W5 D4 still on 2.5mgs and really feeling it! Got that nausea and finding eating is not very enticing! Having to really work on getting breakfast in this morning. So, lower dose still very much effective.

Gr3atEscape · 05/11/2024 09:50

Has anyone noticed a change to their menstrual cycle since starting? I am late for the first time ever. Normally like clockwork. Have seen posts about people missing their period altogether on this. Not sure how much is just the effect from weight loss vs MJ specific.

MustLoveCats · 05/11/2024 09:52

'@Gr3atEscape
I got my period last week it came a day late so nothing unusual, however it was different than normal, it was lighter in colour and flow and I didn't have the usual cramps

Fizzleaway1 · 05/11/2024 10:18

Nothing noticeable different in my period. Less PMS but I don’t get that bad every month anyway.

SunQueen24 · 05/11/2024 10:22

@Gr3atEscape i imagine if people’s cycles have changed it’s because they’re eating very little.

Mine has started like normal. The only major difference is my anxiety levels which I think has been compounded by the drug + my cycle.

Yes I would have thought the same but I am certainly not one of those that can hardly eat. Eating 3 solid meals. A stone down in a month which is great but at a starting weight of 18.6, it is not that extreme to cause an issue so early on I wouldn't have thought. Will see what happens.

terracottafarm · 05/11/2024 10:42

5th week on Mounjaro, starting on 5mg today.

CW: 10st 2ibs (gained 2ibs)
SW: 11st 5
GW: 8st 5

Haven't had the best week, gained 2ibs instead of losing. Gutted to be honest but was bound to happen, food noise came back drastically so glad I'm upping my dosage today.

TheBeeGees · 05/11/2024 11:15

I'm W3 D2 (on 2.5mg)

SW 12st 9
CW 12st 0
GW 10st 4

Very happy with 9lbs in 16 days but expect it will slow down - a good thing as I'd rather do a consistent 2lbs per week, if possible.

I'm feeling hungrier than I did W1+2 but it's fine, really, and no side effects at all now the initial thirst has subsided from W1.

I have my 5mg pen ready now but not sure I will do 5mg shots as I don't want to take more than I really need.

rockingbird · 05/11/2024 11:38

Thanks @SunQueen24 and @letshavetea feel very strange today. I've managed to eat something this morning and drinking loads.. getting my electrolytes in. Hopefully I'll have a better day and get some sleep tonight 🥱
It's great I'm losing weight but I simply can't carry on like this so praying it dies down a bit.

I’ve started thread 4 as we are almost finished here

Sorry if this has already been answered, but is it normal to have to complete the who assessment process each time you order a pen? I ordered from Ashcroft pharmacy first time and they were great. Really need to order my next one and it looks like you have to do the whole thing again.

CH1968 · 05/11/2024 14:40

autumn1610 · 05/11/2024 07:40

@CH1968 just to give you a bit of hope, I have noticed a difference on jab 2 of 5mg. Jabbed on Sunday and def feeling less hungry and more full

had a quick check on scales and I’m roughly 6lb down now from when I started, I won’t log it properly till next Sunday but it’s moving slowly

Oh that's great news autumn, look forward to seeing some weight loss. I'd say I've a couple of lbs off but its hard to know. I'll be happy when I see something significant on the scales and in the mirror. Nothing wrong with slowly but surely. Thanks for the update and good luck.

I had to do it for pen 1 & 2 so possibly.

@Mysticmaiden2024

i hope your anxiety has eased. I’m day 3 now and it’s waning.

Yes luckily it was only the first day after but I have had terrible interrupted sleep, I've always been a poor sleeper but its been worse since on mounjaro. Glad your symptoms have eased too!😀

lapuf · 05/11/2024 19:29

I usually have horrible periods from endometriosis on my colon (tmi again Blush) and this week I wouldn't have even known I was on! Maybe reduced inflammation?

Well this would be an incredible benefit. I usually have chronic shoulder pain and that has also pretty much subsided.

EVK · 05/11/2024 21:32

Me too with arthritic pain in my thumb - not drinking and reduction in inflammation?

ThatVividCat · 07/11/2024 08:31

w3d1. I found this week to be ok but felt hungry yesterday. 3.2lb off this week so total of 9.2lb over the 2 weeks. not done all my measurements yet but 4.5inches off my waist over the 2 weeks!

annedawso · 07/11/2024 10:32

Just done W3 and 1.5lb weight loss, so 12.5lb in total. Now weigh 11st 3lb / 5ft 7”/ age. 58.
My appetite hasn’t been as suppressed this week and I had a chocolate bar on 2 evenings, though that is progress as normally it would lead to several bars.
I am off to Turkey tomorrow so going to take my 5th dose while on holiday. Thinking of 3.75mg for dose after that, but will see how I get on, don’t want to go up to in dose unless absolutely necessary.

Bakedpumpkin · 07/11/2024 23:10

Week 4 and all normal hunger is back don’t feel any effect at all, had a massive binge yesterday as been very stressed out 😫
counting down to being able to up my dose.

If you’ve had 4 weeks of no binges I can only imagine that’s huuuuuge progress and you have still maintained a calorie deficit during that time. That’s life, no biggie. Today is a new day.

SunQueen24 · 08/11/2024 09:37

@ThatVividCat amazing loss well done!

@EVK absolutely love that NSV!
