@NippyCrab as someone who spilt with their notsof*ckingdh nearly 2 years ago that's lovely to hear. I don't want to meet anyone right now but who knows what the future may hold

I didn't meet my current fella until 4 years ago ...18 years since I divorced the NSFDH! Don't worry I wasn't totally alone for 14 years..it was just a case of meeting Mr Right instead of Mr Right for Now. That said, we each have our own home and spend about 5 days a week together or whatever we fancy 😉 We are both retired and spend a lot of time together but I still do plenty of things without him ..off to Argentina with 2 gal pals in March 2025. One of them is also on MJ and we are excited to be going without the extra baggage!

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/11/2024 19:33

@Azuresky68 hope you had a Nice holiday. I'm unsure whether to go up as seems 10 is working for me. I have losses - need to look to see what have lost while on it

Think 3rd dose Tom or is is 4th. Need to check pen

I had one day last week of feeling awful which I've never had and thank god the one day

They say if a dose is working for you to stay on it

I still have ideally 3st to lose to get high 25 bmi I think

So don't want to do 12.15 and 15 in next two months then think now what

So a few of us on 10 now @eeeeeeeee @Glittermoonlight @Ithinkimrincewind @owlyboo

Hi all, I've been very quietly lurking on all of these threads, I've just done the 7.5mg bonus dose, I'm only a couple of pounds from my goal weight so I have actually just cancelled my next order from the supplier, not 100% sure if this was my best move.
However my main question is, I've been fine up until the 7.5mg dose and I know this is a side effect but how has everyone been with hair loss?
I'm very lucky my whole life I've had a cracking head of hair, I may have started to go grey in my 20s however I've always had the hair, it now feels small when placing in a pony or bun and when I take it out its always a bit too large of a chunk that comes out?
Would love to hear other people's if they've had this, I'm hoping when stopping it will come back?

Azuresky68 · 21/11/2024 20:59

@Blondeshavemorefun so glad you have finally got suppression on 10 mg. I am going to see how 10 mg goes. I do take Cyclizine for sickness and it works. Also take paracetamol for headaches but I need it for pain relief for a chronic bad back. Always chewing Boots own orange Indigestion tablets (cheaper than Rennies) I had a lovely holiday thanks but not weighed yet..I didn't stick to my usual 800 - 1000 calories but I much less than I used to before MJ..had a few cheeky vodkas and coke zeros too so scared of the scales this week!

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/11/2024 21:09

@Belle96 I haven't had hair loss Bt know some have

@Azuresky68 I got some wells but haven't needed to use - I was in cyczline when I was preg as had awful hg

It's good stuff

I would weigh anyway as be nice to know for you (and If you share) if a week off made any real Diff

Plus if do gain sure you will lose it next week

Suppression is hit and Miss. I'm still eating 3 meals a day or often a shake for protein for breakie and 2 meals

Don't get the stuffed feeling. I did at the beginning of 10 so not sure if wearing off so maybe I should do 12.5

I have gone up every month

Ahhhhh I don't know

Hi all,

well done @Belle96 on getting so close to target. I tend to shed loads of hair anyway, I haven’t noticed any more of a loss on mj - been taking biotin and collagen throughout but no idea if that’s made a difference.

I did a ‘power pilates’ class tonight - I actually really enjoyed it, even if I couldn’t manage all the moves. Legs are shaky now. I feel so glad that I actually had the energy to do it - since starting mj (well that’s not true, but certainly since about 4 or 5 weeks in) I’ve been so constantly exhausted not to mention sick, that the thought of anything like that was just beyond me. Even last night I fell asleep on the sofa at 8pm and that was me for the night. I’m slowly getting there though - not been sick for a couple of weeks now and toilet side of things has been much more normal too.

5mg was horrendous for me, I don’t know why but going up to 7.5 seems to have done the trick. Feels like the right dose although I’ve either one or two more left - can’t remember where I’m up to - so won’t make any decisions about next pen yet. Ideally I’d like to stay here for a bit but if I have to move up I will. If anyone else is struggling with 5, it really might be worth considering going up. I’m in the oushk support Facebook group and have seen a few posts of people who found 5 awful side effects wise, but were ok on 7.5 - no idea why this should be so but there you are!

CrazyGoatLady · 22/11/2024 07:03

@Azuresky68 your girls holiday to Argentina sounds fab!

@Belle96 I haven't had hair loss either but have seen some people discuss it. Could you titrate down the doses? I'm in a similar position to you re being near GW and am reducing my dose over 3 months before coming off entirely.

@AuntieDote I had a horrid time on 5mg too. No sense going up for me as I'm close to goal now but that's definitely interesting to know that people have actually felt better when they moved up. How are you finding the Oushk FB support group?

I'm definitely ready to start looking at maintenance now, I'm not sure I want to lose much more weight because my face is starting to look a little too pinched - I'm starting to fear the "Ozempic face" look! It really seems to be noticeable in my face in a way previous non MJ weight loss wasn't as much. I have always been quite round in the face, so it feels a bit strange to have these cheekbones now!

CrazyGoatLady · 22/11/2024 07:53

Although that said, weighed this morning and have had a 0.5kg drop despite reducing my MJ dose this week and eating more at maintenance calories than loss calories. It's good news heading into the weekend as I'm off for brunch out tomorrow! 😄

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/11/2024 08:13

So many of you are nearly goal/maintenance - well done

I'm only half way to my ideals bmi but whether I get to it as I think I will look awful at the weight they say

It's Friday. Time to WWJ 😂

OP posts:
owlyboo · 22/11/2024 08:17

That sounds like a fabulous set up @Azuresky68 !

@Belle96 haven't noticed to much hair loss...yet! Well done at being almost at goal!

Good with the weighing Friday weighers! My turn tomorrow!

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/11/2024 08:24

WWJ

2lbs off

Whoop. I'm bang on 14s

I wanted 3 to be in 13's but hopefully that will come next week

I'm in a dither what to do. This was jab 4

So have bonus next week so need to decide what to do

I've lost 8lbs on 10 so far. Best loss I've had apart from the 2.5 which had the big whoosh first jab most get - then not a lot

Then was lb here and there. 3w of nothing. Then think 3lbs off. Then a lb etx

So next week hopefully be another 1/2 so be 9/10lbs lost on it

I think for the first time I'm
Going to stick on 10 and re order - I may regret it later on and guess if I do I can use the bonus to make 4 x 2 so be taking 12

Will take mini blondes to school and then think and order

10 is 189 via med express and I know they price match so has anyone got the link that shows all chemists

I thought I saved it but can't seem to find it thanks

Good luck all to all those on Friday who WWJ 😂😂

Well done to everyone with losses and maintenance.. this thread is getting very exciting! Definitely found 5 mg awful, as many others have reported. I have been on the Ousch FB page as you dont need to be a customer. It's useful at times, but this thread is much nicer! Sounds like 10 mg is a game changer for you @Blondeshavemorefun . Your patience and determination are showing great results. Are you still tracking your food, and if so, do you think that has helped? I am undecided too about ordering my next pen...will see what the scales say next week, then order from Oushk. Must check when their offer finishes. Good luck to everyone and happy weekend!

MargoLivebetter · 22/11/2024 10:02

Hurrah @Blondeshavemorefun ! You are definitely on a roll now.

Congrats too to @CrazyGoatLady .

Well done @Belle96 at nearly reaching goal weight. I haven't had hair loss on MJ, but have suffered really badly at certain points in the past. For me it has related to low iron. Could possibly be worth testing.

I'm knackered. Exhausting week at work. I hate this time of year, as it is always mental at work and outside of it too. Roll on 26th December!!!!! Usually, I'd battle my way through late Nov and December comfort eating, so I'm missing that support mechanism. I just feel bone tired.

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/11/2024 10:02

Yes I think 10 is my number @Azuresky68

I still track and what I usually eat is 1200 or slightly less so I was bang on what I was eating before but good to track and know for sure

I still have 3 meals or 2 and a shake for protein

I buy ready made. I know more costly but so easy to grab a bottle and go and then drink a bit and lid on if want a bit later as well. Tho have a whole one for a meal

And taste better. Not Powderly like the ones I make

Saw on what I eat and one lady has a bottle over 2 meals - mine are 200c so means she is having 100c a meal. That can't be healthy

Someone did actually say on that thread that they were amazed how little some eat. I agree !!

weaseleyes · 22/11/2024 12:11

Well done @Blondeshavemorefun! You're going great guns now.

I managed a couple of pounds off. It had been one pound for a few days, but I heroically managed a second wee this morning to get an extra one off. Halfway through the 11s now. I'd love to see a 10 by Christmas, but feel that's a bit optimistic and that things are slowing down now. I suspect the trek through the lower slopes of the 11 may feel a long one!

@Belle96 I've always lost more hair every time I've dieted successfully, not sure it's anything to do with MJ per se. It does come back!

AuntieDote · 22/11/2024 12:37

Well done @Blondeshavemorefun , so glad you're finally on a roll, you definitely deserve it - you stuck with it longer than many would have I think!

@CrazyGoatLady - I don't really post on the oushk page, I just have a scroll occasionally. I know I don't post here that often now either - I'm really trying to let all the food/ diet/ mounjaro noise fade into the background a bit, which mostly seems to be happening. Bloody well done on being close to maintenance - what's your plan for that?

Like Blondes I'd say I'm still technically only about half way to what would be a healthy weight according to BMI - I'm not sure I'll get there but I want to aim for it.

Just had a facebook picture come up on memories of me in Paris 10 years ago. My first thought was 'I looked great then' - but I don't feel like I look like that now even though I know for a fact I'm about the same size there! It depressed me a bit, but I had to give myself a talking to that it's a particularly flattering photo, and 10 years ago pre DD and pre peri menopause etc. Need to get my head round the fact I'm aiming to look my best as a 45 year old, not a 30 something!

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/11/2024 12:55

Thanks @weaseleyes and @AuntieDote

Ans well done for loss @weaseleyes

If the pic 10yrs ago you looked fab and same size as now then sure you look amazing @AuntieDote

Little NSV - went to Uniqlo at lunchtime to look at the Anya Hindmarch collab (v cute). Tried on an XL jumper expecting to be busting out if it, and it was too loose. I think XL is around a 16, so the idea that I might be heading towards a 14 is a lot.

@Blondeshavemorefun very glad too that the machine is in motion for you!

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/11/2024 13:38

@lookathatbookcase great NSV. Well done

Yes seems 10 is working

I hope it still does for the next month
