Miss Mounjaro UK has the most up to date price comparison charts: https://www.missmounjarouk.com/

I will be back in the morning to add all of the information I had spent an hour on earlier on the original thread 23 that sort of went bust but I've just not found time this evening.

I'll cover UTIs again, as well as add the images from Miss Mounjaro, and the list of possible side effects.

Not quite the start to thread 23 that I had planned for, but I do think it's very important that everyone who had successful losses in thread 22 gets a huge congratulations and well done.

Happy thread 23 everybody!

Ok. Can you reduce so do maybe 5ml so .4 if Syringe so body gets used to a lower dose

tho means may go over 30 days

3wDavid · 19/01/2025 07:32

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/01/2025 22:07

I’ve been thinking about mj for those who are diabetic - what happens if they get preg

I get they can’t say use While preg as hasn’t been tested in trials

but surely it’s the same ?

I have been wondering the same. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Snozzlemaid · 19/01/2025 08:29

You don't have to titrate down slowly.
You can if you wish to, but there is no reason to not just stop if you want or have to.
There is no withdrawal from the drug, the effects will just wear off as it reduces in your body.

murraymcgill · 19/01/2025 08:43

@Blondeshavemorefun good morning I could do that although 5 wasn't great suppression for me do you know how many clicks that is for the 5 thanks

murraymcgill · 19/01/2025 08:44

@Snozzlemaid thanks I wasn't sure about that I obviously don't want to stop but just now I don't have that kind of money maybe March I'd be back on

diian · 19/01/2025 10:50

@murraymcgill With a 7.5mg pen, 5mg is 40 clicks. I reached goal at the end of Oct and I am currently doing 30 clicks from a 5mg pen (so 2.5mg a week). The pen will last 10 weeks (with the bonus doses)

murraymcgill · 19/01/2025 10:53

@diian thank you so much its appreciated

diian · 19/01/2025 11:16

@murraymcgill Taking 2.5mg weekly, the suppression is not great, as in, I can finish a meal (which I could not do when taking higher doses). But I do not have food noises and I have stayed the same weight. I did not want to continue losing weight as I am happy with a BMI of 22. Taking 2.5mg is a perfect maintenance for me. I am eating less and doing exercise each day and feeling great being 3.2 stone lighter than 6 months ago.

murraymcgill · 19/01/2025 11:24

@diian I cant excersize I'm doing this for spinal surgery I'll just need to have great will power

Gettingbysomehow · 19/01/2025 11:38

Well 7.5mgs was a surprise. I felt a bit rough on the first day but no symptoms on from that. But suppression is 100%. I've had to have slimfast shakes because I cannot force any food down at all. I know it's UPF but I'll suck it up because I'm losing weight for an urgent op in 6 weeks.

QueenOfHiraeth · 19/01/2025 12:45

@murraymcgill @diian Please don't think I am being arsey or negative as we all make our own decisions but just something to bear in mind if using a pen for longer than 30 days.

None of us are daft enough to think MJ is brilliant up to day 30 then useless or toxic on day 31 but the pen has only been tested for 4 doses over 30 days so there's no guarantees beyond that.
I suspect the number of doses may be more important than the date especially with a pen device. Every time you give a dose the inner part of the needle pierces the red seal which makes a tiny hole which, although the membrane is spongey so reseals, weakens it. Multidose vials, used in healthcare settings have tougher seals and are used with syringes which, due to human variation in use, is likely to happen on different parts of the seal each time, so unlikely to cause a larger hole which might allow contamination in, whereas the needles in the pen are pretty standard so all the punctures are in a very similar place. If you are using as many as 10 doses, my concern would be the tiny holes merge to make a larger hole breaching that seal allowing air in to degrade the medication or allowing infection.
That risk is probably very very small but I'm just highlighting that it hasn't been tested for so we simply do not know.

murraymcgill · 19/01/2025 12:49

@QueenOfHiraeth noted thanks

Hi. Chart is here as I don’t do clicks

but 5 is 2/3 of 7.5

60 clicks is a dose so assume 40 clicks is 5 @murraymcgill

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/01/2025 13:22

Paperwhite13 · 19/01/2025 15:25

NSV I went into Zara, didn't cry in the fitting room and actually bought several items.

😂

murraymcgill · 19/01/2025 19:10

@Paperwhite13 that's great I've never been In Zara hopefully one day

Gettingbysomehow · 20/01/2025 07:07

For some reason the 7.5.gs is making me feel much less sick than the 5mgs. In fact not sick at all and I'm losing more weight.p0

NearlyNewHip · 20/01/2025 07:36

Maybe you've found 'your' dose?

MJconfessions · 20/01/2025 08:30

Might be a silly question but does anyone have suggestions of where to buy affordable underwear & nightwear from? I find myself needing to replace everything as I lose weight, but I also don’t want to spend loads as I’m not at goal yet.

I'm not buying anything other than primark multipacks of briefs and nighties until I'm closer to my goal weight.

I'd really rather not support fast fashion clothing outlets but they are cheap and I am a povvo so it is what it is for now.

DP did ask if when I'm at a more comfortable weight would I consider buying some nicer underwear but sadly I think I'm an apple catcher for lifer. If it's good enough for Bridget Jones it's good enough for me.

Hi all

I've been taking mounjaro since last Jan, so a full year. I've lost nearly 4st, which is great as I've been going up the doses slowly. I actually lost ALL that weight on 2.5, I've been on 5mg for three months and have lost nothing at all, in the last two weeks I've actually put on 8lb Confused. I've ordered the 7.5mg to start on this week, but am a bit worried that I've got all my sugar cravings and mindless eating habits back on 5mg but I do feel some suppression, I just feel like my brain has overridden the drug and gone back to compulsive eating again.

I know I probably should have gone up the doses faster but have been loath to do that when I can still feel side effects (headache/constipation/supression). Is anyone else in the same boat with this? I'm dubious the 7.5 will even work to stop the food noise.

murraymcgill · 20/01/2025 11:47

Lost 1lb this week 10lbs to go 3 weeks left 😵‍💫
