@guestusername OMG my butt is totally the same!! ha! I haven't ever been that disappointed in my body changing but I must admit I caught glimpse last night getting out of the shower and its real bad! My friend told me I needed to start doing squats!

YouAreEffluentKim · 13/01/2025 12:15

Yup, horrible butt sag here too. My arse looks like it melted!

I have got to focus on exercise now. I'm going to have to dust off my old Shred dvd and take some punishment from Jillian Michaels. She's a bitch but she's effective

Well done ! 5!!! Wow !

I just tried to sign up to she med but it says my bmi doesn’t qualify now ! Sort of good - I can switch provider if I’ve been off it 28 days … tempting but I’d have to re gain weight so no !

She med said I "wasn't suitable" until I changed it to saying that I had never taken a GLP before.

Snozzlemaid · 13/01/2025 12:46

I'm suffering with the wrinkly shrunken bottom too.
I looked at mine last week and was pretty horrified at first.
But I need to remind myself that at least I'm much healthier now being 5 stone lighter.
I need to motivate myself to exercise I know. I hate exercise but can just about tolerate swimming so I need to get myself back in the pool.

KrankyKumquat · 13/01/2025 13:31

I have read, and everything is crossed that it's true, that skin can settle back after 6-12 months. I guess this depends on the level of elasticity and at 58, I'm not hugely optimistic for myself. I've got weird wrinkling around my belly button and top inside of thighs. Bum is smooth but v.flat, even small jeans and new knickers are a bit gappy. I'm thinking swimming will be a good option.... breast stroke leg and arm movement would, you imagine, work on the right areas.

KeepingUndercover · 13/01/2025 14:49

I've read that too @KrankyKumquat and am hopeful things will settle down. I've still got more to lose anyway so it's hard to tell at this point what's going on.

TimeIretired · 13/01/2025 18:15

Started a new 15mg pen on Saturday. Been on this dose for at least 4 pens. However really noticing the suppression this week. Anyone else notice a difference with some pens? They are all the same manufacturer and expiry date. Very strange!

Choux · 13/01/2025 19:41

I haven't looked but from feeling my bum I too am a fully paid up member of the Saggy Butt Club!

Squats while cleaning my teeth twice a day (doesn't take any extra time) is all I've done so far. I too think if I up my activity then the fat and skin might redistribute / settle / shrink / look less empty as time goes by and I build muscle. But as others have said I'm healthier at this weight and my bum didn't look good when it was twice the size so...

Thebaldprimadonna · 13/01/2025 20:34

Saggy Bum Club here too! Just started a Cardio Tone schedule on the Zumba app, so will try to hoist it back up a bit 😁

Scalessayeek · 13/01/2025 20:49

I'm here to say part of the saggy bum club. My poor dad's partner bought me some "tightening" cream which of course did bugger all. He was annoyed he'd paid £20 for a 50ml tub. Had to say to him "Dad, when your arse resembles a sharpei there's not much that will save it"

Wonkypictureframe · 13/01/2025 20:56

I have requested a bum programme from my PT this year. I hate having such a bony arse.

FlappyFish · 14/01/2025 07:36

Same here. No longer a member of chub club. More like saggy need bulldog clips club.

I have maintained for four months now and with Pilates, swimming and weights my skin is still adjusting back. It has improved.

What’s the expiry date on yours? I have August 25, and not seeing much suppression with this batch, sadly.

What do you mean by manufacturer, though? Aren’t they all Eli Lilly-manufactured?

TimeIretired · 14/01/2025 08:45

@Chucklesisters yes August 2025 here too. Couldn’t remember the name of the manufacturer when I typed and wasn’t 100% that other ones were now on the scene. I’ve been up and down with suppression but really noticing it this time. Good job really as I’ve been faffing around with the same weight all thru Xmas and with another 2-3 stones still to lose (4.3 already gone) I need to get my head in gear and buckle down!

Thanks Smallsalt. It’s because my bmi is too low to start now - it’s 28 but because it’s not over 30 I guess I’m not ok to start it, I was wanting to switch providers . I think I need to look at maintenance plans (I have a way to go but seem to get sick above 10)

Eli lily weight loss pill could be out next year. This would be great if it's cheaper and works well for maintenance.

Weirdly, I prefer needles to a pill that I might vomit up or which might wreck my stomach lining. Will read the trial data to see patient interactions

DesparatePragmatist · 14/01/2025 18:21

Also checking into the Saggy Bum (and stomach, thighs and upper arms, and jowls/chin 😩) Club! Weirdly, I STILL look better than I did pre-sag and carrying 22kg of flab. Definitely seconding doing proper exercise, which I only really got going on in September, but have been going to the gym 4x week for body conditioning and strength classes and it is making a noticeable difference - not to the skin sag, but to what's underneath. I look more shapely and toned despite the extra skin, so anyone hesitating, I'm cheering you on. I will hold onto the thought that my skin might adjust back properly over a year, which would be lovely, and am sloshing on the skin firming lotions, but in my 50s am realistic that this might be a relic of my chubbier days that I'm stuck with.

spamm · 14/01/2025 19:50

@Scalessayeek @Choux @Chucklesisters @Thebaldprimadonna and others - I too am in the saggy, flappy skin club, but I can confirm that, while it may not disappear, it definitely does improve.

I am now 1 year+ in my MJ journey (first dose was on 12 Jan) and the saggy bits on my arms and on my neck are improving. I do Pilates twice a week and some yoga and lots of walking, and my skin is definitely better. My bum and my tummy still look strange, but my arms and my neck have contracted somewhat and I hope it continues. I am working on it, anyway.

Still losing, albeit slowly, and my measurements continue to improve too. However, I am on 12.5 and I do find that I am getting hungry by the end of a dose. I really need to focus on bulking up my portions with nice fruit and veg to fight that. And continue to drink my water, which has been a challenge from day 1.

Flapearedknave · 14/01/2025 20:18

NSV Here!

Buying 'one size fits all' tights, and they fit! And go too baggy after one wear 🙌🏼

KrankyKumquat · 15/01/2025 12:15

@Everyone
Moving on from the saggy bottom conversation of a couple of days ago, any advice on bra measuring and purchase? I know I could go to M&S for both, but last time I did this it was a disaster and I ended up wasting my money on a bra which was incredibly uncomfortable and effectively unwearable. So I'm thinking of trying online but don't know who to start with.

I don't wear a bra most of the time as WFH and live in scruffs so not looking to spend a disproportionate amount of money but need a decent bra for 'special occasions'. Cheers buddies.

KeepingUndercover · 15/01/2025 14:44

Have you a rough idea what cup size you might be @KrankyKumquat? I've always liked Bravissimo and got refitted by them recently. They actually do online appointments too. But they are for D+. My current bras from them are Fantasie brand, which has always worked well for my particular boob type. I did try John Lewis once but the woman there was very unhelpful about my boobs being slightly different sizes and made me feel like a freak. Whereas Bravissimo were just "oh yes, that's very normal of course, you just need this sort of style instead".

I know MN always recommends the Boob or Bust measuring calculator, but I've never managed to get my measurements to equate to a useful bra size on that. I blame my measuring technique tbh, I think I must just be doing it wrong. That could give you an idea of what size to be looking for.

KrankyKumquat · 15/01/2025 15:10

Thank you @KeepingUndercover
I think I'd be a smallish, maybe a C cup size, I've never been big-busted, just fat😅. Will try Boob or Bust to measure as a first step; other than M&S there's no measuring in person near me now the couple of department stores have gone.

IrisPallida · 15/01/2025 15:16

Start with Boob or Bust. Most women if correctly measured would be D+ - any less and you probably got measured at M&S who always get it wrong.

I was interested to note last time I was in M&S buying a slip that they now have walls and walls of unwired bras. (Oh yes, and one tiny weeny section for cups bigger than D!!) This is because they measure people so incorrectly and put them in huge bands and tiny cups that they end up believing that they cannot wear underwired bras at all.

You can also get measured in John Lewis.

I'd really recommend going to a bra specialist. We have a brilliant lingerie shop where I live and the woman who owns it is a genius with boobs!
