@weaseleyes This proper made me laugh just now - - but I heroically managed a second wee this morning to get an extra one off 😆

Not had the best week with shitty news so the thread and you smashing lot have been a breath of fresh air this morning! I'm 2 lb off and the scales this morning say 15.02 ---- Sooo close to that 14 😄

Changinghabits1973 · 22/11/2024 15:11

Afternoon all - happy Friday !!

Been a bit quiet past couple of days have been so flipping busy with different meetings and driving around the country, but just wanted to say before i go back over the thread in more detail HUGE CONGRATS to everyone that have lost from their weigh days today; HUGE congrats to all of you that have had NSV and all HUGE CONGRATS to all who are nearly seeing their next downwards weight bracket - we all need to be so proud of ourselves;

CrazyGoatLady · 22/11/2024 16:14

@AuntieDote for maintenance just switched over to Oushk and plan to taper down my dose over the next 3 months. I've been on 5mg, then gone down to 4 (by counting clicks) I'll do 2x3mg doses out of my current pen, then will be down to 2.5mg weekly, then 2.5mg fortnightly and we'll see how things are from there. Oushk do their £20/month plan where you can stay on their books and access support and be re-prescribed if needed so I think that's what I'll transition to after the fortnightly dose and see how it goes. I don't necessarily want to be on it forever, but I have seen that tapering is sensible and less likely to result in a sudden and major return of uncontrollable appetite. It will hopefully get me used to having a little less suppression gradually rather than a sudden return of lots of food noise.

FlappingMadly · 22/11/2024 16:24

Hi, feeling rubbish. DD’s best friend’s mum has Covid so I’m hoping it’s not that.
Jab day today. I went up to around 7 - 54 clicks of 7.5. Hope that will keep me as I am now. Appetite controlled but no nasty side affects.
I’ve dropped another kg so happy with that. My face and neck is starting to see the impact. Have any of you changed your creams? Serums? I’m open to all suggestions. I picked up Fillorga travelling which is pretty good but need something hardcore and moisturising.
I’ll catch up on all of you ASAP. Have’s great weekend!

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/11/2024 16:26

@weaseleyes well done on your loss - I'm at a v similar stage - 1 lb down today puts me at 11 st 8 and I was hoping to be in the 10s by Xmas, but its not looking that likely !

I've been averaging 1.5 lb per week so possible if I get a couple of good weeks.

My GW is 10 st which will put me just inside the healthy BMI range . I'll reassess at that point so see if I want to aim for another 1/2 stone. I'd rather settle at a level i feel i can sustain and enjoy food again rather than always struggling to maintain.

Currently on 5mg , with good suppression so will decide next week if i want to go up to 7.5

Changinghabits1973 · 22/11/2024 17:32

@Blondeshavemorefun sorry i just thought it was funny when i was reading your post so had to reply that considering everyone (bar myself!!!) is in the Christmas mood !!!

On a serious note though, well done - I suppose Med Express are emailing you to look after you and your welfare; I hope you are ok though !

owlyboo · 22/11/2024 17:32

Well done @Blondeshavemorefun on weight and price match!

Well done @weaseleyes yes agreed with hair it's not the MJ it's any significant weight loss.

@AuntieDote remember we only ever post photos on social media where we think we look nice or at least okay! I'm sure you're looking fab. And I get having the same again to go must be daunting but you've lost the first half in just over three months and that's the hardest half as in it's hard to notice, you still feel bigger etc. the next half with be wonderful, finding your shape again, feeling healthier and looking better! You've got this! 💪

@lookathatbookcase that's brilliant! Well done

Well done @AdeloreSmore sorry about the shitty news

@FlappingMadly hope you feel better soon!

Weigh day for me tomorrow 🤞

Changinghabits1973 · 22/11/2024 17:36

@owlyboo Some motivational words and inspiration there on your last post - same apples to me, very nearly at 4st and whilst yes i am starting to notice a bit but knowing that ideally i would like to lose another 5st i have taken on board what you say about the next half will feel like you're shaping up - hope you're ok and fingers crossed for weigh in tomorrow x @AuntieDote we've got this !! xx

owlyboo · 22/11/2024 17:40

Ah I'm glad it helped @Changinghabits1973 and it's really true. Every next stone you lose will be like wow who's that sexy lady in the mirror!! I'm sure of it. As ultimately you'll be moving through sizes you haven't dreamed of in years!! Be that an 18, 16, 14 and so on, if you haven't been used to seeing those sizes, shopping in mainstream shops on the high street with ease they will all feel like little victories. As well as obviously the physical aspects. Having more to lose than some of us sucks in some ways but the benefits you will be feeling will completely be immense!

Changinghabits1973 · 22/11/2024 17:51

Ah you're a lovely lady! @owlyboo
I'm innit for the long haul.. started in August and I gave myself a year so am truly committed after working out finances etc.. 9 more months to lose 5 stone, I think that's doable but we will see.. depends on gains, stay the same and plateaus but I honestly can't put anymore of myself into this journey - I've totally changed my eating and am exercising (swimming and aqua) at least 3 if not 4 times a week.. so what my body does is down to my body ! Xx

owlyboo · 22/11/2024 17:56

You should be very proud of yourself @Changinghabits1973 and I will definitely stick around after I hopefully reach my goal and I want to be there to celebrate every single one of you do the same (I still have over a stone until target anyway but you know what I mean... eventually!)

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/11/2024 19:33

Yes even once someone has hit their goal weight they should stay on here and let us know how they ads maintaining

OP posts:
owlyboo · 22/11/2024 19:34

@Blondeshavemorefun I think it'll also help everyone stay accountable and maintain a little easier 🤞

Changinghabits1973 · 22/11/2024 19:44

Can I ask you lovely lot for some help.. if I wanted to do 8, 9 or 10 from my 7.5mg pen, how much do I need for syringe method and / or clicks? I would rather do it the first way if possible to only inject the once but any help would be so greatly received and appreciated xx

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/11/2024 20:04

8 so .5 - would be 4 clicks or .04 with syringe

9 so1.5 - would be 12 clicks or .12 with syringe

10 so 2.5 - would be 20 clicks or .20 with syringe

This is on top of the usual 7.5 dose

OP posts:
Changinghabits1973 · 22/11/2024 20:37

So whatever strength pen I have the normal dose 0.6ml is that right from syringe? So if I wanted to do 9, I would syringe .8 in total ? Sorry if I'm being thick !

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/11/2024 20:57

Yes normal dose is .6

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 22/11/2024 21:02

.2 would be an extra 2.5 as it's a 1/3 of the pen so would be 10 not 9

OP posts:
poppym12 · 22/11/2024 21:05

I don't post very often but I do read everything when I can. Great to hear such positivity. Finally seeing those pounds shift is great isn't it?

I've now lost 15kg. I've still got at least as much to lose again but I'm trying not to think about that. I'm not sure I'd be able to maintain at what the BMI calculator suggests is ideal so I'll just see how it goes over the coming months.

owlyboo · 22/11/2024 21:06

Well done @poppym12 !!

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/11/2024 21:06

Well done @poppym12 Same as me. Not sure I will get to the bmi as I was that weight like 20yrs ago and I look very slim
