Hope everyone is ok and keeping warm!

I weighed this morning and saw the 15s for the first time in a very long time!
SW 18st 6.5lb
CW 15st 13.25lb
Happy dance! 🥳

Slow and steady but that works for me!

ChunkyMunky · 20/11/2024 19:20

Well done everyone, just had a read-through and there are some excellent losses and NSVs.

Feeling rather envious of those with nice steam rooms and jacuzzis at their gyms. I’m planning on signing up in January, but we only have a rather basic council leisure centre near-by. Never mind, I’m sure it will be beneficial.

Not much exciting to report here. Having an ok week, bit of suppression but not mega-strong. I’m all out of sync after my extra dose last week, which shifted my jab day from Sunday to Thursday. I want to get back to Sundays really, so think I’ll jab every 6 days for a few weeks and gradually pull it back to where it should be. Going to brave a 3.75mg tonight I think.

Starting to wear smaller clothes now, and it feels good. Am comfortably in stretchy size 16s on my bottom half, and 18s on my top. Still can’t quite believe it, as I’ve not owned any size 16s since before my first pregnancy (and my eldest is now a teenager, so it’s been a long time!). Not tried anything non-stretchy or tailored yet, but don’t tend to wear things like that much anyway.

Total loss so far is 3st 2.9lbs. Would like to get to 4st loss by Christmas, but not sure how realistic that is, as losses are slowing and plateauing now. Either way, I’m in a much better position than I was in July, so going to keep positive.

owlyboo · 20/11/2024 19:23

@Blondeshavemorefun I would say that's pretty normal when you have suppression so I'm sure it'll be back in force Saturday 🤞

Well done @JoyousSwan

@ChunkyMunky that must feel great after 13+ years to be back in sizes you haven't seen, that's amazing... well done you!!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/11/2024 19:40

@JoyousSwan fab. Well done

@ChunkyMunky great you are in smaller sizes

Hope so @owlyboo

I don't want how I felt last week. That was awful but something would be nice

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/11/2024 22:02

OP posts:
owlyboo · 20/11/2024 22:04

@NippyCrab as someone who spilt with their notsof*ckingdh nearly 2 years ago that's lovely to hear. I don't want to meet anyone right now but who knows what the future may hold

eeeeeeeee · 21/11/2024 06:24

Hi everyone! Just about to take my next injection and thought I’d come on and say hello to everyone!

It’s been a while! It’s hard to keep up with the thread due to life getting in the way but love hearing how everyone is getting on and all the successes. Sorry to hear that some people have been unwell.

I can’t believe it’s been 100+ days that we have been taking Mounjaro together?? It’s gone by so quickly. Mounjaro was the best decision I made for myself this year. It’s refreshing to not have “lose weight” as another New Year’s resolution - as that’s already in motion!

@NippyCrab @owlyboo thanks for your lovely comments earlier in thread!

@Blondeshavemorefun thanks to you too! And yes I am on 10mg with you. Also you look incredible in your photos!! Can see a huge transformation in your silhouette, you must be thrilled !

eeeeeeeee · 21/11/2024 06:30

Also FYI - I had a good experience with MedExpress recently. I asked them to price match my recent order to The Private Pharmacy and they did so really quickly! They gave me a £40 refund via account credit, plus I intend to ask for another price match when I place a new order. Definitely make use of this if you are with MedExpress.

NippyCrab · 21/11/2024 09:48

@eeeeeeeee my amazing cleaners are with Medexpress and really rate them highly too, you've stopped me and made me think that wow, yes it's that time of year when I would say right for this holiday I'll be slimmer or this birthday. It never happened, this time I'm doing it and we are all doing it! No weight related NY promises for 2025 for me, maybe just to keep going, but this is achievable for the first time.

@owlyboo when/if you're ready you will meet someone who treats you like you deserve to be. Before being happy, I was 23 years as a stepford wife, worked FT, main earner, good career the big house and cars. I burned out, he resented that he had no more freeloading for holidays and cars. We sold up and I should have went then but trundled on for 8 months in the cottage. I'm the happiest I've ever been, people said to me after the divorce omg you look like a different person, no stress.

DH is due home later, the snow plough is out at the moment up there so we are hoping by the time he's due to leave the road will be cleared.

I've had such a brilliant week with walks and painting the hall and porch. I feel proud I've done it on my own, I feel now I am capable of decorating the whole house myself. I do credit MJ for this, it's changed so much for me in a positive way. Yes, overcoming the side effects is hard but it's now I feel I'm reaping the rewards.

I'm going to Jab another 4mg this week, I'll see how the effects go,
Right I'm going to jump up like a wee spring chicken and tidy up and also make myself a presentable wifey for DH 😂 i look like I've fell out of a wheelie bin at the moment. X

lookathatbookcase · 21/11/2024 10:26

Mega congrats to all losses @ChunkyMunky @Changinghabits1973 @JoyousSwan!

@NippyCrab Absolutely MJ is part of a slight revenge-loss plan for me too (along with health, self-worth, etc etc), from someone who saw anything as over size 10 as being 'obese' (plus far more but now is not the time to get into it). Like @owlyboo I'm also hoping for someone nice to come along sometime soon, having had my self-esteem pretty shattered by the whole experience.

@eeeeeeeee genuinely hadn't put together that yes, this would be the first year in - for ever? - that 'weight loss' won't be a new year resolution. Incredible to think of that. also actually excited by getting nice new stuff in the sales.

Hope everyone's doing ok in the cold, now that we're feeling it more! I'm installed under a heated throw on the sofa :)

weaseleyes · 21/11/2024 10:57

@eeeeeeeee That is a very good point about resolutions! Mine is always to lose weight, and this year it will be continue to lose weight and then maintain weight. In the past when I've lost weight, I've just had a general thought around 'must keep it off this time and not eat too much, take action sooner'. This time I'm going to treat it like a military exercise! The unknown factor is how/if I'll use MJ, but I strongly suspect I'll be one of those who can't easily manage completely without it. I'd like to transition to maybe a low dose every other month, but we'll see. However, I would like to have reached goal weight and pretty much stayed there throughout next year. That feels way more manageable than starting another diet again.

I'm very bad for shoulding myself with an excessively long list of demands. I should lose weight, should do more decluttering, should sort out a long list of big house things, should keep on top of my spiralling workload, should, should should... But lose weight is always first on the list, as I worry about health, so it's really exciting to think I might be accomplishing a should for once!

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/11/2024 11:38

Thanks @eeeeeeeee I still don't see it but thank you

How are you finding 10? I had one awful day of major suppression and couldn't eat and sick a few days later

Yes I said a while back med express will price check as long as no discount - just their main price

Very cold here. No snow but weather says sleet in next hour

Hate white stuff

OP posts:
NippyCrab · 21/11/2024 12:31

@lookathatbookcase yep my self esteem was shredded, I still constantly say sorry for things and DH is like stop ✋️
And yes! To the sales, I'm always too fat, too ugly, or I don't want to waste money because I'm on a diet and they won't fit. Now I can buy something knowing that my body won't be disgusting. God how low have we been to feel as bad as that.x

@Blondeshavemorefun have you tried grapes again, I really feel for you, the nausea is an awful one to get. X

@weaseleyes maintaining is an achievable goal, I feel the same that I won't manage without MJ for a wee while, maybe the whole year i could see myself on a low dose, so I stop and think before shovelling rubbish in my mouth. I want to ensure my brain is retrained and I have impulse control. X

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/11/2024 12:54

I actually brought some grapes today. Mainly for dd. I'm wary of trying them as I love grapes but the last 3 times I ate them I've been really sick @NippyCrab

morbidcuriosity · 21/11/2024 13:25

I read somewhere there was a code for black Friday at med express.. can't find where I saw it now, and Google wants me to download a voucher app thing..

Any one know what the code is, I don't need another pen, but if there is a big discount then I'm all for it..

Changinghabits1973 · 21/11/2024 13:49

Afternoon all - happy Thursday !

Well my day started extremely early this morning, was up at 5.30am and have been out driving to meetings for the past 5 hours so only just got back.. its so cold i know, but honestly where i have been this morning was just beautiful... it was like nearly 2 hours away from where i live and the sun was out going and the amount of snow further north is unreal.. all settled on the fields and was just so pretty - but then after finishing the meetings started my drive back, the sun was out again, still snowy but i had such a beautiful journey back... literally the Red Arrows were out practising and they were doing loops, drops, stunts etc.. etc.. i was just in awe whilst trying to concentrate on the driving ! This went on for 20 miles at least .. it was like they were guiding me home ! At one point they came so low in the sky that it felt like they were coming past my windscreen.. it was incredible...!!

i will try and catch up on the thread since yesterday morning, but thanks to everyone if i have missed them sending congrats on the weekly loss to me, and likewise, goes without saying, congrats to everyone else who lost, had NSV etc and for women like myself who are single, been through hell and back with an ex and now feel so much more like themselves; to carry on and embrace their positive mental attitude going forwards on this journey... xx 😍

Azuresky68 · 21/11/2024 16:33

Hi everyone...spent ages catching up on everyone's news...all very interesting and inspiring! It's such a positive thread. I am sorry I don't name check much but I read everything! I would have to literally write everything down to do the name checking. Totally get the stuff with exes, being single, solo holidays, (I worked for a holiday company specialising in solo travel) clothes being too big, daily walks, exercise, side effects, costs and wondering what dose to go on/stay on. Currently on 10 mg and not decided whether to go up next time. Agree about maintenance and staying with Oushk, although I really like to get the best price and hate wasting money. On the subject of wasting money, I am gutted that I wasted a full dose of 7.5 before moving onto my new 10 mg yesterday. I didn't record my 7.5 doses accurately and thought I was taking the bonus dose out of my 7.5 when it was only dose 4. I extracted a 10 mg dose and then went on holiday. Today, I scrabbled in my bin to find the 7.5 pen and managed to extract another full 10mg dose! Needless to say, I didn't inject it after being in the bin for over a week... although it was cold outside all week! So I wasted a full dose!!! Apart from @Blondeshavemorefun, is anyone else on 10 mg? @Blondeshavemorefun, how is it working for you, and will you increase to 12.5 next? I haven't got weighed after my holiday ..going to give myself a week before weighing. MJ is the best thing to happen to me this year and have about a stone to lose (that will take me to 2 pounds over the top of my recommended BMI but going no further after that) All the very best to you all and good luck as always xx

owlyboo · 21/11/2024 18:28

@Azuresky68 I'm on 10. Second dose this week. Working well, felt slightly nauseous on and off. I will most likely go up I brought a bundle so already have the 12.5 in the fridge.

Azuresky68 · 21/11/2024 19:13

@owlyboo thanks for that. Have you gone up every time?

Ithinkimrincewind · 21/11/2024 19:13

I'm on the 10, I thought I was gonna move up but have decided not to, hoping I don't regret it but will see how it goes. Am finding the suppression on 10 more than on any of the others since I started so don't want to up dose too soon. Oushk was great about changing it as I'd already ordered 12.5 to be delivered this weekend. Sounds like we are all doing well. Can't believe that I won't be panicking about losing weight as my resolution this year... what a lovely change of mindset

owlyboo · 21/11/2024 19:15

Yes moved up each time @Azuresky68
