Aw, blondes, be kind to yourself. I haven't felt the same about Christmas since my DPs died, and focus now on Hogmanay. I broke up with a longterm DP just before Christmas a few years back and did a sort of midwinter ritual where I went out on the shortest day and collected lots of Pagan Winter type greenery (I live in the sticks!), then wrote a letter to myself, acknowledging all the things I was doing right, and outlining what I wanted in my life in the new year. Then I burned the letter in the fireplace (full disclosure: I was sort of mixing up Pagan Winter with Father Christmas and a touch of Stevie Nicks at this point). Eventually most of what I asked for turned up, but the main thing was it gave me a hippie-ish kind of calm - that everything has a season, things change, we change, but green shoots appear where we least expect. I hope 2025 brings everything you want.

Re the whole 'losing weight but still wearing the same clothes' business - do you think it's down to losing visceral fat (ie, inside the body cavity) rather than subcutaneous fat (ie, the layer that hangs over your bra strap)? I've lost 11kg since August slooooooow and am still wearing the same jeans as before, though they look a bit better.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/12/2024 12:31

Thank you @Azuresky68 your message made my eyes water. And you still had a loss

And @JoyousSwan As I said we have a lovely supportive group

I will be ok. Have to. Just yesterday was hard. Onwards and upwards

I'm still starving !!!

@SilverSprings510 sorry sts

@WitchDancer happy birthday. 🎁

Are you doing anything nice ? Sorry sts but sounds like you've had a nice week nibbling

And we have to have treats as we are never not ever going to never have

@Princessandthepie well done on loss and strut yourself on that school run !!!

@NippyCrab maybe a case of sour grapes for tulisa Obv everyone is playing a game and want to win

Are you sure you need another stone off. What's your bmi ?

@HippoPortlyMouse sounds like you could be my twin - in weight clothes size etx - always wanted a sister

@SammySays you sound as if you had a bug like me. Possibly norvavirus. All my friends think I had it as so poorly the last week

Think in all it was 8/9 days till totally better

I am very Hungary at the moment as well. Not sure if as I barely ate last eeek and when I did I lost it both ends or as the dose was 2 less as bonus. Must have used a lot priming

Yes many have said felt bad on 5 but ok on 7.5 if you have no suppression I would increase but im the queen of low /no suppression

@OnTheBounce sorry about your dp and dp. Your ritual sounds great and made me smile

No twigs here but I can burn a candle

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/12/2024 12:46

And a stone would make you 22/23?

I think I'm going to struggle to get to low bmi and keep it

11s is 24bmi

Any lower and at 30ys I looked gaunt - I got to 10-10 but couldn't keep it there

Princessandthepie · 04/12/2024 14:27

New jeans are tighter so now I have a constant wedgie! 🙄🤣

Time for new pants too!

It says 11st 5lbs would be 26.5, that's from Nutracheck, it won't let me change the goal weight down any further xx

@Princessandthepie did you strut your stuff with your new wedgie? Lol 😆 seriously how did you feel this morning? Xx

OP posts:
Princessandthepie · 04/12/2024 14:38

@NippyCrab I was so happy to be in size 16 jeans but the wedgie spoilt it! 🤣

NippyCrab · 04/12/2024 14:44

Haha, I bet you looked amazing! Xx

weaseleyes · 04/12/2024 14:44

I don't have the slightest fear about looking gaunt! I think a lot of the time that's just uncertainty about looking so different. I was pretty underweight as a teen, but I've been in no danger of looking gaunt since, whatever I've weighed. I'm more worried that I won't actually get to a healthy BMI because I'll have hideous rolls of flab and loose skin that will weigh tons. I noticed the other day that my shoulders looked a little more defined - exciting, because they are very rounded even when slimmer - but then my eye was inexorably drawn to my swinging bingo wings fluttering fleshily in the breeze. I've actually had dreams where I got to pull away the skin on my stomach like it was soft clay. It was both fantastic and stomach churning (literally!) at the same time 😀

lookathatbookcase · 04/12/2024 14:56

@Blondeshavemorefun oh those look great! thanks for being our test kitchen chef :)

NippyCrab · 04/12/2024 14:44

Haha, I bet you looked amazing! Xx

Certainly better than I did 4 months ago!!

4 months today since my first injection!

2 dress sizes down, 2 stones and 11lbs, still haven't had a drink in 4 months either!

🥳🥳

NippyCrab · 04/12/2024 15:35

That's brilliant! Feeling good in clothes is such an incentive.

@weaseleyes I'm possibly thinking the same way about being skinny. I don't just want it so badly but I need it for me and my self esteem. To know I've finally accomplished what I've failed at time and time again, I've never had continuity like this and I know its not just me and I've had a crutch, but it wouldn't work if I didn't work at it. To get to 11st and even in the 11's is going to be mega emotional for me. I was elated when I saw the 12st 13lbs.
That made me laugh so much about your arms 🤣 and I wish I could sculpt my belly like grabbing clay off!

Been quiet today as had an AWFUL night last night. I accidentally gave my son the wrong medication for his bedtime meds. (I know it's bad 😳 first time ever in nearly two years since he's been on them! And luckily it's not an overdose issue as he can be on a much higher dose.) I did still give him his melatonin but unfortunately his adhd meds must cause no sleeping as he fell asleep as normal at 9, then was awake by 10 and stayed that way until around 5/6am this morning 🥱🥱🥱

I kept him off school as I couldn't send him having 1 hours sleep but in typical adhd fashion he's still been bouncing off the walls today (especially as I didn't give him his meds this morning after giving him an extra one last night by accident!!) me on the other hand one hours sleep I've been less bouncy!!

weaseleyes · 04/12/2024 18:55

Poor you @owlyboo! It sounds like you were more harmed than him by the mistake!

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/12/2024 19:09

Oh @owlyboo I feel your pain. I look after a little boy 6 at night who is severely autistic and Ahad and some nights is literally awake all night

Or sleeps at 9 and awake 10. Or up at midnight and that's it

owlyboo · 04/12/2024 19:13

Thanks @weaseleyes I definitely was he literally still doesn't even seem tired now! That melatonin better work its magic tonight!!!

@Blondeshavemorefun yeah it's tough, I obviously wouldn't change him. Hes certainly a bundle of energy, he's just had his melatonin upped which (until last night!!) seems to helping so much! My son has adhd and is also on the waiting list to be assessed for autism it seems they do often go hand in hand!

Usernamechangeforthis12 · 04/12/2024 19:59

@WitchDancer happy birthday 🎁 hope you’ve had a lovely day.

@Blondeshavemorefun - sorry you’ve been having a rough time, but hope you’re feeling more positive now.

I’ll bet every one of us has story, and are fighting something, that’s how we got here. And Christmas, the end of the year is always thought provoking. Whether you’ve lost a loved one, relationship ended, or just not achieved all what you wanted to.
I’ve set myself to lose weight for more New Year’s resolutions than I can remember and finally, I can say that I’ve achieved it this year. Not quite where I’d like to be, but well on the way. I’ve also faced a challenge that I’ve needed to get answers from for probably my whole life, amazingly, it went better than I expected and I’m hopeful this can be built on.
next year, who knows, maybe I’ll finally force exP to leave the house.

@Princessandthepie - I have itchy patches where I inject. I’ve not inspected though, but will do and report back.
Great weight loss- I’m going to weigh tomorrow which will be 4 months for me! Hoping I’m similar.

@owlyboo -hope you both get a better nights sleep tonight. My DS (15) has just been diagnosed with autism but not ADHD, which really surprised me.

@Blondeshavemorefun - I’m still in all the same clothes despite an approx 3 stone loss. But to be fair, the clothes are joggers and elasticated pull ons. And baggy (baggier now) t shirts! I have a pair of pj bottoms which literally do now fall off me and I’ve tightened them with a hair band which is what I had to do when I bought them c2020.

I would really like to get to about 9&1/2 stone but don’t know if that’ll be possible. Probably not seen a 9 since pre-DCs, who are now all late teens.

My weight loss has really slowed, and I had done good noise so I increased my dose to 50 big clicks of my 5mg pen which I think is a massive 4.17mg? But, the sulphur burps have been back and I’ve struggled to eat anything the past couple of days, but feel light headed and dizzy. I may go back to 3.75mg next jab.

sorry to anyone I’ve missed…

NippyCrab · 04/12/2024 20:32

@Usernamechangeforthis12 I did the 4.17 last Friday and have hardly eaten and not felt great at all. I've got a pain in my side and back which i think is constipation again. I did 4mg the week before and I was okay, i mean how can such a small difference of one click make us feel like this? I'm tempted to go down again to 45 clicks 3.75. I want to get to goal without a plateau though xx
