about increasing because I'm going on holiday on 14th and I really really don't want side effects while away with DS9!

Great weight loss so far! Have a great holiday!

Checking in. Did my second injection yesterday, felling a bit pants today, nothing in particular just a bit MEH.

I was super hungry Thursday night, but had rice cake instead of my usual whole block of stilton, pack of crackers and various chutneys. Injection went well, Insomnia is a REAL issue 😓

I’ve started listening to a 10m sleep meditation if I wake. It really helps go back into a deep sleep.

I'm getting some very low level niggling pain that I suspect may be gall bladder. It's just below my ribs centre right. I'm only on 3.75 not even 5! I'm starting to really feel like this medication is not for me. Admittedly my diet is rubbish at times just smaller portions of rubbish. So tonight I had a third of a Chinese takeaway.

Is cooking from scratch an option open to you?

So far noticing nothing with the increased 5 dose which I injected this morning! Hungrier than I have been since starting. Please say it will kick in soon!!!

Odfod · 30/11/2024 21:11

w3 injection just done / a day earlier so if I can't sleep tonight (which has been the case the last two weeks) at least I can nap tomorrow!
Good luck everyone.

BeNavyScroller · 30/11/2024 21:43

So why no eggs in the first few days?

lovealongbath · 30/11/2024 23:00

3 jab just done, 2 days late as I still had suppressed appetite.

i have to say third one was easier, getting the hang of it now.

hopefully off to 💤

Just catching up with the new thread and I’m so impressed at the losses, amazing! As long as your body doesn’t disagree with the medication it’s a total game changer. I’m really focusing on my portion size and noticing how much less I need than I would normally eat. I’m full of energy and feel fine on less than 1/2 my normal portion size. I guess that’s how I got here!

Can you change the name of the thread? It's a bit gross.

Thank you. Not sure really. Just looking for tips to make cooking Christmas dinner easier when I've now got no interest in it. I'm cooking everyday but have lost all enthusiasm for cooking on MJ.

It's proving pretty accurate in my case! ConfusedConfused Apparently only when I eat actual egg.

@Mounjaropen I do like cooking from scratch but between a chronic illness, heavy workload and fussy family it's harder than usual at the minute. The jabs made my fatigue worse overall in the first month although more recently it's not as clear cut. I'm hoping all the side effects will settle.

ShaunaSadeki · 01/12/2024 07:50

After stalling all week 1.2 kilos off this morning and that was after a glass of water so would have been more otherwise

LindtCurves · 01/12/2024 07:51

W2 D7

OMG I’m hungry again! I think it’s because a) this week’s injection leaked a bit so likely got a smaller dose b) I’ve upped my exercise.

In the gym yesterday all I could think of was dinner, so drove home and had 1,000 calories in a sitting! Thankfully all healthy fresh food and good balance but still.

I thought I might feel really full this morning like others have described but now I’m craving breakfast!

Will bring the injection forward to today. Previously eating enough was a problem on MJ but last couple of days I’m genuinely hungry.

Week1 -11lb
Week2 -3lb

Odfod · 01/12/2024 08:04

Took injection #3 lastnight. Weighed this morning. -11lb over two weeks which I'll take. Biggest thing for me is cutting out bread - still crave it so that's definitely willpower needed on top of whatever the jab is doing for me.

piscofrisco · 01/12/2024 08:23

Annoyed with self as went way over calories yesterday for no real reason. Food was fine, but a Gin and tonic, 2 Brandy cocktails and a glass of wine and that's 2000 calories right there. Feel ok this morning except for a mild hangover ish headache.
In fairness that's about half of what I would normally drink when out on a Saturday night so I suppose there is still some moderation there, but I am annoyed with myself for not making better choices. Could have had four gin and slims for instance which would have been easier on the content.
And I'm hungry this morning which I always am after drinking. Again though, where before I would have had a massive breakfast, probably a big old sandwich for lunch and full roast dinner in the evening, I won't do that today-(mainly on willpower however as I've no suppression today, and could easily devour a full English!) so still a win, but I think I'd got complacent about how well my brain re training was going re food and drink choices.

KentishMama · 01/12/2024 08:24

I'm dieting and trying to cut out (most) ultra processed food, and DH proudly presented me with a Pringles advent calendar this morning...

What do you think, should I LTB?

😂

Hang on, there is a Pringles advent calendar?!?! now I need to google that.

Saturdays, despite injecting in the morning, I always feel really hungry and this week I ended up binging. Really hoping the 5ml takes effect sometime soon as currently, nothing.

I'm tempted to leave because I didn't t get one - even though if he had got me one, I'd be leaving too 🤣🤣🤣

Maybe have a look at Mary Berry/Delia for make ahead dishes you can freeze. Then as the mood takes you in December, just make one at a time. For me, it’s just a big roast dinner. Pudding will be very non traditional. Leftovers for Boxing Day. Can you rope I. Anyone to help?

If it helps, I had most of a bottle of whispering angel 😂 no hunger this morning, unsurprisingly I have a headache.

I’ll be mostly tree decorating today 🥳
