@KrankyKumquat I've been to a specialist bra place before and they say to get a good fit on a bra, the middle part should be flat on your ribcage. The back should be tight/fitted around your ribcage and the cup should fit over the breast well with no spillage of breast out of the cup(assuming a full cup bra!). Maybe got to a shop and try on different cup sizes and back sizes? If you think you're about a C, try on a B, C, D and go from there. Maybe try 32, 34, and 36? If your boobs seem bigger than the cup, go up a cup size until it fits!

Other thing with bras is you want it fitting well on the loosest clasp on the band. It'll stretch a bit as it gets older and then you can make it tighter. If you start on the tightest clasp you've nowhere to go. And you really want to lean over and make sure all your volume is in the cup. Scoop in all the side boob.

KrankyKumquat · 15/01/2025 17:31

@ObsidianTree so the middle bit isn't for stashing your mobile phone and a snack? 😅 No wonder mine are never comfy.
Can always rely on you lot for some expertise, thank you xx

Excuse the DM link but this is something I have experienced for about 3 months now. Anyone else?

I've had it on my foot, side and now round my bra strap. So painful I thought I had shingles!

But I wouldn't call it alarming. Just annoying 😑

This is quite interesting.

I have been referred to neurology for these types of symptoms.

I have constant numbness of varying degree. The pain that they mention based on heat/cold. My main symptom though is lhermitts sign.

I did ask the GP if he thought there was any chance this was caused by MJ he said no, because of the lhermitts.

My pain is awful. I've been sat crying because of it.

NextPrimeMinister · 15/01/2025 21:14

I had to Google that, my painful isn't sharp bursts, it's pretty constant like sunburn patches that stay for a week or so then fade away. But then turn up somewhere else.

Flapearedknave · 15/01/2025 21:31

I get both. One major pain was sunburn like pain across my chest for about 2 weeks.

I did take ozempic for about 6 months, and didn't have this.

I'd be very happy if it's linked, which might sound odd, but as I'm currently looking at a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis, this would be a better outcome! Seems the symptoms can be mitigated by lowering or stopping MJ.

YouAreEffluentKim · 15/01/2025 22:11

I'm unclear whether this has been found in Mounjaro as well as Ozempic. The article says in one paragraph that it has been seen in users of both, but the next paragraph says he hasn't seen it with Tirzepatide users. Mounjaro is Tirzepatide...

NextPrimeMinister · 15/01/2025 23:21

Yes, it does say not found in mj users yet, but I'm definitely experieing it. Who do I write to 😂

Snozzlemaid · 16/01/2025 00:10

You should report it here - Yellow card https://yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk

Thank you @KeepingUndercover
I think I'd be a smallish, maybe a C cup size, I've never been big-busted, just fat😅. Will try Boob or Bust to measure as a first step; other than M&S there's no measuring in person near me now the couple of department stores have gone.

Feeling a little bit silly now. Used Boob or Bust measuring tool and am 30FF... 🤦😅

Wonkypictureframe · 16/01/2025 11:09

My envy! I will never be a D cup. My boobs barely register. 😁

DesparatePragmatist · 16/01/2025 15:27

Another bra tip, which I've found so useful while losing weight. I recommend finding the make/style that works for you (Bravissimo really are good for this) and then using Vinted to get good condition bras of the same make in gradually decreasing sizes. That way you can keep in well-fitting bras without spending a fortune. In my world, Fantasie (every day) and Sweaty Betty (sports) are my friends; I started at a 36G and have come down to a 32E via every step in between at very little cost. When I'm confident I'm maintaining at a stable weight and size, in about 6 months maybe, I'll go back and get measured again and fork out for full price bras, but till then this works!

Haven't posted for ages but following along mostly. Just had my first pen that won't let me use the extra. Presume others have had this now?
On a mix of 10 and 12.5 at the moment because of side effects. Haven't listened to anything since Xmas eve now. Very frustrating- I'm such a slow loser.

Yes I had this with my last pen. The plunger inside just didn't move when I turned the dial. So annoying. I'm not keen on trying the needle extraction method.

YouAreEffluentKim · 16/01/2025 22:58

@KrankyKumquat snap! I'm also a 30FF as measured by Bravissimo the other week. In my mind I look positively flat chested! I've always had a big bust when heavier, as my boobs are quite wide but I lack volume. So now I'm smaller, they remain 'wide' but don't stick out so far so I feel very flat chested. Frankly, I'm loving it as clothes fit much better and I don't feel as frumpy when I'm dressed down in sweats etc

Smallsalt · 16/01/2025 23:47

Well my weird body shape confused boob or bust.
I have such a huge rib cage and broad shoulders.

I am 32 very tight round the band, 33 snug
It thinks I am a 32 EE.
I wasn't an E cup when I was 5stone heavier!

Currently wearing 36C perfect fit in multiple brands.

It also told me that band size should be no more than 20ins more than dress size, so 28 band if I have read it right.

My barrel chest has broken the calculator!

In other news, I am in the Mounjaro Bumless Anonymous club! 34 ins hips to be exact😂

KeepingUndercover · 17/01/2025 07:31

@Smallsalt that cup size on a 32 back isn't actually a massive amount of volume, so not huge boobs at all. It might not be right for you, I've never managed to get the calculations to work properly for me, but I think one of the reasons so many women wear the wrong size bra is because we think an E cup is comedy big boobs and it's really not on a small back size. I wear a 32G and it's a perfectly average looking size in real life. Page 3 is not beckoning for me.

Scalessayeek · 17/01/2025 09:14

Eating a little bit more during December seems to have given my metabolism the kick start it needed!

I've dropped 13 pounds in two weeks?! (That does include the Christmas weight mind). I haven't been this healthy since I was 7/8 years old. Nearly at 9 stone loss now.

KrankyKumquat · 17/01/2025 09:58

@KeepingUndercover
That makes sense. An FF cup sounds ginormous, I was wondering how come I don't look like Barbara Windsor. So...if a 30 strap is too tight, I should try a 32 strap and reduce cup to an E, I think if I've understood right.
Honestly, how have I got to this age and never sussed this out?

KeepingUndercover · 17/01/2025 10:30

@KrankyKumquat reduce to an F I think? That would be one cup down from FF. Also, much like all clothes, sizes can differ between brands so it's worth trying a different make if you're struggling.

Well done! That's an incredible loss in total. Are you where you want to be weight wise now?

Scalessayeek · 17/01/2025 11:40

@KeepingUndercover almost there, 9 stone 4 will take me to 12 stone. I'm then hoping to probably drop another 7 pounds slowly while I titrate down. But I'm fully expecting to put it on again at some point. I chose 12 stone so I could have half a stone either way and still be under 25 bmi ( I'm really tall so can carry a bit more weight!)

TimeIretired · 17/01/2025 14:37

@Femeia and @TryingToHelpBut i wasn’t keen on the needles but then I think well it’s that or throwing (c) £30+ in the bin and it definitely helped (#tightwad lol).
I’m currently using 8mm needles from Amazon but apparently there are 6mm which are only 2mm longer than the ones provided with the pens. I think you might be able to get similar medical grade ones from other suppliers too.

TryingToHelpBut · 17/01/2025 14:58

Have you got a link or supplier for the needles? I presume they are already sterile? I need to research how to do it for sure!
