@Demjay oh dear, that doesn’t sound at all pleasant for you. Did you go up to 5mg for this dose?

Yes I’m on 5mg. It’s not treating me kindly 😣

Jellybaby30 · 01/12/2024 12:42

I did my 5th jab Friday eve and first of 5mg. Was scared and counted clicks to 45 ( 3.75mg) then thought sod it and did the full dose as my suppression has been nil last week and old habits were returning. V mild nausea yest, could barely eat as no appetite, made myself have fruit, Greek yog, protein salad. Feel low on energy so making myself eat 3 meals today and def want to be uber careful on no greasy/ spicy / v sweet things. Good luck next week now we are in December! One month today I started and I've lost 8kg - 30kg to go

ShaunaSadeki · 01/12/2024 12:43

I’m vegan and don’t feel excluded or triggered by the thread title and we all know what pains in backside my lot are.

Just did my bonus dose, DH managed to twist the pen with pliers after I failed. I had insulin syringes but was scared of them for some reason.

I’ve lost 4.8 kilos since I started on about the 8th of November, which I am very happy with as to have dropped that much without MJ would have taken up my whole brain and caused me to feel very deprived.

Spit!!

PandasMum · 01/12/2024 13:00

Hello
My first comment 😬
Starting 21 stone 7
Week 1 = 9lbs loss
Week 2 = 8lbs loss
Week 3 = 1lb loss
So that’s 18lbs down on the 2.5 and I’ve just started 5 a couple of days ago. I’ve averaged 1,400 calories a day but with it low at the start of the week and higher later. I’m a bit nervous that I don’t feel as ‘different’ as I did in the first 2 weeks but 🤞

ShaunaSadeki · 01/12/2024 13:05

Well done PandasMum, you must feel great!

Sorry really not been catching up with the thread.
Ive done 4 jabs and lost 12lb.
Tried to twist for my bonus dose this morning and it twisted off but then didn't inject any liquid so I've missed that boat!

MsRumpole · 01/12/2024 13:37

The whole bonus dose thing is a bit annoying. My doctor says they're trying to develop a tablet which hopefully will make the whole thing more cost-effective.

I had this problem last night too so I skipped to the 5mg. Really annoying.

Lots of super losses being posted this weekend well done all!! 🎉

Jab number 4 for me tonight - weighed this morning and have lost another 12lb this week. Taking my total loss in 4 weeks to 46lbs - including 5lb from the week before my first jab.

So pleased with continuing with some big weekly losses but I know it's because I've got soooo much weight to lose so there's a long journey ahead. Decided to stick to 2.5mg for my next pen too. Anyone else do 2 months on 2.5?

Bilbette · 01/12/2024 14:37

So here is my shameful secret, I started this journey at 24 stone and a few pounds, with inaccurate scales and no desire to be exact I’m not entirely sure, but the 24 stone bit is definitely correct.

As of yesterday and with new accurate scales I am now 22 stone 13lbs.

so here we go -

W4 D2
SW 24stone ?lbs
CW 22:13 - weight loss at least 16lbs

not sure what my target is, just one day at a time or the task will seem too large

it’s taken a lot to post this so please don’t judge

Jabtastic · 01/12/2024 14:48

So we just went out for lunch. I had a fat-free vegan panini and a handful of fries (shared a portion with DH) and couldn't eat the vegan bun I bought. But my stomach wasn't great, we ended up rushing home so I could use the loo.

I'm starting to think this drug just doesn't agree with me at all. I've only lost 10lbs in 5.5 weeks and it's giving me heartburn, constipation, egg intolerance and now IBS style diarrhea. I keep waiting for things to settle and no sign yet.

Does anyone know how long it takes to leave our systems completely if we stop?

I started at nearly 24 stone two weeks ago and am now down to just under 23. You're not alone so please don't feel ashamed.

Thank you for your words, and well done on your loss, it’s great to feel supported but I also do feel shame, how the hell did this happen, how did I become this huge person.

But I also do feel it can change and for the first time in years I feel positive.

Absolutely not shameful. Everyone has their own journey and any support we can give each other is wonderful. Good luck getting to where you are happy but never be ashamed (easy for me to say) xx

No shame needed; we're all in the same boat here! And I too had to get new scales because I simply didn't want to know the actual number. Until I had to. You've made the first step and that's the hardest one. Just know that you've got this. We all do.

The loveliest thing about this thread is that there is zero judgement. I’ve said it before no one IRL knows what I weigh. Posting here keeps me motivated to keep going. 16lbs is a seriously impressive loss. Congratulations! Keep posting whatever you are happy to share.

I think for some of us, weight gain has been for various different reasons - not valuing yourself enough to put your health before everyone else’s needs is mine. Parenting, caring for elderly parents, menopause and general life has been my downfall. I feel positive enough to make a real change for me right now. I’m spending time and money on putting myself first - a bit like i was in my 20’s and early 30’s. I have to say, it is agreeing with me!
