Ooh, exciting @WitchDancer! Well done, and it's so tantalising hovering around a new stone bracket!

@ChunkyMunky sorry you're getting side effects again. do you think it might be a reaction to having eaten out at the weekend? Not that you're not entitled, of course! I find my body is particularly sensitive to new/different foods or quantities on MJ, so it might be that if you ca get back to eating small quantities of routine safe things for a bit everything might settle down again. And then roll on a degree of greater freedom in the future.

weaseleyes · 12/11/2024 09:28

@NippyCrab so glad the pup is hanging on in there and a bit brighter. Fingers crossed the results say something helpful. Alarms for exercise sound a good idea. I try to tie in a few exercises to specific actions, like boiling the kettle (a few squats), waiting for the microwave (leg swings to help my hips) and cleaning my teeth (going up and down a step repeatedly). It's the only way I can remember (mostly!) to do them. I also do some exercise first thing, so I can't talk myself out of it 😀

NippyCrab · 12/11/2024 09:45

@WitchDancer wooohooo that's brilliant and you will see that number next time it's such a boost x
@weaseleyes i think what I will do is put post it notes to areas of the house where I do certain things too then. I'll work out what exercise for which daily routine is best, I will do alarms still to make sure I have done a minimum amount of resistance tasks per day. Xxx

Morning everyone, happy Tuesday !!
Great posts on here since yesterday afternoon... enjoyed sitting and reading them all over my cup of green tea ! Well done all on the losses and sorry to hear some of you are struggling on the side effects too - i know that feeling well...

@NippyCrab morning twinny.... SO SO pleased pooch is a tad brighter than the weekend; that has made me happy... I hope it still continues to go in the right direction and the fact that kibble and chicken is appealing in small quantities now fills me with hope that the antibiotic is working for her... i really hope you get some results later hun... sending virtual hugs xx

Well I had Aqua booked for this morning and tomorrow and Aqua Zumba on Friday morning so felt really good about that as love it; left at 8am to get to it and was home again by 8.30am!!!! 😂 There was an incident poolside last night (don't know what !) and now the pool has to be drained and re filled etc etc and its going to cost thousands !! They hope to re open by Saturday or Sunday ! Am gutted !! Its so hard to get into these classes as there are only 30 spaces and about 7,000 members so go like hot cakes! The fact that i managed to get into all 3 this week was amazing.... now what am i going to do ????!!! So am going to Argos to buy myself a kettle bell and some dumb-bells (only small weight..!) and going to do some of that i think ! See how many minutes i can manage .... probably around 5 !!! May help with weigh day tomorrow !! x

owlyboo · 12/11/2024 09:50

Well done @WitchDancer !

@NippyCrab glad she's all least eating something!

Lovely morning in Devon today, I wonder at what age you don't enjoy kicking the leaves because I'm 36 and still going strong Grin

Lovely pictures @owlyboo. I can testify that the leaf kicking urge remains strong at nearly 61

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/11/2024 09:58

@WitchDancer that's fab news. Well done on whoosh. Makes it all worth while

@ChunkyMunky hope you are feeling better today and off the loo

@Changinghabits1973 an incident. That usually means a runny poo doesn't it or great sickness

@NippyCrab so glad pup sounds like she in on the mend. Eating kibble and some chicken

Must have been something she eaten - was she near the dead seal you said about - could she have eaten some insides 🥲🙀

Beautiful !! Such a lovely place to be isn't it... wish i had that kind of scenery where i am and yes, everyone loves to kick leaves and jump in puddles ! Even at nearly 52 ! x

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/11/2024 10:02

Thankfully I feel better. I don't want another day like yesterday

So weird to feel like that and very unusual for me

Hungary but couldn't eat as felt sick and stuffed

But know had to eat

I still stand by my Dino dinosaur. He helped me lots and gave me 5% of my protein so not feeling guilty at eating chocolate !! 😄

Which as I've said before isn't my thing. I'm a savoury/ crisp girl more

Eaten breakie of porridge and plan to have chicken /salad for lunch and mince /veg /rice for tea

@Blondeshavemorefun so pleased you're feeling a bit better ... hope it continues... what you have planned to eat sounds lovely today... I may go out and get some mince now as think i may fancy doing some batch cooking ! I changed it up last night and didn't have chicken so i did some small pork meatballs, had 4 left in my freezer so i cooked them with carrots, onion, celery and spinach and at the time i quite enjoyed them, but all night and again this morning i have them repeating on me !! Think i will go back to chicken tonight 😅

WitchDancer · 12/11/2024 09:07

Morning all. It's weigh in and jab day today. I've had a mini whoosh and lost 3lb (yay!) so that's 1 stone 6lb now and I'm 16 stone dead on now. 1 more lb and I'll be in the 15's...

Congrats on your whoosh - 3lb is great ! I am hoping to see the 15's tomorrow with my weigh in... then I start day dreaming and think OMG in a couple of months i may see the 14's... !! We can do this !! x

WitchDancer · 12/11/2024 10:14

Thank you all. I'm happy for sure 😁

owlyboo · 12/11/2024 10:15

Glad everyone still loves leaf scrunching!!

@Changinghabits1973 hope you see that 15 tomorrow! It's such a good feeling when you hit that next bracket! (Even though I actually weigh in kg I keep a track on my chart of the stones/pounds!!)

I'm still a way off my next bracket, 8lbs!! But then I'll finally be back in the 11's!

Changinghabits1973 · 12/11/2024 10:31

@owlyboo thank you ! I hope it happens, but if it doesn't i hope it will next week... the anticipation is crippling me but i have purposefully stayed off the scales since Saturday this week .. so will see !!

That feeling of warmth inside you when we hit a next stone bracket is truly so special... I started off in the 19's, nearly 19.7st - the feeling of seeing the 18's, then 17's, then 16's is hard to describe... shame & elation mixed into one... I have to keep reminding myself that this is within 14 weeks...
You must feel immensely proud of your achievement and for you to be in that next stone bracket soon starting at 11 must given you so much more encouragement and willpower etc.... Am sort of envious !! (in a nice way !!) x

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/11/2024 10:33

@Changinghabits1973 fingers crossed for a 15 Tom and I eat chicken most days for either lunch or tea

You have done so well to start at 19 and be heading towards 15 !!!

I beg to differ. Good videos explain stance, technique, weight distribution and breathing. An in person lesson of course is always ace but don’t discount videos.

owlyboo · 12/11/2024 10:35

@Changinghabits1973 I'm heading to 11 didn't start there, I wish! Started at 15,10!!!

You're doing amazingly! I really hope
You hit it this week!

Redlightbulb · 12/11/2024 10:51

I think I need to lower my dose slightly.
Been on 7.5 for the last 6 weeks and for the previous 3, I seem to be getting worsening acid reflux/sulphur burps/heartburn in the evening the day after injecting... I am generally fine after that.
I have ended vomiting my dinner in the middle of the night.
Last night I did this and also had some diarrhoea (first time I have had the runs)
It's strange as the hunger suppression has been wearing off sooner but the initial side effects have been getting worse.
I don't think my body is liking the delayed stomach emptying. I guess the day after injecting the effect is at it's strongest so my stomach is learning to produce more acid as each week goes on. I used to suffer from reflux when I binged but not done that since before MJ.
I have no pains apart from what is heartburn associated.

FlappingMadly · 12/11/2024 10:59

@owlyboo what a great feeling! And huge NSV to be nimble on the stairs. Lovely pics. I was in the woods this morning. Don’t think we ever grow out of kicking leaves.🤣
@WitchDancer whoop! Fab weight loss!
Oh no! @Changinghabits1973 what a bummer! Ooh, I think tomorrow is going to be your day ..
Glad you’re feeling better @Blondeshavemorefun

@NippyCrab The Zoe interview really gave me a boost. It’s very informative. My MIL has osteoporosis. She was living in her dream house in Fife, walking up the hill for Mahjong, golf, Bridge, shops etc. Full happy life. Then it all changed suddenly with her bones just snapping. Frightened me to death! And I take bone health very seriously. Glad pup is in the mend.

How were you on 5 @Redlightbulb

Maybe drop back to 5 using clicks or 6 ?

owlyboo · 12/11/2024 11:21

Just did my jab. First time the hard turn didn't work... boo! It turned but only released a tiny amount of meds so I've take my 10mg as well as literally only a tiny tiny amount came out of my old pen, it just jammed.

Can't be bothered with withdrawing it with the needle so I've chucked it and onwards with 10!

Fingers crossed it agrees with me. Been okay with the other amounts so far 🤞

MargoLivebetter · 12/11/2024 11:41

I cannot keep up. I go away for a few days and had to find a whole new thread and you are already 12 pages in!!!!! Congratulations to all those still here, still losing, plateauing or just sticking with it. Can't believe it is 3 months now.

I went away with DP and found eating out a real struggle. My Fullometer was definitely broken before MJ and now it is well and truly fixed and I've realised that I don't need to eat that much to feel very full - a sensation that I rarely got previously and shows how much I was over-eating. DP had booked us into some lovely restaurants as a treat and I found myself having to force food down, so as not to look like an ungrateful cow. It definitely detracted from the dining experience.

Fortunately, we also walked loads too, so I'm still 1lb down this week.

Redlightbulb · 12/11/2024 12:17

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/11/2024 11:13

On 5 I just had a few sulphur burps every now and again but no vomiting or reflux.

I had been putting up with the side effects on 7.5 as it was only for that 1 night, suppression was longer lasting and I would have thought after a few weeks it would have subsided but it hasn't.

Going to do 6.25 I think.. (50 clicks by my calculation)

owlyboo · 12/11/2024 12:29

Well done @MargoLivebetter. Sounds like you had a lovely time away, even if you were having to force down food 😂
