Maintenance Policy Email Cloud Pharmacy And Others. (A list of Mounjaro maintenance providers)

Hi, just for anyone who's asking for pharmacies policies on maintenance, I've just received an email from Cloud pharmacy and this is so far the best stance I've seen anywhere. Some other pharmacies offer maintenance but Cloud seem to be the first I've seen to finally outrightly state "for life" rather than 'We'll see how it goes', 'Well have a consultation and discuss your options', 'Let's have a chat', 'You have to pay a small fee to stay on our books while you're on maintenance', 'We're happy to work with you for maintenance and we take it individually', etc. I also know they offer one month on and one month off for maintenance from what some people on reddit are on. I hope more pharmacies get on board this "for life" stance rather than beating about the bush or being limited to a certain bmi cutoff or taper.

Just wanted to post this so others can have an idea and decide for themselves as it's mostly been one or two popular pharmacies that posters constantly advertise all over the MJ forums. I use Cloud and they're excellent so far. They're on the monj.co uk list and others lists too. I'll definitely stay with them for maintenance when the time comes. No referral codes and they give discounts to their customers without you doing anything for it, so I have no skin in the game. I definitely have nothing to gain from posting, just sharing to help others.

Feel free to share other pharmacies maintenance policy on this thread if you have any in writing. It will help us all to know who to go with for support. X

Sorry for repetition- I posted on wrong thread and don't know how to delete!

IrisPallida · 07/01/2025 13:27

If you are within a healthy BMI, but have not reached your target weight, you can continue taking Mounjaro until you reach your target weight, providing that your BMI is still in the healthy range. Once you reach your target weight, you can either taper down gradually (as long as your BMI is above 20/21) or stop and continue managing your weight through diet/lifestyle.

This is not maintenance, this is stopping taking Mounjaro when you reach your target weight.

I think we need to remove the Family Chemist from the list of suppliers offering maintenance support.

And @Azuresky68 - thank you, and please carry on posting. No-one on this thread works for Oushk or is creating their policies and their experience is merely their experience. I really will get pissed off if that bloody facebook cheerleader vibe ends up on this thread. It is a pharmacy, not a football team. The only correct way to clarify a pharmacy's policy is to ask them.

The only correct way to clarify a pharmacy's policy is to ask

And they do sometimes change info

So what we find out now - maybe not be the same in 3/6mths

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 07/01/2025 13:42

@Azuresky68 thanks for posting the response from TFC. That ties in with what I read on Reddit. They basically DO NOT offer maintenance!

@IrisPallida but Oushk ‘has changed my life!’ 😂

Azuresky68 · 07/01/2025 13:58

@IrisPallida @IReallyNeedThisToWork they really do call themselves Oushkers 🙄 and if you post anything even slightly negative you are in BIG trouble. However if it helps people with the ups and downs of weight loss then that's great. My last word on that one 🤫

But they do say "taper down OR stop" - it's not phrased well but I do think it sounds like they're suggesting tapering down until you reach a level that maintains your weight.

Like others have said, I think we'll see a lot of activity from the pharmacies in the coming months as they scramble to hook in the maintenance market.

Orangesandlemons77 · 07/01/2025 14:55

I guess we need to remember this is all new and maybe things will pick up or change as more people do maintenance.

IrisPallida · 07/01/2025 14:57

I see what you mean, @85reasons , but what if your ideal maintenance path is to stay taking your current dose (because it works/is well tolerated) but increase your calories? Which is what many in the USA do?

On the other hand, as I posted before, this is what they say about maintenance on their website which rather contradicts what they are saying in the email. Which is it, I wonder?

Azuresky68 · 07/01/2025 15:21

Just to let you know I got a reply from BOLT. As things keep changing with guidelines on maintenance I recommend that people email direct with specific questions according to their needs. I am quite near goal so am researching options for the next 6/7 weeks. Once I have received responses then I can make an informed decision. Needless to say, any provider who doesn't take the time to reply won't be getting my hard warned cash!

I’m not sure it is saying what you think. It is poorly written but the or seems to indicate it means you can stay on.

85reasons · 08/01/2025 08:35

Just seen some posts in the dreaded Oushk FB maintenance group from someone saying she's doing month on/month off with Oushk, at 5mg... it's going to be interesting to see the different variations as that group grows. Encouraging though. Not least because if that works for maintenance that's a very reasonable cost.

Yes, there is someone doing this with Cloud also, I think it sounds like a plan I might like to try. And yes it would be cheaper so might be more affordable longer term.

That person did lots of exercise on the weeks off and I think it was working pretty well. because of the extra dose it is more like 3 weeks off really.

I'm currently at BMI of 28 so know I need to find a provider to switch too soon.

Oushk also lets you have a longer gap if on 2.5mg

Carridoesntlivehereanymore · 09/01/2025 08:39

Like so many, I'm really hoping longer term maintenance becomes a widely accepted thing sooner rather than later. I'm following this post with interest as it is something I suspect I will benefit from later this year

I emailed pharmacies offering maintenance with specific questions and have got all the replies - no reply from IQ Doctor. It's between Cloud and Ousch and it's going to be down to price. I got a reply from Bolt but it didn't fit my needs. As has been said on here things are evolving so it's best to email the providers direct when you are planning for maintenance. Good luck and well done!

It's something else isn't it!!!!

Not convinced about this £50 protein powder they are offering 😭 I personally don't think inactive people should be taking powder protein, only gym goers.

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/01/2025 22:47

From family chemist

Can I go back to Mounjaro/Wegovy if I see weight gain after stopping? Yes, if you experience significant weight gain after stopping Mounjaro or Wegovy, we can consider restarting the medication. We offer protection for up to 12 months after discontinuation, during which time we will monitor your progress and determine if resuming treatment is appropriate. However, the weight gain needs to be substantial enough to warrant restarting the medication, and it’s essential that you have been my patient from the beginning of your treatment. This ensures that we comprehensively understand your medical history and weight management needs, allowing us to make the best decision for your health.

so if didn’t start with them you can’t finish with them

Someone posted, quite reasonably I thought, that they had to pay 3 lots of postage for three pens (I have ordered 3 pens elsewhere and only paid one charge btw) and they got a whole new post about them and their complaint "because someone cares" hmm.

That really shows how thick some of the people on that page are.

If you order multiple pens at once and do it as one order it is one lot of postage. I have done this myself.

I have also emailed them and asked if I can add an extra pen to an existing order and they have done so meaning I only had to pay one lot of postage despite two separate orders.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 10/01/2025 21:14

@WorriedRelative did you see it?? It was saying we shouldn’t be ‘stockpiling’ pens or ordering more than one for various reasons and they were posting because ‘they care’!

Dear me 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

There's a few characters in that group that are so sanctimonious 😪😪😪😪😪

It's no one else's business what anyone else orders 🤐

I've actually ordered two pens together for my next delivery to save a couple of quid and because its such a pain making sure I'm home for the delivery.

I won't let on on the page 😆

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 10/01/2025 21:38

@NewLifter which seems a very sensible thing to do! Sanctimonious indeed! 😂

www.thefamilychemist.co.uk/maintenance-therapy-on-weight-loss-medications-wegovy-and-mounjaro/

I'm with the Family Chemist. I have been with Bolt, MedExpress and ZAVA in the past 10 months so have used several suppliers before moving to them for maintenance. I have ordered 4 10mg pens with them. No issues, no questions. Have not been asked for photos. I was on 15mg at one point so have come down as I got to goal. I have just read their maintenance page and right now it says:

When we stop prescribing: As a general guideline, we would stop prescribing weight loss medications that started using Mounjaro/Wegovy at a BMI of 30 or over to individuals with a BMI less than 19. This is to avoid becoming underweight, which can lead to various health issues such as nutritional deficiencies, weakened immune function, and bone health problems.

I will never get to BMI 19 so they shouldn't refuse to supply me. I have been adding a few pounds to my weight each time I order as I hadn't seen the above page until just now. My BMI is 23 at the moment.

Their webpage actually stresses the importance of staying on it as the Surmount study shows most people have some weight gain if they stop taking it. I may titrate down further but I hope to take it for all of 2025.

Scattybrain2022 · 13/01/2025 21:35

Just for info - Numan told me I can stay on it for life. I only had a stone to lose. I was bmi 27 but pre diabetic. I’m now at bmi 22 and they said I can stay on the 2.5mg to maintain. I never increased my dose from the 2.5 as it worked for me. I don’t think I’m going to stay on it to be honest but it was interesting that they said I could. They said I could take holidays and change delivery date to suit. They said officially the only way it can be prescribed is one dose a week. They said it would be stopped if my bmi fell to less than 20.
