blondes Yes, I do - it's easy to chuck it all in the blender and just drink it down. I do like porridge and yoghurt and overnight oats and all that, but I can't always face making/eating a lot in the mornings, and this is really quick. Probably not the ideal thing to do forever, but needs must right now...

Another NSV I've noticed is that some yoga poses are a bit easier now there isn't quite so much tummy to contend with!

owlyboo · 07/11/2024 16:34

Congrats @eeeeeeeee it might just be you need to tone up in those areas?

Great NSV @OnTheBounce

Can't believe it's Friday again already tomorrow!

NippyCrab · 07/11/2024 16:36

@Blondeshavemorefun it's only got the option of Kcals I'll need to have a look at how to change it if it's not right. I did have a huge breakfast though, I've attached the pics. Xx the morrisons greengrocers are seeds.

@owlyboo fab autumn 📸

@eeeeeeeee omg 😲 well done 👏 you are are nearly there 💪🙌🥳

@troppibambini6 how dare he put his hands on her that's awful! She sounds like her mind is set, hope he stays away. Personal alarm for her. X

@FlappingMadly i need to invest in a bullet or a ninja processor. I do have a can't remember its name one, I'll dig that out. I used to make smoothies, I hated cleaning it.

@OnTheBounce slow and steady is good, I am similar. I found too with my water intake high my weight loss is more consistent. I bought the vimto clear whey yesterday to help me drink.

Fab loss @Arraminta and good luck with the 7.5mg, I hate the dark months.

Changinghabits1973 · 07/11/2024 16:52

@Blondeshavemorefun yes, Omezparole or how it's spelt !!

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/11/2024 18:29

@NippyCrab sorry. If you find kcal easier - I do the other one

But I'm a lb And oz girl
Not g and kg

Old school 😂😂

I've ordered one of these so will try shaking my water tomorrow

amzn.eu/d/fKHrxEa

Using blender is fab for milkshake but not for protein water @OnTheBounce

Omeprezole should def help

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 07/11/2024 18:32

I have def been hungry today. Jab tomorrow

Hoping for a lb loss as that seems to be my weekly thing regardless

Reached my protein levels

And another NSV

Saw another friend and she was omg

Look at your legs. So skinny

You are wasting away.

I said not really but thanks

Still got a good 3s + to lose

I still look at me in the mirror and don't really see the difference - I'm not a smaller size in clothes tho jeans getting baggier but not fall off me

Think I must have seriously stretched my sizes !!

@owlyboo love your photos. I've been making an effort to walk more - Tuesday I walked to meeting, yesterday I walked to meet a friend for coffee then in the evening to a friends house, and today I walked to the hairdresser. I live in such a nice place, but the sea and a river but it is too tempting to jump in the car. I also noticed I've been walking faster. I am usually more of an ambler but on Monday a friend complained that I was going at too fast a pace.

@troppibambini6 well done on your daughter's decision, she's instantly lost 12 stone of useless flab - and not even on MJ Grin
@Blondeshavemorefun I think it is really difficult for us to see our own losses and the impact on our bodies (and for me similarly the gains!). We see ourselves moment by moment. Every time we go for a pee and see our thighs, or put make up on and see our double triple chins in the mirror, or see our bellies large and floating in the bath (all these examples relate to my own feelings). Ounce by ounce the girth is going, but I can't see it, and I'm still bombarded with my own negative self talk. How amazing that your friend could see the impact and remind you how far you have come on this journey.

owlyboo · 07/11/2024 19:26

Ah lovely to have the compliments @Blondeshavemorefun my friend just left and she said how lovely and slim I'm looking and she's not one to hand out compliments Willy nilly! I'm sure you look very different it's just difficult to see it in yourself. Have you tried taking an old photo and placing it side by side with a recent one? Even if it's just your face?

@20bloodypounds well done. Funny you should say that (embarrassingly) my mum was walking much faster than me a few months ago (to be fair she's super fit/taller and a fast walker naturally) and last week on our walk she had to ask me to slow down! She said I had got much faster!

Arraminta · 07/11/2024 20:04

troppibambini6 · 07/11/2024 13:33

@Arraminta it's so hard isn't it?

He shoved her during an argument. I literally wanted to go and kill him Angry

Oh my fucking God! I would have detonated like a nuclear bomb! Thank goodness she's cut him loose. She's doing the very best thing in getting busy and filling up her new life. DD is at university too, so luckily was able to tap into lots of social stuff which was a brilliant distraction.

Arraminta · 07/11/2024 20:08

Yay for flatter tummy's especially when sat down! That's the last to go!*

Hate to break this to you, but I've had an extended tummy tuck and still have a tummy roll when I sit down. But standing up straight my tummy is flat and taut! Other tummy tuckers on a FB group reported the same phenomena. Where does it come from???? And where does it disappear to???.

SilverSprings510 · 07/11/2024 20:11

Checking in! Gosh, thread 8 page 2 already… can’t keep up! Hope you’re all well.

weaseleyes · 07/11/2024 20:23

Gah! I went to inject and the pen has stuck without giving me the full dose. It’s 5 mg and I was going for a mighty 53 clicks/4.3 - having been building back up to it 🙄Anyway, most went in but then it stuck level with the 0 but with I think one turn left. Is that 10 clicks to go do you think? I can use a syringe for the rest but not sure how much to draw to make total dose up to 4.3

NippyCrab · 07/11/2024 20:31

@Blondeshavemorefun I'm so confused it doesn't take much 😂 i assumed calories and Kcals were the same thing ffs. I bet that there's a significant different in your body, you just can't see it in yourself 😘

@Arraminta my tummy is bulbous and I can grip it and shake it lol. It's definitely looser but I think it's looking huge because I'm slimming around it. It will be the very last to go if it does. I would love some lipo or a tummy tuck, i hate my stomach.

@FlappingMadly I'm off to purchase something 😊

@owlyboo it's lovely when people start to notice, we visited a family member yesterday and she didn't immediately say anything but kept looking. She finally said have you lost weight? I said yep, she asked how much and I said 2 stone and 2 to go and she asked and how did you do it? Just healthy eating etc, and that was that lol. I think expecting a compliment was too much 🤣

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/11/2024 20:36

Thanks @20bloodypounds

@FlappingMadly omfg. £150 for a whizzy thing

@owlyboo yes done the photo thing from when I started and last week so 3mths

Really don't see much diff 🥲

I know there must be as now quite a few have said about me losing weight esp the old biddy - dearie bless her

Those who don't see me daily notice or more then Say school mums

@troppibambini6 dd is only 7 but when older and if same happened as to your dd

I would want to rip his balls off !!!

@weaseleyes I'm not sure sorry - but

According to the chart - 48 clicks is 4 out of a 5 pen

4 clicks is .3 of a 5 pen

So that's 52 clicks so I think you are at the right amount

OP posts:
weaseleyes · 07/11/2024 20:38

Thanks @Blondeshavemorefun but the issue was that although I turned the pen to 53 clicks, I couldn't depress the plunger all the way. It stopped short - at one rotation of the pen to go. So I think I've only had 43 clicks. I was trying to work out what dosage the further ten clicks would be. I don't want to do a mabelspan!

owlyboo · 07/11/2024 20:42

@Arraminta that's why I said 'flatter' 😂 I don't think many people do have a completely flat stomach when sat down as even if your tiny your skin will still fold I suppose.

@NippyCrab it'll go down eventually, I'm sure 🤞 well the fact she was staring and asked id take as a compliment... people are weird about weight and carry their own issues and insecurities!! Also your calories looked pretty correct to me so I googled it and they are the same:

'everyday language, the terms “calories” (capitalized or not) and “kcal” are used interchangeably and refer to the same amount of energy in relation to food or energy burned with exercise. Therefore, you don't need to convert them, as 1 kcal equals 1 calorie in general nutrition terms.'

I'm sure it's just your eyes @Blondeshavemorefun if others have noticed it's 100% noticeable !! Just so hard to see in yourself and you see yourself day in day out!

FlappingMadly · 07/11/2024 20:44

When you count clicks is it after priming the needle?

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/11/2024 20:45

Yes 10 clicks would be .4 of a 5 oen

@NippyCrab they are diff. Look at this protein yog for example

Cals 149 or kj 634

So if I was 1300 a day my jog is just over 10% of cals for the day

But if you did kj instead kj but still doing 1300 a day that's almost 50%

Does that make sense or have I now confused my self as well as you

Sure you said you have 1000/1200 a day ish

FlappingMadly · 07/11/2024 20:44

Yes, it is.

Ok, I think I've worked it out as 10 on the syringe. Am a little worried given my sensitivity! And I guess I'll have to use syringes for the whole pen now.

owlyboo · 07/11/2024 20:47

@Blondeshavemorefun but @NippyCrab isn't counting in kj she's counting in kcal. They're two different units

FlappingMadly · 07/11/2024 20:47

Loving the nails @Blondeshavemorefun

Arraminta · 07/11/2024 20:55

NippyCrab my tummy was the same. Just handful after handful of flubber. But I had 2 c-sections within 13 months and ended up with an umbilical hernia + 4 inch muscle separation.

My plastic surgeon told me that the registrars who did my c-sections should have been struck off because they hadn't bothered to stitch my stomach muscles back together, at all. And my c-section scar was hideous, very lumpy and raised.

Now, my TT scar looks like it's been drawn on with a very fine, silver pencil.

Ah

Totally ignore me then

In my defence I'm blonde 😂😂

Thanks about nails. Need doing next week once dd back at school
