Been 3mths now since we started.

@MargoLivebetter pleased you had a lovely time away and well done on your loss x

I am indeed. Like I say I was going to use the bonus dose but pen buggered up so onwards and upwards (and downwards in weight 🤞)

I think I've caught up as I haven't used the bonus dose to 'stay on longer' on any of the pens only to top up so gone through them slightly quicker maybe.

@owlyboo hope you only have the good affects and none of the nasties. I’m feeling faint at the thought of MJ being thrown away. 🤣😬

@Blondeshavemorefun no DP doesn't know I'm on MJ. Nobody does. MJ falls into the category of things I can only deal with by myself (and with the whole of Mumsnet obviously!).

He knows I'm watching what I eat and losing weight because of my various arthritic issues. He wasn't trying to force me to eat, but he does love a good meal out and god love him, he organised a little break for us both, found a hotel, booked restaurants, drove miles, researched & planned walks, places to visit and was generally very thoughtful. I didn't want to be a debbie downer on all his effort by not eating - so it is all on me. The particularly troublesome dinner was a set 3 course menu. I nearly barfed in my napkin - no exaggeration. I came so close to bringing the pudding straight back up again that my eyes were watering. I shall not be having a set menu again any time soon!!!!!

@Blondeshavemorefun I injected my bonus dose of 7.5 mg last night. Withdrew it with a syringe and got 9 mls so I guess I am on 10? Starting my 10mg next week!

@FlappingMadly I know. But the hard twist has worked every other time so I didn't have any needles or anything and wanted to inject on my usual day so just went up to next pen. I used the extra in my other pens don't worry! I'm hoping I don't get any bad side effects as I have forest school tomorrow with my DC and there's only one manky outdoor toilet!!

Those of you who are using insulin syringes to extract the spare dose, can you please post a link to the ones you have? Also do you need separate needles or can you use the same type as the ones you use with the pen?

What a day - can't wait for bed time !
So this morning started off as you know with the pool being shut for several days so that was a blow!
Second thing, my Oushk delivery was due today - Royal Mail always come early here where i live and give an estimate 4 hour window so was expecting it by lunchtime - so been hanging around so i could deal with it and unpackage it etc.., then i got an email from Royal Mail around lunchtime apologising that the delivery was delayed due to an error at it arriving at the correct sorting facility local to me, but then inadvertently got put on the wrong truck and is now at a mail depot about 40 miles away ! They said that it was on route to me but apologised for the inconvenience .... 🙃 still hadn't arrived before 5pm, so i thought i better let Oushk know just in case any come back on me and they were SO SO GOOD.... !! They have just emailed me back saying that Royal Mail say it will now be delivered tomorrow, but they have said that in case it isn't to let them know by 7pm and they will send another one out ! Honestly, can't fault them...

Then I caught my big Stanley cup of water on the edge of my tassled swimming bag and the whole load of water came out, went all over the landing carpet; i burnt myself on the iron, dropped my mobile on the kitchen hard tiles (luckily it isnt cracked....) and was doing chicken and salad for tea but couldn't face it all so just had some nice seeded brown bread toast x 2 slices - i haven't had bread for ages as it gives me cramps now on MJ so can't wait for that to start later... !! But just fancied it...

On a plus note though: This afternoon's mission was to prepare a weight loss chart - so used the coloured A3 paper i had already got, two sheets of stickers, one gold stars and one silver gold star sheets, drawn the lines, labelled the pounds, stuck the stars on for each pound lost and each stone i am giving a gold star and followed that theme through right until my end goal - its now visual (although i do have a tracker more like a diary) but i am going to stick this on the kitchen cupboard so i am reminded every time i am in the kitchen... I was just using up stuff that i had in my cupboards so not to buy anything else for the chart and am chuffed (although looks like i have been on Blue Peter...!!!) x

@Blondeshavemorefun don't worry this is the first drop I've wasted. I've used the bonus on my last two pens but as top ups not extra doses if that makes sense. But did both of those via the hard turn method but it didn't work this time and had no extra needles etc for the syringe method. Never mind.

I did my last 5mg today, then withdrew the bonus dose with a syringe. I got about .7 out but only injected .3 as I think that brings me up to just over 7mg in prep for 7.5mg next week. Too much maths for me 😅

@Blondeshavemorefun she's the same as last night, sleeping, eating a little bit but drinking which is good. The bloods came back and the vet said they were fairly normal 🤔 so my friend who's also a vet at the practice is having a wee look tomorrow. She's to finish her antibiotic course but im going to pop in tomorrow and see if she's to go back on her Apoquel, she was taken off that on Sunday until bloods came back. He was a bit vague. Im not really happy with her so I will see how she is in the morning bless her.
I'm sorry I've not replied to everyone but I've read all the updates, I'm so bloody tired now. I cleaned thoroughly today because the cleaners weren't in yesterday so I met all my fitness app goals 😂😂

Much better day today. I threw up about midnight and slept ok after that, minimal side effects today but ohh my goodness I want to eat EVERYTHING, preferably all of the wrong stuff.

Thought I could maybe blame an impending period, but just checked my calendar and I’m not due for over a week, so can’t blame that.

Must force myself to stay on track, as I absolutely am not prepared to expand out of all the new trousers that I bought over the weekend.

@MargoLivebetter glad you had a nice time away. That’s the sort of situation I would be in too, feeling obliged to eat so as not to upset others. It’s a hard thing to shift.

I've been jabbing 2.5mg twice a week, thinking I'd avoid side effects because I I had nausea from the outset. But two injections a week meant they were getting cumulatively worse. I ended up popping Kwells every day.

So last week I took 3.75mg for the week and had virtually no side effects - but also not as much suppression. On the plus side although I've eaten bigger meals I haven't snacked - so I'm taking that as a win.

My next big step is to go to 5mg as I'm a stone off my target and don't want to get stuck here.

@Dogsandswimming did you count clicks? I was meant to be due a jag today but couldn't face it because the nausea last week was so bad. Maybe I'll give 3.75 a go too and see if that's bearable. I just haven't got used to 5 at all. I'm having a consultation with Oushk about maintenance next week as I'm nearly there, just 2.6kg to go, and I've been thinking I can't wait to step down as this sickness for 4-5 days every week is just vile. But it sounds like you want to try to get used to 5 if possible. Fingers crossed for you!

@Changinghabits1973 aye you have had a wee mare of a day haven't you. Hope tomorrow goes better for you!

@ChunkyMunky you could come on early, its been know and spoken about that it messes up peoples periods.

@morbidcuriosity quite possibly. I’m usually like clock work, and that’s not changed on MJ so far, but there’s a first time for everything. Will have to wait and see.

3.75mg was so much better than 2 x 2.5mg.

I've just taken my first 5mg and am a bit nervous so I'll keep you posted. If it proves too much, I'll go back to 3.75mg.

@NippyCrab so weird. Wonder why made her so poorly to not want chicken. That's heavens delight for dogs

@Dogsandswimming they do advise to Jan once a Week rather than Split the dose but can understand why some do. Obv they haven't tested for that so can't advise it. Fab uou are a stone off target after 3mths
