Miss Mounjaro UK has the most up to date price comparison charts: https://www.missmounjarouk.com/

I will be back in the morning to add all of the information I had spent an hour on earlier on the original thread 23 that sort of went bust but I've just not found time this evening.

I'll cover UTIs again, as well as add the images from Miss Mounjaro, and the list of possible side effects.

Not quite the start to thread 23 that I had planned for, but I do think it's very important that everyone who had successful losses in thread 22 gets a huge congratulations and well done.

Happy thread 23 everybody!

@Habbyhadno Congrats on your 4st loss - amazing! I've only been on it since September but 5mg didn't work for me at all. I barely lost and didn't feel much suppression. 7.5mg was a game-changer.

Thank you! Looking forward to getting cracking on 7.5 then! Fingers crossed this is THE dose.

Might be a silly question but does anyone have suggestions of where to buy affordable underwear & nightwear from? I find myself needing to replace everything as I lose weight, but I also don’t want to spend loads as I’m not at goal yet.

Tik tok shop.

Jimmyneutronsforehead · 20/01/2025 09:27

I'm not buying anything other than primark multipacks of briefs and nighties until I'm closer to my goal weight.

I'd really rather not support fast fashion clothing outlets but they are cheap and I am a povvo so it is what it is for now.

Mostly agree and planning to buy a whole new wardrobe once at target

but i was a large 22, down to 18 with an aim of 12 ish. So quite a big drop.
I'm buying a few essentials from vinted to sell on once I'm finished.

Still have good quality stuff at a fraction of their actual price plus are most of it back after.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 20/01/2025 13:27

I've been buying second hand clothes from Ebay.

I've now got two lovely coats, and they cost a total of £16.
🤣

Snozzlemaid · 20/01/2025 13:43

I'm trying not to spend too much on clothes either until I reach my goal.
I've bought some cheap underwear and pyjamas from supermarkets: Asda or Sainsbury's
I'll treat myself to better quality when I get to goal.

Primark, Asda, Sainsbury's or Tesco for both.

Aldi have some nightwear at the moment but not undies.

Sainsbury's tend to be slightly better quality.

You could also have a go at altering or repurposing stuff that can't be sold on.

I’ve just bought 2x 5 packs of low rise shorts from M&S and they were only £12 each pack.

QueenOfHiraeth · 20/01/2025 14:38

@MJconfessions I've had some nice pyjamas from Asda. They are the T-shirt and trousers type, Soft Touch ones that you can mix and match so you can pick different patterns, cami top, long or short sleeves, long or 3/4 pants and they are often on offer if you buy 2 pairs. I also got a T-shirt type nightie in the same range

Just a heads up - lots of providers won’t allow you to join them once you’re below BMI 27 (with existing condition). I’ve just breached that threshold and am struggling to find any who will continue treatment for someone new (so I can still use new patient discount codes - else the higher doses are totally unaffordable).
Does anyone know of any providers who will take you in if you want to continue past BMI 27 to at least healthy BMI range?

I should say I’m somewhat delighted to now have this problem…

Choux · 20/01/2025 19:27

I think I was under 27 BMI when I moved to the Family Chemist and am now hovering around 25 and they have not queried or asked for pictures. (I am actually 23 point something BMI but I add a few pounds each time to minimise the chance of issues). I use it responsibly and have brought my dose down as I move to maintenance and they seem fine with that.

imnottoofussed · 20/01/2025 20:18

I moved to family chemist at bmi 25.4

My last order was bmi 23 and no issues

I did have a telephone call with them approx 2 months after joining to discuss my weight loss journey etc and I've had no problems with them so far

In 7 days I've officially lost 1kg. Monday seems to be my official weigh day.

I'm really proud of myself, today is the first day with no changes in weight but makes sense because it's also jab day and the last day of the week is always the hardest and a bit slow.

I've been consistently getting at least 6k steps in, sometimes 8 sometimes 12.

DP who insisted we don't rely on motivation to go to the gym and use dedication instead has joined me twice, but I've been every day this week and now I need new gym bottoms as the ones I had before are just a little bit too loose and I keep having to hitch them up a bit.

I've had this horrible foot pain though that I've been putting down to hypermobility, that for the most part seems to be disappearing so rather than a constant 8/10 aching pain it's like a 2/10 aching pain with the odd sharp snapping sensation. I'm hoping this is a sign that losing weight will eventually alleviate the pain completely.

This week's goals for me are I'd be happy to lose 1lbs and keep it off for the week, but I do want to keep up with at least getting 6k steps a day and find ways to manage pain so I can stay consistent with my diet and exercise plans.

DP has very kindly bought me a new smart watch too for exercise tracking, although I suspect this was to justify purchasing one for himself. Either way I'm very grateful and I'm finding it much easier to track my nutrition and energy.

What does that even mean??? Congrats on getting there daily though. Sounds like you are motivated to go so that's no bad thing.

It's a phrase he has trotted out every few months, but basically he's saying that if you don't feel like doing something you should do it anyway.

However it's a belief system he rarely holds himself to.

Hi all. I've had an email from MedExpress today asking me to send them my medical records. Has anyone else had this happen and if so what was the outcome? I can see my GP has basically told them it's not their job to review the suitability of the medication. But in the letter MedExpress send to GPs they expressly state they aren't asking for specific information from my medical records or my GP approval. So I'm confused.

I will reply to them to say this seems at odds with what they put in the GP letter. And I was already looking to switch provider. Just interested to know if others have had the same.

I recall someone a couple of months ago saying MedExpress had asked for their records. The general consensus was that for some reason they didn't want to supply the poster anymore so we're making it difficult. I think the poster just switched suppliers.

SilenceInside · 21/01/2025 18:13

I've seen people mention this from MedExpress a few times on threads here. It seems to be the same letter content every time and I wonder if they're being auto generated for some reason. I've seen people respond by sending screenshots of their NHS app records, if that's accessible to you.

WorriedRelative · 21/01/2025 22:33

They seem to be fucking about loads these days, often just to buy time to cover backlogs, switch supplier.

I'VE JUST REACHED MY GOAL WEIGHT!

SW: 240.8lbs (17st 2lbs)
CW: 153.8lbs (10st 13lbs)

Total loss: 87lb! Or 6st 3lbs. And my BMI has gone from 37.3 to 23.6.

I'm going to move onto the maintenance thread but just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone on here! It was lovely having somewhere to talk about weight loss/ Mounjaro, and a bonus that everyone is so lovely.

Good luck to you all for the rest of the journey.

Just caught Linney tucking into the raw chicken which I'm cooking this evening.
