Hi, I've just tried to inject my last 2.5 dose but the pen isn't working. Nothing is coming out? Any ideas?

I had this issue a couple of weeks back. My needle was faulty. I went to the chemist and got a couple of needles, it then worked.

rockingbird · 02/11/2024 07:00

16lbs in four weeks is amazing @Dazzledee 🙌 well done!

UtterlyQuackers · 02/11/2024 07:50

Morning all.

According to my scales I've lost 2.7kg since Wednesday.

Is that even possible??

Crazydogmumma · 02/11/2024 07:56

I did my first bonus dose last night (a day late due to being on holiday). I watched a you tube video and then managed to force the pen and inject as normal.
I have ordered another 2.5 pen as my suppression is still strong and I have a lot to loose.
slightly disappointed with only 1lb loss this week- but it is in the right direction.

TheChosenTwo · 02/11/2024 08:00

@UtterlyQuackers i can’t see how even with no food consumption at all that it would be possible! Although fluctuations are down to more than just initial consumption really so I guess it must possible?
Are you eating enough food daily?

UtterlyQuackers · 02/11/2024 08:11

Morning @TheChosenTwo

Thursday was about 1200 and yesterday was 860.

I re-took my weight 8 times. I wonder if my scales had a funny 5 minutes for my starting weight? I didn't do it more than once.

I have just ended my 2nd week and 6lb down. Could have been better but I am getting used to this way of eating and my greedy mind.

I have received the email from med express about my next order and I am happy to go up to 5mg. My question is I got £40 off my first order as a new customer. I can't see anywhere a discount for my 2nd order. Have checked the discount thread. Are people just switching providers to get a discount? I am happy with med express but equally don't want to pay full price.
Any tips?
Thank you

Med Express will price match. If you send proof you've found it cheaper, they will credit your account with the difference, and then you can place your order.

quince2figs · 02/11/2024 08:18

Morning all.

W2 D6 for me, and although still a good amount of suppression this week, less than week 1. My food intake has been very similar, and less alcohol, but so far no weight loss since last Sunday’s injection … although I’m mentally balancing this with my 3kg loss in W1!

I’m feeling hungrier and some urge to eat sweet things last 2 days - think I may do my 3rd injection tonight instead of tomorrow am.

No real side effects apart from some constipation - maybe that is affecting the loss this week. Dried fruit not really helping, so will try upping the water intake and maybe some chia seeds or psyllium!

I have my next pen (5mg) all ready to go in the fridge for 2 week’s time, and will email MedExpress with a price match request - thanks all who recommended this. They have sent 6 needles with this pen, which is great for bonus doses.

Fizzleaway1 · 02/11/2024 08:29

Week 3 weigh in today and 3lbs off.

19lbs total in 3 weeks

Good suppression on 2.5mg still

Flumpaphone · 02/11/2024 08:38

Feeling a bit flat this morning, weighed in and only 1lb lost this week according to the scales which makes 5lb in total in two weeks. In my body and clothes it feels like a bit more but I suppose the scales don't lie. I'll try to up the exercise next week.

Gilly1C · 02/11/2024 08:48

That's me just taken my first 5mg dose a day early. Decided to just go for it and miss the 3.75. Pray for me 😂

Honestly on 2.5 I had 2 weeks where it was 2lb and 1lb loss. Don't be disheartened you are going in the right direction. If you are on 2.5 remember it's a starter dose. My colleague at work lost 2lb in 4 weeks of 2.5mg and today she is on 10mg and 3 stone down. Trust the process

Loujab · 02/11/2024 09:06

I am with MedExpress and want to share my code with someone who noticed my weightloss and asked my secret! Where can I find my code on the website?

TheChosenTwo · 02/11/2024 09:08

Just weighed in after week 1 of 2.5mg and I’m an ounce under 4lbs down. Quite surprised but happy, feeling good and will do my week 2 jab this afternoon.

Gilly1C · 02/11/2024 09:10

Hi all, I wanted to know if any of you have not touched previous foods you would eat regularly (or in excess ) and not thought about them at all. For me I have not eaten the following since I took my first jag and do not think about it at, like zero interest in any of the below, it's strange but a good strange

Bread (always involved Lurpak)
Pasta
Crisps
Cheese
A chippy tea lol
Coffee

Can anyone else relate

ApolloandDaphne · 02/11/2024 09:13

I've had no urge to eat crisps, chocolate and other sweet foods. I've eaten a little cheese but not much. Cheese and crackers used to be my thing when I was hungry and bored but no more. I have eaten bread and pasta but in much smaller amounts. Sadly my wine urge doesn't seem to have been eradicated!

TheChosenTwo · 02/11/2024 09:13

@Flumpaphone do try not to be disheartened, did you take body measurements when you started? I haven’t lost much but can already see it in my face, less bloated. Sometimes you need to look at things you can’t see on the scales. I’ve noticed a difference in my face today, it’s less bloated as I’m eating far fewer carbs than usual and I think my PCOS hates my love for carbs! I’m still eating them but I’m not eating a bread based breakfast and lunch every day and also not eating 3 packets of crisps a day!!

@UtterlyQuackers maybe that’s true about the first time you weighed yourself, with my old scales I used to feel I needed to calibrate them, the first time I got on it would always put me at 3-4lbs more than I was when I got on again, I’d do 3 and average them out!
800 calories is very low though.

Flumpaphone · 02/11/2024 09:16

I haven't touched crisps which is unheard of for me and I can only sip wine and can't get past one glass, again unheard of.

I seem to have developed a bit of an aversion to what I'd call brown freezer food, things like chicken nuggets, fish fingers etc

I loved sweet things so chocolate. Iv still been having chocolate but in much smaller amounts. A fredo instead of a £1 bar on an evening for example.

I never normally eat bread or pasta and haven’t really had any since I started the injections either.

I normally drink a lot of tea and that’s also been cut right back to 2-3 cups a day max.

Flumpaphone · 02/11/2024 09:19

Thanks all for the pep talk, I do feel better I myself and DH said last night it looked like I'd lost weight.

It has come off my face a bit, I always seem to lose weight from the top down, I wish it was bottom up! Grin

Gilly1C · 02/11/2024 09:20

@ApolloandDaphne omg someone the same as me lol I am hoping my journey on 5mg will suppress my wine , read so many posts people were put off, but not me...... Yet!!!

IlovetoKnitandRead · 02/11/2024 09:23

@Flumpaphone Well done on your weight loss so far.It can be disheartening to see posters with huge losses on 2.5mg. I feel disapointed that I have lost 7lb in 3 weeks BUt wait, that is something I have never done with so little effort. So try and put it into perspective, you are setting the scene for a new you with a healthy weight and you are on a journey to get there. We will all have different experiences and like any drug we will all react differently.

EVK · 02/11/2024 09:25

Just did my bonus dose🙌🏻 (W5) got a full dose and and a little extra - so really pleased. Used two needs - did the extra first, changed needles and twisted hard - then got the bonus full dose. So that’s great 5doses from one pen makes it slightly less expensive 🙈 I’m down 2lbs this week (although this morning it looked like 1 but I weigh everyday and the rest of the week it was two (so I’m taking my average) - probably need a big poo😂)
So in 4 weeks I've lost 12 lbs. I’m so happy with that. I know lots of people are losing a lot more and some are still trying so i feel very grateful that im seeing results.
SW: 11.4
CW: 10.6
GW: 8.8 or anywhere under 9!! Would be fabulous.
Im short so my healthy BMI makes 8.8 a good in the middle of healthy weight goal.
im hoping 2.5 pen for second month will keep me going!! As that’s all I’ve got! I may have to put more personal effort into staying on track - but in the end I’m thinking that’s what it’s all
about. Happy Saturday everyone 🩷

Fizzleaway1 · 02/11/2024 09:42

@EVK well done! I was thinking of splitting one week of my 5mg pen into 2 and doing 2 extra weeks on 2.5mg before switching to 5
