A new one as no 2 was nearly full.

@Mrspinknails I'm going to do another bonus dose from my first pen plus with a "hard twist" and the count clicks with what ever is left over. Or use the five pen and "count clicks" to get to 3.75.

If you look on YouTube for "bonus dose" it shows you how to do it.

Guys I’m really confused. My Numan Wegovy says 0.25, but everyone here says 2.5. Is mine a much lower dose?

This is a Mounjaro thread, not Wegovy, so the amounts are different I think!

Jab day and weigh in day tomorrow am. I've managed to eat a little more today and I've bought some electrolyte tablets which have helped to stop the shaky feeling!! 🙏 I'm so apprehensive but going to stick with it. This first week has been a real challenge, my sleep is all over the place, and food suppression has been on full force. I've already had an email to remind me to re-order but I'm holding out until Monday to see how I go over the weekend. Can't see me upping the dosage. I was 7lbs down yesterday morning so who knows what I'll be by tomorrow morning.

Sorry in advance if this has been asked a thousand times before.... re the bonus dose. I've watched a fair few you tube videos and will try the hard twist (if it doesn't work or plunge, will bin the pen and get some syringes for the next one). If, like in the videos, I manage to get the pen to the number one, is this then another full dose out of a 2.5mg pen? Or will the dosage be different as I've 'broken' the pen and forced it?

I have just tried to do the bonus dose.

After twisting it half way I had to break the pen to get it to twist round to 1.
I then injected as normal but I am confused if I got a full dose or just half where the pen broke.
The pen is still not empty but no amount of twisting will get it all out.

How is everyone doing it?

silly me!! I should’ve read the title!

I did 3.75mg as my 4th dose as I had very little effects from 2.5mg and they were wearing off within a few days. I managed to lose 10lb in 3 weeks but I've tried to restrict my calories to 1500.

I'm hoping to stay on 3.75mg for 3 or 4 doses then move up to 5mg if I find the effects wearing off, if Im still loosing roughly 2lb a week I'll stick to 3.75mg for a bit longer. I've read threads about people getting up to 15mg by week 20 and then it's stopped working eventually. This might not be an issue for many people but I need to lose over 9 stone so the likelihood is I'll need to take MJ for over a year and I don't want to risk going up the doses too fast and having it wear off.

I ordered a 5mg pen and will just count the clicks then I have the option of going up to 5mg if I feel I need it.

I have just ended my 2nd week and 6lb down. Could have been better but I am getting used to this way of eating and my greedy mind.

I have received the email from med express about my next order and I am happy to go up to 5mg. My question is I got £40 off my first order as a new customer. I can't see anywhere a discount for my 2nd order. Have checked the discount thread. Are people just switching providers to get a discount? I am happy with med express but equally don't want to pay full price.

I’m going to take my fifth dose tomorrow. I have a 5mg pen, but want to start off on 3.75, then move to 4mg and 5mg only when necessary.
Thought about doing the bonus dose on the 2.5 pen, but I think I need to move up a bit.
So- my question: if I stay on 3.75 or 4 for the next 4 doses there’ll still be a full dose left in the pen (not counting the bonus dose). Would I need to do the hard twist / use a syringe to get the last dose out, or would the pen work normally?
I wouldn’t then try to get a bonus dose from this pen, as it would have been open more that thirty days by then.

There would definitely be 5 full 3.75mg doses in a 5mg pen without doing a hard twist. 4 doses at 5mg would be 20mg and 5 doses at 3.75mg would be 18.75mg. You should also be able to get five 4mg doses out as that would be a total of 20mg without a hard twist

Thanks for this advice, i'll be copying tomorrow. I'm due my 4th injection, have had such poor suppression all week and have been wondering how best to do the 3.75. Was even considering the leap to 5mg early but will be more comfortable with this.

Hi, I took my bonus dose last week. Twisted it hard and got what appeared to be a full dose out of it. I then put a new needle on, twisted again and got the last bit out too, my pen was completely empty after that

There's a seemingly reliable website called https://www.missmounjarouk.com/ I used the comparison chart and just went with the cheapest I could find. They wanted a photo of the box or a screenshot of the prescription to prove I'd been on it and I had to send photos again. I ordered my second pen with IQdoctor, I think it was £108 including postage. They approved it within a couple of hours and it arrived the next day

Well done on doing lots of exercise and getting your eating habits nailed! I have slipped a bit the last couple of days but have just done my bonus dose - just shy of 3.75 so interested to see the difference it makes!

I have the same concern as you that I don’t want to move up too fast while it’s still having an effect. I am hoping to stick on 3.75 for a month before going to 5 if I need to - but will play by ear. Just done the bonus dose, just shy of 3.75!

Try a different needle. It could be faulty or bent.

I’m due to start my second round of 2.5mgs tomorrow - so W5 . I definitely have more hunger but am finding I can still make good choices and not overeat so I feel the same with regard to using MJ as a tool -
I need to be able to mange feeling hungry and not overeating. I ate a decent sized evening meal but still a lot less than I would have done before. I’m sure it’s still having a significant effect as I have no desire to binge on crap. Had one square of Green and Blacks dark chocolate and ginger - was happy with that - for me that’s a miracle!! I will try the famous bonus dose tomorrow but not sure if I should have that plus a dose from my new 2.5 pen or just have the bonus dose! I’ll see how many clicks I can count I guess?!
I like the sound of being able to maintain by just taking a dose every few weeks. That’s maybe how I’ll tower off ? Will we still be able to purchase MJ once we are in the healthy BMI bracket ?

Well done to all those who’ve experienced such great success this week and to those of you struggling to see any effects I really hope once you move up to 5mg things will start to shift. It just illustrates how individual our reactions are and how much we need to listen to our own bodies. Keep

8lbs loss in the first week. I have no goal weight at this point but pre Covid I was 9stone. I'm tiny so me walking round like an about to explode barrel isn't a good look.

I know this is huge loss, I'm definitely factoring in the week I've had (it's been a banger) and the awful sickness/shaky feeling.. I'm a little apprehensive about having another jab this morning but I want to keep it up and pray the side effects calm down a little.

Due to do my second injection today of 2.5mg but am still experiencing complete suppression and am nervous of getting the side effects some people have experienced as I’ve been largely free of side effects this week.
Haven’t weighed in yet but I’m not expecting much, I’m insulin resistant due to PCOS and don’t seem able to lose weight no matter how well I eat! I have not snacked all week though so we’ll see when I get on the scales later.

Morning, I've not posted lots other than week one when I has awful side effects. I've now done a full 4 weeks and have lost 16lbs in that time, so an average of 4lbs a week. Delighted with that. I still have a bit of a dodgy stomach, not th3 horrendous diarrhoea that I was having, however still quite loose and needing to go quickly, but I can cope with that!!
Injected 3.75 last night as away at a conference Monday- Wednesday and didn't want to risk bad side effects, if OK on that I'll go up to 5mg next week!
Just another 40lbs to go 😐
