Glad puppy seems to be on the mend @NippyCrab

@ChunkyMunky very glad to hear you had a better night. Please try to eat more than 800. Pretty please 🙏🏻

Ohh I was definitely up and over 800 yesterday, all suppression vanished and was replaced with some pretty strong chocolate urges! Almost like pre-MJ yesterday. Hoping for a more balanced day today.

ChunkyMunky · 13/11/2024 07:49

Great loss, well done @SilverSprings510

Fuffedoff · 13/11/2024 07:54

Morning,

I haven't been on for a while as life has got in the way.

My weight loss seems to have stalled a bit in the last 10 days which feels a bit disheartening, more so it's fluctuating. I can't seem to get below 114.2kg. I know it's water weight and this happens.

I seem to have suffered with dreaded sulphur burps last week. I bought some pepto bismol but before it arrived, I used alka seltzer which seemed to work a treat and they vanished. Although the actual alka-seltzer taste is vile.

I'm going to lower my expectations for by end of the year. I did want to get down to 105kg initially but I think I'll be happy to get to 110kg. And then I can focus on losing more in the NY.

I'll be stopping MJ towards end of Dec as we are looking to TTC.

owlyboo · 13/11/2024 08:01

Well done @SilverSprings510 great loss!!

@Fuffedoff stalls are very frustrating, especially when nothing has changed so in theory you should be losing!! I hope you start soon. Exciting that you're TTC hope it happens quickly for you! Is it going to be your first? Please stick around as we can still help support in your weight loss whilst ttc off MJ!

It will be my second, DP first. I have a 14 year old already 😂. It will practically be starting all over again like with a first baby. I want to start trying Feb-March.

So once I stop Mounjaro, I'd be happy to lose 2kg/4.4lb a month and it be steady along way.

I have a very long way to go to my ultimate goal, if I were to aim for a healthy weight for my height, I'd be here all day.

I'd be happy to reach around 13st over the next 2 years which seems doable. And if I want to lose anymore it would be a bonus :)

Snoopsteandcooper · 13/11/2024 09:05

Morning everyone, hope your pup is feeling a bit better @NippyCrab? Well done to everyone, three months done. I'd usually be on the verge of giving up now!

After complaining that I was stuck going up and down the same pound, I had a bit of a revelation the other evening. DH often works away, but has been here last two weeks. He gives me a break from making dinners. However I've noticed he loves seasoning everything with Maldon salt, he's a great cook. However, I seem to be noticing the taste of salt more, no-one else has noticed. So, I asked him not to use salt on my food and now I've dropped 2lbs since Sunday. I think I must be retaining water. So, low sodium will be my next tactic as I think I'm doing everything ele I can.

Have a lovely day x

Changinghabits1973 · 13/11/2024 09:30

Morning everyone - happy Wednesday !

@SilverSprings510 well done on your loss - its amazing...!
@NippyCrab morning twinny - how is pooch today? I didn't get on much after my horrific day yesterday as wanted to indulge in Netflix, and fell asleep earlier than expected ! Thinking of you...

Well, today is weigh day - and I have lost 2.6 lb and now 2 lb under the 15's!!!!! YEY!!!! ; so total loss is 50lbs, 22kg, 3.8 stone! I set myself my first mini goal on my Renpho scales to be 15.11 by Christmas Eve - have just 1lb to go to reach that first goal, and with a few weeks to spare so am very happy with my journey so far... Once reached I can set other goals etc ...; maybe to be in the 14's by my birthday at the beginning of March may be a good one!

Hope my Oushk package turns up today - busy day ahead so will check in later but have a great day all xx

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/11/2024 09:38

You have great losses @SilverSprings510 I'm usually a lb. Odd 2 and think 4 once after being sts for 3w so still only a 4lbs over 4w - well done !!

Can you do a few days menu so I can see what you eat and maybe pinch some ideas

@Fuffedoff think of the good you have done by losing weight to help ttc

How much have you lost ?

And do keep on here so we can support you with losing weight /maintaining

And sending fairy dust for as and when ttc

@Snoopsteandcooper that's interesting about salt and well done for loss

@Changinghabits1973 that's amazing. 2 goals. Under 15 and 50lbs. Well done

weaseleyes · 13/11/2024 09:50

Great losses @SilverSprings510! 4lb sounds so much this far in, but I suppose if it's 1lb one week and 4lb the next, that's 2lb a week which is perfectly reasonable! And well done @Changinghabits1973 - another awesome benchmark beaten!

I'm actively looking forward to jab day tomorrow night as I've definitely been more food-preoccupied this week, which I'm attributing to my possible under-dosing following pen failure. I shall be going for at least 4.5 - am determined to get up to 5 soon and tell myself I've managed a therapeutic dose.

MargoLivebetter · 13/11/2024 09:51

@SilverSprings510 and @Changinghabits1973 whoop whoop.

AuntieDote · 13/11/2024 10:17

Morning all. Well done @SilverSprings510 and other losses, great stuff!

@NippyCrab how's the pup? I hope picking up a little bit.

I didn't eat much at all yesterday, but starving today so about to make myself a big protein heavy breakfast/ brunch.

Side effects are quite minimal thank goodness, other than the real fatigue.

I desperately need to kick myself up the bum to do some more exercise - I'm just so bloody tired!

NippyCrab · 13/11/2024 10:18

Good morning all, omg we chat like wee budgies on this thread haha I need to rewind and read again.

@Changinghabits1973 what a flipping day you had lady bless you! Did you have bread cramps? I think it's very inconsiderate of your body to protest against what you lovingly fuel it with 😂. Iron burns are on the same level of paper cuts! Evil and very painful. Xx

@ChunkyMunky how are you feeling today?
@MargoLivebetter that sounds like such a lovely time away, he sounds a great man ❤️
@SilverSprings510 wow! That is amazing, you are on this!!
That 3st goal is nigh.
@Snoopsteandcooper ah I wouldn't have thought of that as being a blocker so I will keep that in mind.

@owlyboo Iove your pics and the carpet of leaves are my favourite. They are damp here, not crispy, I prefer the swishy crunch.
@Changinghabits1973 Is it only Wednesday? I thought it was Thursday lol ffs!
@Fuffedoff that's a good goal aim for a monthly loss and totally sensible, I'm about that on MJ but i am happy with that just now, x
@Dogsandswimming same here, I decided to Jab 2.5 twice a week and was seedy doing that, I'm on 3.75mg and I feel okay,
@1clavdivs I've got a link for 32g needles which are finer I'll go get it x

Little poppet pants update, my friend has looked over the results and again says fairly normal but indicative of infection so she has booked her in for a follow up tomorrow. She's not improved enough for me to say okay let's give her time to recuperate, my dog experience just knows she's not out the woods yet. She's eaten some fish and about 50g of kibble which is good. Drunk water and peed. Please don't think I am being disrespectful to the other vet, he's fabulous but not in a communication sense on the telephone.

Im glad it's only Wednesday because this wee Crustacean needs to get on top of poos before WWJ day. I'm drinking 3lts of water a day, prunes but I have decided I don't want to take dulcolax because the pain was horrid. I've got some lactulose I will take today and if that fails there's some recommendations on the FB group. I actually hate FB, reading some of the drivel on the Oushk group is major roll eye territory.

MargoLivebetter · 13/11/2024 10:21

Aw @NippyCrab fingers crossed that your wee doglet will be feeling properly better soon.

SilverSprings510 · 13/11/2024 11:17

Thanks everyone! Yeah I seem to have a smaller loss like a lb followed by a larger loss the week after. Maybe I’m a whoosher 😂 be interesting to see how I get on with 7.5mg.

@Blondeshavemorefun
Last weeks menu all week below:
Monday: protein shake, lamb stew leftovers, chorizo & pea risotto
Tuesday: protein shake, risotto leftovers, steak and potatoes
Wednesday: protein shake, pea and ham soup, homemade pizza (I have a quick protein/lower cal recipe for the dough)
Thursday: protein shake, butternut squash soup, halloumi kebab
Friday: protein shake, ham sandwich, pasta bake
Saturday: pancakes, houmous and feta w/tortillas, chicken curry
Sunday: pancakes, avocado and chicken bagel,
Burger w/potato salad and corn
I sometimes have some snacks in there too, chicken pieces/small bits of choc/protein puds etc. I average around 1300 cals a day but I am very short.

Hope this helps! 🥰

FlappingMadly · 13/11/2024 11:19

@NippyCrab no disrespect at all. Sometimes it just comes down to communication. I really hope your friend gets to the bottom of it and pup can start treatment.

@SilverSprings510 whoop! What a great loss! 💃💃💃

And @Changinghabits1973 yay!! Under 15 is ace! So pleased for you. 💃💃💃

@Snoopsteandcooper that’s interesting, thanks for sharing. I’m a bit generous with seasoning - will bear it in mind. Whoop, 2lb is great! 💃💃💃

@Fuffedoff ugh, stalls are the worst. Are you seeing /feeling any other changes? I really hope you measured yourself. If you haven’t do it now! I echo what others have said. stick around! Your goal sounds sensible and achievable. How exciting!

Market day today and I picked up lots of lovely veg but couldn’t resist a hot meat section and bought pork ribs. I’d had no breakfast & felt a bit icky when leaving for the market and practically inhaled half of them when I got back. My stomach is making all kinds of unhappy noises now 🤢.uh oh.

Today I am wearing a boat neck boden t shirt size 18! It felt great but then a bit despondent about how far I have to go. It’s good to be an emphatic size down though. And my eyes look bigger every day. I think actually that’s the biggest difference. And my feet/ankles.

Changinghabits1973 · 13/11/2024 11:25

Just to clarify I am not under 15st yet (although hopefully soon.. !!) I can see the 15's today, just 2lbs under so will take that any day! But now seeing 15's from 19's is so rewarding for me.. sorry for any confusion 😕 xx

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/11/2024 13:06

Glad you have a vet friend @NippyCrab and Hope pup keeps making progress

Yes nearly WWJ day for think 4 of us

Hoping for a loss

I'm soooooo thirsty today. Drank lots of water

Thank you so much @SilverSprings510 Maybe I need to do a protein shake for breakie most days 1) get protein in 2) isn't food as such - think my one is 124c

You have amazing losses. I just seem to be a lb a week girl generally

But I find that a shake doesn't seem to fill me up as much as say a Brioche and fruit - or porridge or scrambled eggs

@Changinghabits1973 hopefully 15s will be reached next weigh in

Either way from 19s that's amazing in 3mths

Changinghabits1973 · 13/11/2024 13:10

@Blondeshavemorefun thank you hun.. Just been for a haircut and she was like "I've never seen you looking so well.. you're glowing".. I appreciated it but kept to myself MJ, just said I was eating healthier etc..
I hope you have a scale move this week too.. I'm manifesting it ! X

owlyboo · 13/11/2024 15:30

@Fuffedoff super exciting!!!

@Snoopsteandcooper well done on the loss and the salt revelation!

Well done @Changinghabits1973 nice compliment from the hair dresser.

@NippyCrab really hope she improves soon!

Forest school for me today, I was freezing!! 🥶

MargoLivebetter · 13/11/2024 15:39

Crikey @owlyboo were you outside all day? Did you have stuff to do, or were you just standing around slowly turning into an icicle?

owlyboo · 13/11/2024 15:46

@MargoLivebetter whittling a fork? And making a painting 😂

owlyboo · 13/11/2024 15:47

@MargoLivebetter but yes outdoors all day!

MargoLivebetter · 13/11/2024 15:51

Sounds fun but not warm. The kind of thing that would be great in June!!! 😂
