I must admit I have zero fears about somehow still losing when I don't want to. My arse could turn into a flamingo before that happens.

This is currently what's happening to me. Don't want to lose more particularly but it is still coming off. It sounds like a nice problem to have, but I am worried about losing muscle mass especially as I've been ill and unable to train at the gym. Everything is starting to look a little saggy now 😶

@NippyCrab 11st was about the weight my DH started saying I shouldn't lose much more. I wanted to be more around 10 stone 9, which I stuck at for a bit, but I'm now dropping again. It feels puzzling because I'm tapering down the MJ and it's been Christmas party season. I feel like I've not been eating very well, drinking more alcohol, etc. I don't feel like my appetite is hugely suppressed either. I probably can't eat the same quantities as I used to, but my diet has definitely not been the best this month!

NippyCrab · 22/12/2024 08:56

@CrazyGoatLady ah I was thinking of you yesterday because we were similar in goal and weight and also because I had my Lucy and Yak dungarees on! DH said this morning he should have worded it better when he commented on my legs, he said my clothes are too big, my jeans, and the pair I had on to go out were particularly baggy round the thighs 😂
I'm refusing to buy good jeans until I know im happy with how things are fitting.

I have been reading these posts loads and have been blown away by people's losses however it has also made me despondent as my losses are quite low in comparison (28 lbs since early August).

I know that my sedentary work life and my love of wine does not help! However my DH was diagnosed as having diabetes recently and we are now cutting out all carbs and this has kick started quicker weight loss for me but perhaps not sustainable?

I have another 3 stone to lose and would to reduce my boobs but this is an area which is refusing to budge!

Well done all on your fantastic journeys and long may they continue.

SilverSprings510 · 22/12/2024 10:07

Morning ladies! Manic week for me but I am FINALLY finished for Xmas, woohoo! Taking DC to see Santa today. Another -2lb off for me this week, taking me down to -3st12/-54lbs/-24.5kg. I’ll be happy with a maintain over Xmas week but would love a loss obviously. I know I’ll be unhappy with a gain but I’m just trying not to put too much pressure on myself, after all this needs to be sustainable!

Good morning everyone. I went to Kew Gardens yesterday. Second year in a row. Last year I remember feeling huge and uncomfortable. Yesterday I walked 20 k - some of it really slowly - and drank hot chocolate with cream and Tia Maria and marshmallows and it was lovely. I need to remember that feeling 😬

I definitely need to walk more next year!

weaseleyes · 22/12/2024 10:31

That looks lovely @Motnight! I went to the cinema with my daughter the other day. It was one of those ones where you sit on a sofa. It was so nice not to be worrying that I was crammed into the seat, maybe spilling over onto her, and to be able to cross my legs normally. Definitely an improvement on the last time we went!

@DitzyDoes My work life becoming more sedentary caused me all sorts of weight and health problems. I definitely recommend setting yourself a daily steps/walking goal. It really motivates you to spend a few minutes in between meetings etc walking round the block rather than dithering on screen.

4pink1blue · 22/12/2024 10:47

Hard lesson learned yesterday! Went to MIL with all my family and she'd done a buffet. I THOUGHT I'd only eaten a small amount (to be fair compared to pre mj it was) however I have spent all night on the loo. I even vomited 3 times and I am never sick 🤢.
On top of that I have a training shift at my new job at 12 and I feel like death!

weaseleyes · 22/12/2024 11:11

Oh no @4pink1blue ! Hopefully the adrenalin of the new job will see you through. Good luck.

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/12/2024 11:37

@DitzyDoes 2st is still good and if have another 3s to lose then it's coming off slowly so should stay off

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/12/2024 11:38

Wine is high in cals

Are you calorie counting or just trying to eat healthily

I do have carbs every day

Porridge /toast
Pasta
Jacket rice

Usually 2 of the above

1clavdivs · 22/12/2024 16:43

@DitzyDoes , I'm losing at about the same rate. I'm also doing C25K three times a week and averaging about 1000 calories a day. There are definitely carbs in there. I don't think I'll make any more changes now though, slow and steady seems to be my fate.

PineappleCoconut · 22/12/2024 17:04

Congratulations @owlyboo on your spectacular week & amazing losses.

@DitzyDoes I'm losing at the same rate, slowly but it is a loss. I rarely drink wine, but don't say no to G&T or something with Coke Zero. I'm sure I'd lose more if I cut that out too, but it's the time of year when there are so many social events, and I don't want to say no to everything.

I should get off my bum and walk more, but the current l cold and dark doesn't encourage me off the sofa in the slightest.

I always do a dry January, and plan to get out walking as soon as I can face it and it's no longer dark when I get back from work. But as long as the scales keep going down, I'm however slowly, I'm happy.

owlyboo · 22/12/2024 18:47

Thanks @PineappleCoconut you

owlyboo · 22/12/2024 18:48

Sorry it posted to soon! You definitely have to have some treats as it's not sustainable otherwise! Ive still has wine at weekends.

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/12/2024 19:13

Missed your post @4pink1blue Hope feeling better now bless you

Congrats on your weight loss so far.
I started around the same time as you and have lost 32lb but have twice as much as you to lose still so I get the feeling despondent with slow losses. But it's not really that slow. It hasn't caused me to want to calorie count yet. I will do at some point if if grinds to a halt. I work from home and on those days I probably don't even do 1000 steps.
Personally I couldn't cut out carbs as I don't think it is sustainable. I understand doing it for medical reasons.
I did Atkins when I was 17, lost 5 stone and got near to goal but the weight piled back on mega quick as I couldn't follow low carb for life. Ever since then when I have dieted I haven't drastically cut carbs.

DitzyDoes · 22/12/2024 19:36

Thanks for all your positive messages and thoughts. Currently cutting out carbs to support DH as the diabetes diagnosis has been a shock to him. Prior to this was probably on 1000 calories as since starting, I have lost interest in food but it has not put me off alcohol.

Sadly I work about 10 hours a day and all on my laptop and know I need to move more.

Started on 15 stone 4, CW 13.4

Makelikeatreeandleaf · 22/12/2024 19:38

@DitzyDoes I have lost 27.5lbs (irritatingly!) and have sts for weeks. I'm not overly concerned as I'm thrilled about the loss overall and although the scales aren't moving, people are noticing I've lost weight. I've still got 2 stone to go but if I lose that in the same time frame I've lost this 2 stone-bar-half-a-bastard-pound, I shall be delighted and wearing a bikini on holiday in August for the first time in nearly 20 years. We can do this!

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/12/2024 12:49

I will try both of these tonight and see if similar

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/12/2024 23:11

Ive ordered some bras via prime and free returns as def sure I'm not that size

BlitheSpirits · 23/12/2024 01:05

Hello all, i havent posted for quite a while. I am still losing but SLOWLY, probably about 1.5-2 lbs a week. The last couple of weeks i have not been eating healthily- lots of birthdays and xmas meals and i have received dozens of chocolate gifts from the 150 children i teach, most of which i wll aim to re-gift!.
I am finding the first month of 10mg quite savage in terms of side effects- exhaustion , headache and acid reflux. I am wondering whether to reduce or at least split my dose over xmas week because we have 2 of our grown up children who live overseas coming to stay and i dont want the time to be marred by feeling ill or worrying what i eat. I will probably have a couple of days properly off at christmas. I have am ok with this because i have found that when i go back on my plan again , i get a big whoosh loss.
Well done to everyone on their losses and good luck navigating the festive season!

since 10th august
SW 20st 1 lb
CW 16 st 11 lb
loss 3st 4 lbs
not the fastest, but slow and steady!

AdeloreSmore · 23/12/2024 07:34

Hello friends, some brilliant NSVs and losses - I applaud you all ❤️ Also lovely to see people checking in for christmas and still on their journey 🎄

Boob measuring is on my list of things to do over christmas. Mine are like spaniels ears rolling about in their massive ear muffs 😆

I had a stay the same last week, def due to Xmas meal out and lots of wine. It was the first time I'd had pasta since august and felt horribly bloated for days, so I know the way I'm eating is the right choice for me. I'm dancing between 14- 7 and 14- 9 on a daily basis which if I can maintain this week, I'll be really happy.

I took 7.5 from my first 10 pen as was nervous of too much suppression. Then next week, I'll be brave & will do the actual 10mg!

Timetofindme · 23/12/2024 09:15

@BlitheSpirits I think 1.5-2 is a good steady loss. It's more than I'm averaging and I've decided I'm happy with that as I'm in this for the long haul and want to use it as a chance to change habits and be sustainable once I'm off the MJ. I know it's not a huge weekly loss but they generally say 1-2lbs a week is a sustainable loss (ignoring the MJ) so please don't worry or do yourself down for not losing more!

I'd definitely consider a lower dose for this week if you're getting lots of side effects, not worth feeling ill whilst your family is here. Wishing you a wonderful Christmas!

Motnight · 23/12/2024 10:00

Good morning everyone. I have had a woosh and lost 3 lbs.

Since January 2024 I have lost 50 lbs. At least 42 on Mounjaro I think. I have at least another 60 to go. I'm aiming to hit this in 12 months.
