@Azuresky68 hi! I’m on 10mg too! It’s been unremarkable so far, no side effects. I had a consistent rate of weight loss too, whereas on the lower doses I stalled towards the end. How are you finding it? I am in a habit of increasing my dose each month so have 12.5mg in the fridge but I can always use less if needed ☺️

@Belle96 I’m in my 20s too and have noticed hair loss. I have also been super stressed due to work, so that’s a compounding factor. I’m not too concerned because it’s likely to be telogen effluvium (increased temporary shedding) as opposed to permanent hair loss. You can tell the difference if the hair that’s coming out, has a bulb of skin at the root? If not, the follicle should be unaffected.

I have started taking collagen, biotin and using Rosemary scalp oil which my hairdresser recommended. I had blood tests too which were normal, but worth requesting in case any vitamins are low ☺️

Such a busy week last week, have got pages and pages to catch up on here, I’ll have a read through this evening.

Forgot to weigh yesterday, so did it this morning. Wasn’t sure what to expect, it’s been a good week in terms of very little side effects, but I’d have said the suppression was only light so wasn’t sure I’d see a loss. Got on the scales this morning and I’m 4.6lbs down! Feeling fab after a STS the week before. Plus I’ve crossed into another bracket: weight now starts with a 13 (just).

Starting Weight: 17st 7lbs
Current Weight: 13st 13.2lbs

Total Loss: 3st 7.8lbs

Happy Monday everyone, hope you all have a fabulous week 🙂

MabelSpan · 25/11/2024 09:58

Good morning everybody!

Hope you are feeling better today @Blondeshavemorefun

Its weigh day and jab day for me, cant believe it is the start of week 16!
I am doing my 4th week on 4.25mg as its working well and this has been my first week with no miserable side effects.

SW 20st 3lbs 14th Aug 24
CW 17st 9.4lbs 25th Nov 24
WL -2.2lbs 25th Nov 24
Ave wkly loss -2.4lbs

I am still amazed at the way MJ has completely switched off the food noise/cravings for me. Whilst I had lost 5st on the Fast 800 Diet about 10 years ago, since becoming Peri, I have been crippled by food noise and each attempt to lose weight failed within 2-3 weeks as the noise and self desctruction utterly consumed me.
And whilst I have had some bad times on MJ it has been and is worth it, as I am still here and still losing after 15 weeks!

Keep on keeping on August gang! We are smashing this!😀

Azuresky68 · 25/11/2024 10:19

Such fabulous weight losses - congratulations and well done to all! @eeeeeeeee i am only on 2nd dose of 10 but suppression is highest I have had...struggling to eat. I went on holiday and decided not to get weighed for a week but definitely feeling slimmer and I can get into clothes pre my recent sneaky weight gain of a stone that crept up on me!! Undecided about going up any further. Will report back! Good luck to everyone xx

NippyCrab · 25/11/2024 10:31

Morning all, @Blondeshavemorefun i hope you feel better this morning.

@MabelSpan omg whoop at your loss, and for the no side effects xx

@ChunkyMunky flipping Nora that's brilliant! And the next stone bracket!!

This may sound a strange thought, has anyone not been as enthusiastic about the festive season than normal? I thought it was maybe because it's the first anniversary of MIL passing at Christmas but we did say we will try and be as festive as normal. I was thinking it was MJ and the dopamine effect. Xx

Weightlossjabber · 25/11/2024 10:32

Also an August mounjaro starter

Sw: 13st
CW 10st 1lb (so close!)
5ft 3
In my 40s

Side effects: bad fatigue now mostly gone, very mild nausea in the early couple of days, green diarrhoea 😩2 days after 5mg x2 none since. Slight acne as my pill is slower to metabolise (pcos).

Also, improved sleep, not snoring, no apnoea now. Less back and leg pain. Walking much easier. Feel so much better and healthier. Look healthier.

Very scared to come off. I cant yoyo back up again my body and mind can't take it.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/11/2024 10:51

@Timetofindme that's how i feel. Been on 10 for a month now so not sure why been so queasy and sick and runny poos 🙀🥲🤮

I still feel queasy today but thank god my botty is ok

I don't want to eat at all. This again must be the wonderful suppression i hear so much about

Didnt eat yesterday apart from brioche which came back up again.

I know I need to eat but I just can't face anything

Is this mj or a bug ?

Going to try a protein milkshake in a mo so something in my stomach

Thank you all for my well wishes

This is so not like me

I'm not sure what to eat tonight.

Scrambled eggs which I usually love is a def 🤮

Seems really weird that after a month on 10 that I feel this bad - as someone said maybe it's built up into my System

Med express did query me staying on same dose and not move to 12.5 but I said I'm having losses and suppression so staying another month.

So another 10 arrived today and I have 6 needles. Usually get 4

Not sure if they are giving out more now as they know some split doses /use bonus as a 5th

But always good to have extra

I will go and read and catch up

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/11/2024 10:56

@eeeeeeeee can't think of any patterns at all. I def don't eat grapes at the moment 😂

@ChunkyMunky fab loss esp after sts so you must be chuffed

@eeeeeeeee I will not be going on 12.5 - my first month of sticking on same dose of 10

@Azuresky68 you sounds same as me. Finally having suppression at 10

@MabelSpan well done on loss

@NippyCrab how's pup ?

@Weightlossjabber fab you are so close to your goal. Well done

OP posts:
eeeeeeeee · 25/11/2024 11:13

@Azuresky68 congrats, that sounds good. Hope you enjoy your holiday!! I don’t really feel different on 10mg than I did on 5mg or 7.5mg. The strongest suppression I had was my first day on 5mg, that didn’t feel good! Could barely get a coffee down, but luckily that subsided quickly!

@Blondeshavemorefun ahh yes sounds like a good plan not to increase at this stage. I think it sounds like a bug. At least we can rule out grapes this time 😆I think stick to super bland foods like bread or yogurt or some fruit. Do you still have those electrolyte drinks?

eeeeeeeee · 25/11/2024 11:15

Also today my BMI is officially under 25! It’s 24.9 lol

I still have a bit more to go on my journey. Currently my body fat percentage is 30% and I want to give myself a bit more leeway for maintenance. So will keep lurking in these threads! Long may they continue 🙂

owlyboo · 25/11/2024 11:48

Happy Monday all.

Well done on all the NSVS and weight loss.

I feel AWFUL today! Literally feel like a have a raging hangover (I didn't drink so it isn't that!!) feel sick and super tired. So no walk so far today which I'm gutted about as I've missed my walks this weekend with the weather being so 💩 currently summoning the energy to do the jobs I need to get done 🥱🥱🥱

MabelSpan · 25/11/2024 11:52

I am proud to report that I have successfully syringed my bonus dose of 0.51mls, 4.25mg as intended! No more syringing cock ups for me!😃

@ChunkyMunky Amazing loss, well done!

@NippyCrab Yes! One of the side effects I am having on MJ is not only food supression but mood/emotional supression. Whilst it isnt dark or low anymore, I am not remotely into Christmas so far this year, usually I am like Tigger and love the run up, but this year, not really given it a thought. Its very odd. I am hoping this side effect does wear off as I feel like my mood has been dampened down to a constant kind of flat. I want my inner Tigger back!😊Any change with your girl?

@Blondeshavemorefun Sorry you are still feeling poorly, its not nice at all. Weirdly, I have found a can of Kombucha helped me settle my tummy when I was feeling bad and not wanting to eat, also a mug of bovril to sip on. Hope you manage to find something you fancy to eat and feel better soon. I agree, definitely dont go up a dose.😊

@eeeeeeeee Thats so good, well done on being officially healthy!😊

@owlyboo Sorry you are feeling awful and hope you improve as the day goes on.😊

weaseleyes · 25/11/2024 11:56

Hugs to poorly humans and dogs, big congrats to losers, and a special hooray for non-overweight @eeeeeeeee! Amazing news!

MargoLivebetter · 25/11/2024 12:06

Some amazing progress reported. @4pink1blue what a transformation - that is tremendous.

I honestly can't keep up with all the news, but well done to everyone for still being here, whether you are losing, plateauing or having a wobble. So much great support on this thread.

I'm 1.5lb down this week. I've plotted my trajectory and even with my slow loss, unless anything goes horribly wrong, I should reach my goal by the end of the 1st week of January, so only 6 and a bit weeks away. That will have been starting at 13.3 and reaching 10.6, which will be a BMI of 23.4. I think if my calculations are correct that will be a total of 39lbs over 21 weeks, which means an average of 1.8lb per week. This will be the longest and slowest diet I will have ever done and that is something I am really pleased about. I have never evaluated my approach to food and eating as much as over the last 3 months. I am really hoping that I will have some good habits to hold on to, as well as a much better idea of what amount of food I need to eat to maintain weight.

Onwards, onwards we go. I hope the people feeling rough today feel better soon.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/11/2024 12:07

@eeeeeeeee amazing you are at goal and as we said to think @CrazyGoatLady who is also at goal - stay on the thread ans let us know how manage to maintain and cope with -without mj

@owlyboo sounds like me. Tired and queasy and can't eat

@MargoLivebetter yah for loss and even better neatly at Goal

@MabelSpan I've managed a cup of black tea and a vanilla protein shake so fingers crossed both stay down

As I don't usually get suppression what do people eat when they don't want to eat but know they need to

OP posts:
owlyboo · 25/11/2024 12:10

Eugh sorry we're in the same boat @Blondeshavemorefun !! I'm currently sat on my stairs taking yet another break from cleaning... fear these jobs will take me HOURS!!! Just had pretty horrific 💩 so pretty sure it's probably something I've picked up. Only managed two ginger biscuits so far today... need to go food shopping but think a little Sainsbury's pit stop until I hopefully feel better tomorrow 🤞

MabelSpan · 25/11/2024 12:23

@Blondeshavemorefun I have never had supression so bad that it has made me unable to eat. I can always eat and finish my meals. Supression for me has been being satisfied with my meal, not over eating just for the sake of it or because something tasted fab, like my roast potatoes the other day, previously I would have scoffed the lot but I didnt and it was easy not to. Its also the no desire for any snacking.
When I did my mega dose all I could manage was mugs of bovril, kombucha, clear whey drinks, Nairns stem ginger biscuits, slices and cooked chicken or turkey and eventually porridge with some nuts and seeds.

lookathatbookcase · 25/11/2024 12:26

@Blondeshavemorefun Agreeing with @MabelSpan - protein shakes, kombucha, 'brothy' soups, roast chicken, porridge pots have all been good in heavy suppression. Also - tho it might seem counterintuitive - I've found that super-bland stuff is actually worse then because it just feels like eating wallpaper paste. I've done best with things with a good savoury 'umami' flavour, that are actually tasty.

MabelSpan · 25/11/2024 12:32

Agree with @lookathatbookcase brothy soups are fab, I really need to make a big batch of chicken soup and freeze some. I add cacao powder to my porridge sometimes, its nutrient dense (then I add sugar and ruin it a bit lol) and super choclatty! (is that even a word!😁)

MargoLivebetter · 25/11/2024 12:32

@Blondeshavemorefun also add my recommendation for protein shakes. Only way I managed to get enough protein and calories in during those first awful early weeks.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/11/2024 12:47

@MabelSpan I've always eaten 3 meals and not had this full feelings apart from the odd meal and I've mentioned it on here

@owlyboo sod the housework. I'm in bed watching tv till school run

@lookathatbookcase what is a brothy soup ? Stock and veg ?

@MargoLivebetter that's what I've had. A vanilla ready made protein shake

Ready made tho costlier taste better and not the powdery taste I get if I make

OP posts:
Weightlossjabber · 25/11/2024 12:49

I forgot one of the main side effects that thankfully only lasted 1 day...sulphur burps! Awful. Not eaten eggs since, May never eat them again.

Mints helped. Glad it stuck it out though as it all passed in the end.

lookathatbookcase · 25/11/2024 13:33

@Blondeshavemorefun Yep, I guess clear soups with little chunks of veg & protein, rather than blended or creamy; kind of like Vietnamese pho or chicken noodle.

owlyboo · 25/11/2024 14:03

Just finished it @Blondeshavemorefun took so much longer than usual. Unfortunately I get bad allergies if I don't dust enough! So i can't win!! And I'm busy the next few days so would be sneezing got England if I didn't get it done today.
