Fuffedoff · 04/12/2024 21:29

Evening!

Has anyone kept up with measurements as well as their weights, since starting Mounjaro?

Up to date I am 3st 2lb/44lb/20kg down and 37 inch loss overall.

owlyboo · 04/12/2024 21:33

@Usernamechangeforthis12 it might be worth pursuing a diagnosis if you'd feel it helpful as one usually shows more than the other so gets diagnosed quicker

@NippyCrab thanks I think I've gone 'past it' so watching I'm a celebrity then I'll go up

@Fuffedoff I didn't measure, wish I did. Well
Done! Great losses!

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/12/2024 21:53

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. I've had a normal day to be honest, with a few presents thrown in. I've been given chocolate and liquorice - once I start nibbling them I really struggle to stop. Ahhhhh why do people do that when they know you're on a diet! It's done with love I'm sure, but it's still frustrating.

I've also been given jigsaws so hopefully that will keep me occupied and not nibbling Grin

owlyboo · 04/12/2024 22:04

Happy birthday @WitchDancer

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/12/2024 22:13

Just remembered I'm doing secret Santa Fri at school

Need to dig out my Xmas jumper

Snoopsteandcooper · 04/12/2024 23:10

It's my birthday today too! I've been away on holiday and got back this evening. I fear disaster, I've not been good at all. Ah well, got to have some fun, I'll get back on the wagon tomorrow! Hope you're all doing well xx

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/12/2024 23:41

Happy birthday @Snoopsteandcooper

CrazyGoatLady · 04/12/2024 23:53

Happy birthday @WitchDancer and @Snoopsteandcooper

@Blondeshavemorefun hope you find the Xmas jumper!

@Fuffedoff great NSV with your measurements!

I've been maintaining my weight between 66.5 and 67.5kg for around 4 weeks now, mostly been eating at maintenance calories and have begun to reduce my MJ dose.

I need to get working in the gym once I've recovered from this virus and got back from this week away with work stuff, as I am now noticing everything feels a bit...deflated! I bought these leather look skinny jeans for a works do, which I would never have worn in a million years before, and I love that they fit, but my bum REALLY does not have as much shape as it used to!

Motnight · 05/12/2024 07:40

@WitchDancer and @Snoopsteandcooper happy birthdays!

Motnight · 05/12/2024 07:49

I went out for my work team dinner yesterday. First challenge was the 80 or so stairs we had to climb up to get to the roof top bar. I managed it! Was out of breath by the top but honestly a few months ago I don't think that I could have hauled myself up at all. Im not doing as much exercise as I should so the being able to move up the stairs was all due to my weight loss.

Second challenge was the food. I chose what I wanted. Left about a third of the main course. Then the dessert arrived and I couldn't even start it. I wasn't over full or anything. Just saw the cheesecake and thought "what's the point?" Cheesecake given to a grateful colleague!

Very strange how the little things impact.

WitchDancer · 05/12/2024 07:58

@Snoopsteandcooper happy birthday, birthday twin!

Today I really need to get back on track otherwise what's the point of spending a flipping fortune on these jabs! My 10 arrives today but I won't start it just yet as I've my bonus dose to go.

Snoopsteandcooper · 05/12/2024 08:02

Hope you had a good one, birthday buddy @WitchDancer xx

WorriedRelative · 05/12/2024 08:10

So I got back into the country yesterday after a very long a tiring journey. First weigh in this morning.

It has been over two weeks since my last weigh in as I have had no scales. Although I have done quite a lot of walking I have eaten lots too, including lots of rice and noodles, I have drunk more calories than usual too, beer and things like fruit juice, smoothies etc. Probably haven't had enough water either.

That said I didn't eat as much as I would have without MJ so I am glad I stayed on it and didn't take a break.

So I was expecting a small gain based upon eating too much off set by more activity and taking into account clothes fit.

I've actually lost!!!!!!

Roughly a kilo, a bit over based upon my last pre-holiday weight (very early the day we left) or a bit under based upon my previous lowest weight a couple of days before.

So onwards, I will do a full 7.5mg on Monday, I have been click counting to avoid a big jump while away. Hopefully into the overweight not obese BMI by Christmas!

WorriedRelative · 05/12/2024 08:15

I've now lost just over two stone on MJ

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/12/2024 08:28

@Motnight well done for getting up the Stairs and refusing pudding

@WorriedRelative yah for loss

@CrazyGoatLady I can't find it anywhere

Obv in a safe place

Grrrrrrr. Was A cute reindeer as well

Annoying !!!!

Going to have to dash into town after school drop off and go and buy another

All helpers have to be in Xmas jumpers

Fuffedoff · 05/12/2024 08:50

Morning everyone!

It's quite mild here compared to yesterday, which was freezing. The weather is so bipolar.

I stepped on the scales this morning and I'm down to 109.8kg which means I'm down another '0' bracket.

I'm also only 4.8kg away from my first target weight (105kg). It feels so close now yet a teeny bit far away.

105kg was the maximum weight I wanted to be when TTC. I obviously want to lose a lot more and definitely have the reserves for it.

I did my second week of 10mg last Sunday and to be honest the past two weeks I've been floored in some ways.

There has been A LOT of suppression, but I'm not sure whether that's a good thing in my case.

I have gone off a lot of foods at the moment and there is nothing that appeals to me so I'm finding it hard to pick something to eat.

I wonder whether I should maybe drop down to 7.5mg again. I'm split, decision wise.

Ah, anyway. Off to work I go!

NippyCrab · 05/12/2024 09:42

Morning xx

@Snoopsteandcooper belated Happy Birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉

@Fuffedoff it's so strange looking at food you did eat and theres no notion now, I'm definitely struggling with meals. This week very much so because of a slight increase in dose. I've had a half banana already and I will make porridge, it's appealing after weeks of 🤢 at it.

@Blondeshavemorefun i think you will be having a NSV with your Christmas jumper purchase!

@WorriedRelative whoop! That's fantastic, and also that you enjoyed your holiday and the food without major suppression. X

@Motnight flip 80 stairs is a mountain to me haha, go you! I do feel the benefits of a lighter body when I'm using the stairs or faced with small hills on walks.

@CrazyGoatLady I hear you with the deflated bum! The more I lose it seems to be coming into balance with the rest of my body as it's deflating too 😂
Isn't it weird where the weight comes off first? It never leaves the area we most want it. At the moment when I lie down or sitting, I feel I've an odd jelly like mould for a belly. I've not had the Lucy and Yak dungarees on because I thought they looked strange with my bum. Sigh....

NSV

You were right @NippyCrab

couldn't find my Xmas jumper so had to dash into town to grab a new one as MUST wear them at secret Santa Tom at school

We help children buy pressies for 4 people they choose and wrap them etx

Anyway I had a really cute reindeer jumper I bought last year and couldn't find it

Went into charity's shops and only one xxxl which I was last year and tried it on and it was huge and looked stupid

OMFG

So I went to look for a xxl and none there. So tried a xl and was big and baggy

This didn't seem right to me so thought chance my luck and I tried on a large and still too big

No way !!!

Tried a M and bloody hell it fits and not too snug

Now seems I am not xxxl anymore , and sure I'm not actually a M but was such a good feeling getting into it

Found pic from last year and added todays as well

What do you think ?

Can I get away with a M and not look too squeezing into a small too tight size ?

Or should I have bought L

Dithers
