No end in sight for a while for me! I have 17lb to barely squeak into a healthy BMI and 31lb to reach a BMI of 23.1, which I'd dearly love to get to so I'm not panicking that a pound or two gained will tip me into overweight again. I think it's going to take me a fair few months to get there, if indeed I can.

weaseleyes · 19/12/2024 14:58

Glad you got through it and had fun @Changinghabits1973 !

Mum0ntherun · 19/12/2024 15:20

@Blondeshavemorefun & @morbidcuriosity I think a few of us have a long way to go. I'm 5'11 started at 19 1, and am now at 16, so just over 3 stone since 25th August, and I am pleased with that. I am not eating a 'diet'; I am just eating what I always eat but in far less quantity and not picking, which was my utter downfall. I had Christmas lunch with girlfriends on Tuesday and had no started (I wanted a pud) and left half of the HUGE amount that was on my plate, and that is what I need to do more of: making sensible choices. I was always taught to clear my plate, and that is a hard habit to get out of. That and finishing the kid's leftovers but my strapping 16-year-old son now finishes mine 😁

I want this to be sustainable, and I can't do that if I change everything. I need to lose over another 3 stone to edge into healthy BMI but to be honest I think that is nonsense as I am sure I will look really scrappy and ill at that, so I will stop when I think I am happy. I'm on 5mg, and it is working for me: 2lbs or so each week, and my skin is gently returning, though my tummy is still 'pillowy.'😂This group has been so supportive and helpful in sharing ideas and experiences, and I really appreciate the time everyone puts in. I am really impressed with how everyone is doing and persevering. 👏👏👏

Me too @Mum0ntherun totally relate to your post...

I too have a long weigh to go, tbh i am only just over halfway in to my goal; but i like you will stop when it is starting to not look right... I notice my face now and how much slimmer it looks but i dont want to look ill - why can't we lose it off the places where i honestly can't see any difference eg. thighs, stomach !! xx

morbidcuriosity · 19/12/2024 15:39

@Mum0ntherun yep your right.. and someone taller than me, ha. Yay.. normally me who has to reach the high shelves for people. Lol. But yes 2lb a week, I get a few 4 or 5lb loss but that after a few stays or 1lb losses, but I work shifts and some night shifts and they make me retain water I think.. its always after them I stay the same or lose 1lb. .
I am in this for as long as necessary as its the only thing that's worked, and I'm not denying myself anything just moderation, not a pack of 9 penguins in a few days etc..

MabelSpan · 19/12/2024 16:11

@Mum0ntherun @morbidcuriosity I am envious of your heights! In my teens and 20s I was 5ft 11, in my 30s I was very annoyed at a work medical when I was told I had lost an inch to 5ft 10, then in my 50s I have shrunk to 5ft 9, I blame all my bulging discs😄
I may start hanging upside down and sleep like a bat if this continues😂

morbidcuriosity · 19/12/2024 16:16

Haha. I swear I used to be 5 foot 11.. but now 5 10 . Age is getting to me.

weaseleyes · 19/12/2024 16:30

I have no sympathy with either of you - at least you were both a decent height to start with! 😁Shrinking is a far more terrible fate when you were only 5'2" to start with 😡

morbidcuriosity · 19/12/2024 17:11

This is where the bmi thing is a load of crap.. my friend also on MJ is 5 foot 2 and I was so shocked she was obese.. she doesn't even look overweight, but apparently she was.. think with 1.5 stone loss she now healthy.. and I've still got 2.5 to go and still just touching healthy..

Oh well, mounjaro is working and I love it.

MabelSpan · 19/12/2024 17:24

I agree with BMI being rubbish. My final goal will be based on how my body is holding up as I lose more weight and maybe my height to waist ratio.

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/12/2024 18:54

@morbidcuriosity

Yes

17.4 and ideally to get to 11s or 11.4 to make it 6s

But that sounds impossible target doesn't it

Losing 6st !!!

But we will get there

11.5 makes me 24.9 and top of healthy bmi so if I gain a lb I'm back to over weight 🙀🥲

Which sounds crazy

10.10 which I got to via ww 25yrs ago or so makes me bmi 23

But I couldn't keep it there and I looked gaunt

If I can stay around 11s I think I will be happy but gaining 4/5bs will make me very top end of bmi if stay at 11.4/5

Decisions

Kwym about people starting at 12s and wanting to get to 10. They must be short arses

No offence to any shorties on here lol

@weaseleyes you will be in company if @morbidcuriosity and I @Mum0ntherun

Agree why we can't lose it where we need. Hips Boobs tummy is where all mine is

I actually have quite nice legs from knees down 😂

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/12/2024 18:55

I've always worked nights so I can't use the retain water @morbidcuriosity 😂

morbidcuriosity · 19/12/2024 19:02

I just double checked the bmi thing.. and 12.6 will make me a bmi of 25..

I would be more than happy with that, so that's still my main goal .
My next achievement is the 14.6 to make a 4 stone loss, then seeing a 13, and just the thought of seeing a 13 is madness.. but I am still under the belief it can happen.
I've got another 2 shots of 7.5 to go yet and I'm only just getting out of the struggling stage, it really did vamp up my suppression, but I've just eaten some chicken breast and some 8p veg from lidl.. I stocked up with the cheap veg to try see me through.

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/12/2024 19:57

You will get to 13. Same as I did.

4pink1blue · 19/12/2024 19:59

I got the job!! I'm a working woman now...eek!!!

As for being the last one left, I'm afraid that will be me. I had at least 8 stone to lose - ideally 9! Losing 9 stone will get me (barely) into healthy bmi. I am a shortarse and was a ridiculous starting weight...19 stone! So although I've lost nearly 5 stone I've still got over 4 to go! At least I'm managing well on 7.5mg so it could be worse!

morbidcuriosity · 19/12/2024 20:08

Congratulations @4pink1blue . Now you be looking forward to days off.. haha. And well done on the nearly 5 stones.. thats amazing..

Usernamechangeforthis12 · 19/12/2024 20:14

Amazing @4pink1blue - congratulations on getting the job!!

Every one of us should be so proud of what we’ve achieved. Back in the summer when I yet again berated myself for getting so fat and not having the will power to stick to a diet for more than a few weeks, I never actually imagined I would get this far.

I would like to try and get to 9.5 stone but I’m not sure whether that will look too much, so once I get to 10ish I’ll see.

Although I’m getting really strong suppression days 3/4 and struggling to eat, I actually have much more energy, less joint pain and have come off my anti depressants.

20bloodypounds · 19/12/2024 20:33

So many lovely posts to read. I'm another short arse so although starting weight was less it feels like a battle for every pound. And when I put on weight it takes so little to make me look podgy - there's nowhere to hide it.

@NippyCrab hope you've had a better MH day today.

I was out with all our neighbours yesterday at our fab local Indian restaurant. I had chicken tikka (well about half of it), and there was rice, naan and dahl for us all to share so I could take small amounts and it wasn't at all obvious how little I was eating.

Today we had lunch with friends - a 5 course tasting menu so every plate was tiny and delicate and delicious. Too much wine! Now it will be full on healthy until Sunday when half the family come for early Christmas.

NippyCrab · 19/12/2024 20:36

@4pink1blue congratulations wee shorty lol and we will all still be here to the end of everyone's journey, then we can all do maintaining 💛🐾

Stollen and marzipan is heaven lady @Blondeshavemorefun 😂

I'm too bloody tired to tag but everyone is so fabulous and amazing! I was whizzing about today, i went to a fab dog park that has 3 separate sections and wow we will definitely go back. The pup has the worst recall of any dog I've had to train, cloth ears, hence the enclosed dog park.
❤️❤️
